Thanks for reminding us. That is why whenever I do register on their website and password was needed to log in, I do have a doubt on them. Some new gambling website are also suspicious to me so, I did not deposit high amount of bitcoin in case that scenario you mentioned will happen.
Anyhow, I do advice to just trust the established and old gaming sites rather than risking your funds in some new casinos.
Not all the new gambling sites are scammers but being with cautious can sae us if there is a scam attempt. You can even find the scam gambling and legit ambling sites even at they are very new here, one thing we need to look is if they are giving lot of bonus at initial stage or affilate marketing might get suspicious activity.
Well not really all of them scam. There might be genuine and users friendly sites as well.

I think a site that tricks and scam cannot last longer and this is the reason so many sites are very unpopular among the gamblers. But the uncertainty prevails of course and this uncertainty should be avoided. Those who have the money could put it in other solid businesses which give great return without risk.
Gambling business is profitable and this is why there are lots of business owners would really tend to jump in to the market and get a slice of market profits.
Cheating can really happen and we do have seen lots of them in the past but those wont really sustain for too long. Once a gambling site reputation is stained then it cant
really go back and about fairness of each site, we cant really sure if they didnt cheat out even on reputable or top sites as of this moment but the important thing you should consider or
to look at on how the community do support it.We can already point out which one would be worthy to play on.

Some rogue online gambling sites have been known to:

(1) Use cloned, dodgy games.
(2) Confiscate winnings and close player accounts while reciting some obscure, hidden, predatory condition.
(3) Close down operations and disappear with the money.
(4) Draw up dodgy and unfair terms and conditions that are designed to cheat players and affiliates.

Those are hypothetical situations... Not everyone thinks on scamming their Users that way.
Let's face it, if someone would want to do that they would be negating any profitable user in their end.
If an High Roller gets to be hit with that sort of cheat, they will eventually leave the Casino.

But the reality, we see that many gambling websites scam the gamblers, they don't send the money if a gambler wants to withdraw. They don't reply or answer the question from the member. The last thing that they do is shut down the website and leave it for a long time. They can do whatever they want to cheat you but like what you said if they want to make a success story in the gambling business, they need to make their members satisfy, and they will never scam the gamblers.
But such incidents are easy to avoid. Why would anybody trust a casino that came up two days ago and promising huge welcome bonuses and end up depositing there? They will obviously wait for the community feedback on forums like this one and other forums on the internet. But I can understand the rush that gamblers feel specially those who are addicted and need to take a view of a new site hoping that they can make up their loss on another site by gambling in this new site. Cheesy

Still its better to hold your horses for community feedback and verify bets - which are basics preventable things that everyone can do.

It will easy if that person knows that the website will end and will scam people so he can leave the website before a bad thing that happens. Maybe that person thinks that if the gambling website is new, they can win in many games because there are not too many people who know the site, so they are rush to join and played.

I think before we give trust in the new casino, we need to test with a small amount and see if they really pay or not especially if we win the game. Or we could spend time on that website so we will found something that could lead us to decide to deposit with bigger money or not. I am sure that for experience gamblers, they will know if something is not right and they will quit as soon as possible.

But its more profitable for them to selective scam customers that deposit large amounts.  They can't make enough noise to warn other players.   Scam casinos do things like changing your address, deleting your account, running indefinite KYC check, calling you a cheater and voiding your play.

I have played with bustadice and the experience was really wonderful. I played with a little and certainly received a little profits. I understand that the profit depends on your luck and time as well. Need to try with other sites like Windice. I spent less money and time in gambling. Hence, have not come across such a cheating site yet. Hope i don't.

Interesting stuff. Are this feature of hashing secrets not based on blockchain gambling? Or centralized websites also use it? If this is the case then it means gambling does not really need the blockchain except for the safty of  gamblers funds, and the possible delays in paying winners

Obviously, that is a scam site, giving you 5BTC in exchange of $5? Someone is not in his right mind if he will fall for this strategy. If you are worried not to be scammed or cheated, then play only in known sites or reputable ones. Because they will not stake their image for few bucks. They are really careful with cheating allegation because one mistake can ruin their reputation in the gambling industry. And that's it, end of their story.

We don't know how the team process the rewards for the winners that takes too long. I don't feel it bad if we have assurance that we will received it in one day but if it takes days, then there might have an internal problem or it might be suspicious to look for.
Now, since many gambling sites existed today, we should have to choice the reliable one basing on the players reviews.

Yes, there are lots of options nowadays actually which you wont really have that hard time on finding which one you would tend to play.Just
base on communities feedbacks and support of such site then thats the best choice.Verifying bets is easy if you are on doubt it will need some technical
effort thats why most people doesnt bother to do such thing as long its being trusted by the community then they dont really mind.

if you find cheating from that site, you can report it and of course many players will avoid it

Thing you need to know about probably fair websites

1> you control your part of secret
2> website has its know secure text, you get hash for it, so it ensure that there can not be any alteration to the server secret

so a bet roll is generated using 1 & 2, which ensures there is no cheat.

Now consider this

1> your account is hosted on there website, all it takes is 1 command to database to delete your whole account and you will not prove anything.

suppose a user deposited 10 BTC, the website can simply delete his account and claim its never been created, so what use are your secrets hash.

2> or they can alter your password and claim its been hacked and its your responsibility

[ remember : password is saved as hash in the database, so they cannot know your password but they can definitely change it , and claim its been hacked]

FOR NOW THE ONLY SOLUTION SEEMS TO ME IS TO USE , A SMART ETHEREUM CONTACT OR USE BITCOIN ON-CHAIN BETTING.
Thats why there are some precautions that is saying "Know who you are gambling with".A bright person will do that thing everytime he sneaks a new gabmling platform/website,if it has a very promising promotion that looks to be good to true then ask for opinions and feedbacks for players who have experience playing with that site

Lets suppose you want to start your business by developing and running a gambling casino or site. If you will scam people and trick people, the customers will never return to your site and give you negative feedback. This will make your business end.
Similarly the gambling casino which are meant to scam people, never last for long period of time.

Well most of stupid sites in gambling do this one and it is an obvious issue now so only few got victimized

(2) Confiscate winnings and close player accounts while reciting some obscure, hidden, predatory condition.

Had been a witness of this because friend of mine hit by this scam last year

Quote
(3) Close down operations and disappear with the money.
Hope Yobit.com will do this now to stop their Scamming site and Gone for Good
Quote
(4) Draw up dodgy and unfair terms and conditions that are designed to cheat players and affiliates.
Well this is our call to check first before entering their site for security purposes

This happens and is wide spread. I did some research and found out how the machines you use in casinos are engineered in ways designed to make you lose your money. Similar could be said about the sites you use for gambling. So yes you could get scammed easily and you would not even know it. I personally prefer not to make money in gambling but to invest it in other ventures that could give big or small returns.

If they do that they will be reported but if you want to be safe, only bet on reputable gaming and casino sites, 10 BTC is such a huge amount, you will not trust this amount to a newly launched site and of course, always do a screenshot, in case something bad happens.

I have also noticed that many gambling sites haven't been honest with their dealings, they have been cheating users for a long time. So, it is very important if you are interested in gambling then look for well-known and reputable sites.

What do you mean by dealings ? You mean in thier games ? Or on thier rules and service ?  Ive been testing different gambling sites  on the past but its a rare thing to find scammy sites but there are legit sites that have a bad service although that can be improve if they are willing to retain thier costumers.

It is not in the interest of gambling sites to cheat their users. I am talking about reputable and trusted crypto casinos. They have no reason to do that as the casino has always the house edge which is guaranteed to bring profits to the casino in the long term.

I know though that many not well known crypto casinos may play tricks on you or even worse scam you.

I agree, for established online casinos cheating is not to their advantage. They can lose thousands times more, by ruining their reputation, than the amount they can steal from someone. Many people still think that all gambling sites are cheaters, and that any "picture" can be shown to you on your computer screen, and that only fools believe in fairness of those sites. The good thing is that we shouldn't trust any site, even a reputable one, since we can check their fairness, but it's impossible to explain the provably fair system to those skeptics.
