Not sure why this slipped my mind, but remember: once POS blocks start, the number of total coins decreases.  A POS block is a block, and its a block that generates no full POW reward.  So if you have 1000 blocks, and 250 are POS, thats 3,750,000 coins generated (plus whatever small number of coins is generates via POS) - not 5,000,000

This is come into play later in the coins life when more blocks are POS

This contributes to the rarity of the coin vs say a scrypt only coin.

Is this true for all PoS coins or just flutters?

Since the PoS blocks are fixed difficulty, do they affect the KGW calculations for PoW?  I should look at the code for the interactions, but too lazy....
We don't use KGW.  POS doesn't effect POW in any way.

Hey Flutterers,
FWIW, a trader (or maybe traders) has been consistently, and I'll say quite professionally, laying down a floor in FLT/BTC over the past 12 hours on Mintpal.
The trader(s) has not been chasing prices and is doing this very slowly and methodically with thin volume offered from the ask. And with regards to that thin volume, no sellers of size have really even tried testing this trader's buy-walls yet and every sell that has appeared inside the spread, close to bid, has been bought up easily.

I'll continue watching.

there's a multipool that dumps every so often on mintpal. could that be what you are seeing?

i read your post kind of fast without thinking about it too much. i think what you are saying is there's someone on mintpal slowly buying up a lot of coins?

No, this guy was slowly buying up today and laying down a trail of larger-than-average BTC buy-walls behind him in his path in case prices fall. This guy is basically averaging in at these lower prices.
And interestingly enough, as if on cue, a large FLT-seller appeared right after my post, wiped out a couple of the buy-walls, generating the largest volume block of the day, and has apparently now left.

Sidenote: I like Flutter's concept and I think it's been unfairly beaten down over the past week. We'll see if that amounts to anything over the next couple days.

yeah like i said on mintpal there is a pool that does a large volume of selling automatically and wipes out a lot of the buy orders on there. usually around 400000 to 700000 coins.

Yeah I gotta say these markets are pretty nice what with the consistent dumps from multipools - don't know what you all are complaining about ... gives us who want to obtain lots of flutter the ability to do so at these depressed prices Smiley so long as they don't smash the whole of the markets into downward spiral oblivion. veeery hard to buy on the offer side actually without these big dumps from the multipools and prices would likely be much higher than they are currently if they weren't doing these big chunk sales at indiscriminate prices. I say to the multipools gimme gimme gimme ! Also whenever I get around to setting up my new rig it's going towards flutter and I'll be keeping what I make Smiley Hope others are thinking along the same lines - take advantage of the multipools dumping now and in some time beef the network to the point where they get boxed out and we redefine the price at +1000 satoshi. Never in my life have I made as much as fast on a single coin as on flutter so you all have my support big time. I literally started with 0.75btc and about 15K mined flutter a week or so ago, and today am at 1.4 btc and about 50K flutter. Not really too big or crazy but hey making $ is making $ and flutter alone has doubled mine in a week. At this point, far as I'm concerned they can smash the thing into the ground I'll be happier than a pig in shit if I can grab a half million or million flutter sub 100 satoshi. Smiley Smiley Smiley

yeah i don't see the multi dumps as a problem, i see them as a good way to pick up more coin. i have control of about 4 million fluttercoins (lets face it my girl has no idea what's best for her coins and just listens to my advice) and i keep trying to pick up more.

i have a little side biz deal i might be coming into about $25k. I was gonna get a knc miner or maybe 2 but damn the risk involved with the delivery date has me apprehensive. i'll probably just buy a shit ton of coin, including a few million flutter  Cool

i bet in the future you will see a ton of 100% payout on a lot of dice sites. and basically people will run the dice site hoping it will get so big, and a lot of people leave coin in there. essentially becoming a crypto bank. so much competition, it's bound to happen

I haven't been by the thread for a while. the coin seems to be doing outstanding. Hats off to Kidcoin, your doing a heel of a job Smiley

Like the new website, looks real nice, very efficient and friendly.

Also love the wallet with network notification. makes things very convenient to be alerted of mandatory updates.

keep up the good work. I see a bright future for this coin Cool

I think people are reading what we write here. Like when I wrote a few days ago about huge buy walls they got wiped out.
Of course they showed up again the next day. But still kinda funny everytime someone here mentions a buy or sell wall it gets changed
or eaten.

All good.

I am just waiting for whoever is buying it all to make their move. That is when I will jump back in.
I've been in and out so many times now.

Looks like BTC is going up so maybe that will happen this week. Mayyybe.
