Is there any valid reason to continue gambling?

As the title itself, I’m thinking about the valid reason why gamblers continue to gamble even if they are losing a lot of money. Is it hard to understand that gambling will just make your money lose if you still continue?

So many addiction stories, people shares their losing experience and yet you are still gambling. The more you play the bigger the chance to lose the money. What is your reason to continue? Are you willing to chase your loses despite of the risk?

People know it's not worth it but it's hard for them to stop because it's too addictive.

Yes,people have the reason that they want to make money from agmbling even if they know the chance of happening is low buy still they are trusting those minimum chance on winning.

One good reason for someone to continue is if they are winning most of their bets and if you still have more of the winning you got from the previous bets you will still continue to bet. The thrill must have been addicting, I have that addiction but will always control because I know money don't come easy to my wallet.

On a serious note gambling is a thing done with the heart, soul and body. For those who understand gambling may not relate the word to greed according to OP but a means of earning from some one losses/lost. I'm a gambler with the control on my emotion, that's, if there is no pain there will be no gain, life itself is risk and we are still fighting for life, so, gambling is my favorite for earning in this forum either online or offline.

The only reason I think is valid enough is knowing that you're in absolute control and you can stop if you so wish at anytime overlooking all initial losses or gains. In order words the valid reason to continue is when you're sure not to be addicted and not in compromising losses.

To continue gamble we don't have any reason for that if you want to gamble then you can definitely put some good investment then we can do gamble but one thing we will definitely notice in gambling once you entered into gambling you will not get out from gambling at anytime this will definitely be happened for all people who are entered into gambling.

Lets put it this way, there's a lot of reason why we gamble. I myself gamble for a reason and one them is to keep my clients entertained when they pay me a visit in my country. When we play poker, most of the time I allow them to win, yes I loose money because of that and it's fine because that is my way to make them feel comfortable when they play against me and its fine since they are my client, I also earn from them because of the business that I have with them. I guess that's enough reason for me to keep on going even when I am already losing money.

Some people are probably addicted, some want to be entertained but overall the things that a person experiences, it's the joy and happiness that gambling brings when you win. In my opinion, people tend to get greedy most of the time probably because of many reasons like needs, wants, etc, but the main take is that once you have experienced the one thing you desire, lets say you want to win a high multiplier, you would know that it's possible to do it and you would remember all the times that you won, making yourself feel confident.

The cycle never ends. It's just like that. Not everyone is like that, but for most people that you are probably talking about, they are addicted and never going to stop gambling easily as it is a routine for them.

as the word implies, gamble, it means to take a risk and most people love to take a risk especially when it involves money, it make them who they are and it thrills their lives to take that risks. Gambling will also improve your decision making ability.

If people do know how to control themselves towards gambling then we wont able to see lots of gambling places and websites as of this moment.Theres no valid reason to continue
because each decision would vary on each persons view and perspective towards gambling. Decision making will only depend on you and in fact I do believe on whats being said above that

Some people are also getting profit. Not everybody lose their money in gambling. Some get some lose although most of the people lose. Apart from that, people are addicted to gambling. They can't quit gambling.

Fun and entertainment are the only reasons to continue gambling for me. With those two reasons, I do not need to worry of being addicted as I have my own way to get fun on gambling without worrying about losing money. That's all about self-control and self-limitation, once you can manage yourself then it is always fine to keep on gambling.

The most valid reason is winning and having easy money. Winning cash you dont work for has the same euphoria with winning the lottery and it is the main reason why people are getting addicted. Ofcourse this is not applicable to those people who are always go home lose but its the only valid reason i think.

Not each gambler is like you or me. I am also like you but some gambler can't continue their addiction like is because they spent a lot of time with those shit. They get into gambling. And yeah, I also do some gambling sometimes but I know how to avoid it.

Well people's definition of what's valid and what's not varies. What may seem valid you can be wrong for others so there's really no definite answer to this. Some continue gambling because they feel like they can't cope without doing it everyday. May sound invalid for me and you, but for the gambler, it's the only reason that matters.

Gambling isn't of any valid reason. People get into gambling whenever they find this to be interesting or gives them some form of enthusiasm. Myself used to play when I have excess funds to spend after fulfilling all my family expenses. This will give me the freedom to spend without any fear, because even if I loss my life won't be affected. The same when played with my daily expense money I'll be in a compulsion to win which isn't possible with gambling every time.

Aren't there already hundreds of topics asking this exact same thing in this section already? Losing money is part of gambling as is winning, but if you set yourself a weekly limit of say $25-$50 then does it really matter if you keep losing? To many that is worth the entertainment value alone. How many people go out for an evening and spend that sort of money on a meal or alcoholic drinks? I wouldn't say someone had a problem if they spent $25-$50 a week on entertainment or alcohol, especially if they enjoy it. It's the same with gambling. I gamble occasionally and I know my limits. If I lose I lose. If I win then great, but I don't ever chase my losses and I enjoy the process of making and researching my bets and then watching the games involved. It adds an extra level of excitement to the sport to me. If people are constantly losing money and not enjoying it and spending more and more money to try win their money back then they should stop because they probably have a problem. Most people can enjoy most addictive things in moderation like alcohol or gambling or even harder drugs, but if you're abusing them more and more then they're going to become a problem but only you can recognize that and people need to be in control of their own lives. Gamble for fun and entertainment and if it starts to stop becoming fun or too costly then stop before it becomes a problem and find something else to do with your time and money because it's only going to end badly.

Most gamblers must be having their own reasons to continue.

These reason might be sounding stupid for others but for an addicted gambler that must be a catalyst that will be pushing them to keep on trying with gambling. Moreover gamblers are having some reason to hide their addictions. They do claim with that reason why they are going for gambling but definitely they will never prefer to reveal their addictions event to their family members.

Willing to repeat their lucky moments or chasing down previous losses are few famous reasons, most gamblers are always stating. But I'm not seeing anyone get fulfilling their reasons so that they are leaving out of gambling. Their reason never finding out an end hence there gambling activities too.
