I am a big fan of litecoin. I also had a lot of potcoin but got rid of it for flutter. There really aren't that many alts that I support. I think vert has potential too.
This is the new POTcoin LOL

where is the .conf file? I don't see it in the %appdata% folder anywhere
If you don't see it in your %appdata% directory, then you don't need to save it. It's a file that you can use to configure your wallet in the case you encrypted your wallet. It's used to get around the limitations of Proof of Stake minting with an encrypted wallet. For more details, you can watch this video showing how to create a .conf file with PeerCoin (but it should be similar for all coins). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WnLvE_Vnojc&list=PLBt4zAxcWonnA8-InWGUEw-UZofHdUIeT&index=14Yeah on windows you don't need to have it, but its best to use it to set things like disable IRC, enable DNS seeding etc

ALL: if you are having trouble connecting and downloading the blockchain, ensure your not using peerblock or some other address blocking list.
If you are, make sure you at least allow permanently the node IP's listed in the conf, and any node if you dig or nslookup dnsseed.fluttercoin.us

Do you have a link to a tutorial? I've only been mining for a little over 2 weeks (sorry if I'm a bother). I've been thinking using Ubuntu instead of Windows to eek out some larger hash rates. Now that I kinda know what to expect, I can use my knowledge of mining to target/utilize my knowledge of Linux/Unix and perhaps gain greater knowledge of both (and have fun doing it).

Can the dev please contact me?
I've updated to the latest source but i'm still stuck at 15553.
Thanks Richie@bittrex
This is for anyone "stuck" because of a bad node somewhere (yet to figure out who it is) Delete all files in %appdata% except for your conf and wallet.dat Download the newest binary https://github.com/thekidcoin/fluttercoin/releases/tag/v0.4.5.3-fltMake your conf file look like this: rpcuser=username rpcpassword=password rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 connect=54.203.244.170 connect=54.203.244.27 connect=54.199.237.235 noirc=1 dnsseed=0 Its not possible to download the wrong fork using this method. All those nodes are operating on the correct blockchain. Then, shutdown the wallet, and change the conf back to look like: rpcuser=username rpcpassword=password rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 addnode=54.203.244.170 addnode=54.203.244.27 addnode=54.199.237.235 noirc=1 listen=1 dnsseed=1 server=1 I can confirm this indeed works. I backed up my wallet.dat and deleted all fluttercoin files. Downloaded the new wallet and then ran the wallet and it did get stuck at block 15553. I then deleted everything again and tried exactly what thekidcoin just described for the .conf and now my wallet is up to date and works fine. CONFIRMED! This works perfectly. Thanks! This worked for me as well, just a warning, those IP addresses were blocked by Peerblock for me, which took a while to figure out why it wouldn't work. You might need to unblock them as they are Amazon, Inc. and my P2P list was filtering them. They are my addresses... I despise peerblock for reasons like this. How would one go about unblocking IP's??? I'm not sure. But I imagine they are under the P2P list that I block. I had to unblock them. It is not Peerblock per se, but the lists that I use to block potential government snoopers. Anyways, they block Amazon cloud servers for the most part. Are you using Amazon cloud to host your nodes?

Please help a fellow member out here and come mine with us... Promise you won't regret. Running on a super charged server! Planning to launch a fluttercoin giveaway for the first loyal miners. More to be announced tomorrow!
Our first block was just confirmed. Made a payout of 4,473 FLT to a single miner. As promised yesterday: here's a giveaway! The top 10 block finders from today until the end of this month will each be given an additional 100 FLT each. You can visit our pool here: http://flutter.speedminer.orgVery stable pool. Been running the biggest iCoin pool ( http://speedminer.org) since decmber without a moment of downtime. Steady payouts checked every minute, Payout after 112 confirms (lower then other pools).

you know i was thinking earlier about how many coins are on the bter address. it has to be bter themselves just buying up all the coins. i think they found out about the coin earlier than other exchanges, liked the coin a lot and knew it had big potential. so they are acquiring as many as they can now. and then when the price is higher, they will trade them on their exchange for a large profit. if you're an exchange and you believe in a coin, why not stock up when the price is low? good for them, imo

My take is... it could be BTER's cold wallet.

That's kind of what I'm saying. But its not just deposits from customers, I'm saying they are adding to that wallet by making additional purchases.

Personally I think that if they were purchasing FLT for themselves they would most likely keep them in a seperate wallet from customers funds. My take is that since BTER was the first to add us a majority of FLT investors made their purchases there and are too lazy to move them off or want to be able to ride the price waves.

Anyone had any luck with PoT yet?
i had one for about 4500 coins. someone really early in the thread posted a screen cap of theirs too. Really won't see any more until after block 22K because the pools are unable to solve them... Remember when I said it was the pools that caused the sometimes 6 hour blocks? That was 100% true (they all probably solved them but the blocks were being rejected effectively nullifying their hashrate until a solo miner solved the block, which is why early on we never saw it). But not their fault. I needed to modify the getblocktemplate RPC function, and also modify the stratum-mining server code that they use in order to get it to work. My ignorance for not understanding how stratum mining works. If there was no stratum mining and pools still used getwork, there would have never been an issue or major fork.
