Luckily I managed to withdraw before webcoin.us went down.

Though I left 3k coins there.  Sad

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Any update on p2pool? I know that it was mentioned in the original cryptocointalk thread. I would like to set up a node so I can easily "solo mine" with my rigs that are not all on the same network.

Dev of this coin is on top of things; didn't fork it from an ancient bitcoin version, it's using latest release of openssl and berkleydb, and even builds on mingw64 out of the box!  I think I even saw some alerts on the network.

Coin is very new. In my experience being on a exchange right at the start of a coin's life is rarely helpful.

yeah it doesn't need an exchange just yet. it's still brand new, even if it had an exchange, i'm holding my coins. i have almost 2,000,000 already and plan on getting at least 10,000,000. and i'll just hang on to them for years.

not really sure what you mean. i'm just saying i'll hold my millions for a long time, letting everyone else know it should help stabilize the coin. part of the reason bitcoin is stable is because satoshi hasn't moved his coins.

One more thought... Flutter coin would probably benefit greatly if some merchants accepted it or there was some other excuse for people to send lots of coins around, hoping for those POT blocks.

Before we get merchants to accept this we need a game or something to play. There's doge-dice, can anyone think of a similar game for Fluttercoin? Something with alliteration would be nice too, just so it has a little ring to it. I personally don't have the skills to create such a game, but I'd be willing to chip in/buy a domain to host it. Anyone else?

Quote
"First up is the venerable SatoshiDice, which is the leading bitcoin gambling site in terms of amount wagered. Responsible for more than 50% of daily network volume on the Bitcoin blockchain, SatoshiDice reported first year earnings from wagering at an impressive ฿33,310."

As jcarl987 said, the coin is still very young. Possibly having somewhere to use the coins, like a game, BEFORE an exchange would encourage people to buy and USE these coins, rather than just dump when an exchange becomes available.

With any luck this would help get the ball rolling with the POB/POT rewards.

2 of those blocks were found by http://flutter.miningwith.us/ a few mins early than you. Probably your pool lagged?

Thanks for the Info.

The Wallet has 58 Connections and the Server Load was never above 1.
There is also a Bash Script which informs Stratum about new Blocks found in the Network immediately.
Not sure why they still got orphaned.

We have about 30 mh. The top two accounts on flutter.miningwith.us

It's not really that impressive. But that's the human brain, always wanting bigger and more, never satisfied.

You have 1200 kh and you're mining potentially big payoff coins, early in the worldwide crypto development stage. I'd say you're ahead of 99.9% of the rest of the world.

Hello Fluttercoin community,

Posting here today to see who would like to join the FLC marketing/ social media team. I've already begun to set up the twitter and reddit accounts and want to possibly start on a website very soon. Tried to contact the dev directly to set this up but he clearly doesn't understand the importance of a solid marketing effort... Oh well he will learn fast. Anyways, if you are interested please post here with what you would like your role to be and we will organize from there.
