Hello everyone!
I am currently working on an automated BTCitcoin mining farm.
As the power consume is pretty high I have built an automated system which will automatically cut the power of the miners when the batteries are low.
why not just run the number of miners your system can handle? why all the trouble?
I used some smart plugs to do this. Let me know if there is a better solution than just cutting the power of the Antminers.
there is no better solution, you could keep the miner running and not mining. but it will still consume some power.
But back to my main question:
Every time I power the Antminers back on after auto shutdown, the Miner Configuration has been reset.
Is there any way to prevent that from happening?
it's probably the way you "auto-shutdown" your miners, you are most likely re-setting them, the only ssh command that is used to "shutdown" miners is
this as mentioned above will stop the miner from hashing, but AFAIK the fans will always spin.
so i am pretty sure your script has got something wrong in it, probaby a "reset" command.
also i don't understand why do you need to shutdown your miner with a software if you are using smart plugs, just kill the power, miners will shutdown competently.
you can actually either use a smart MCB or even use those smart plugs on a contractor that shuts down the main CB that your miners are connected to. there is tons of ways to do this, but IMO is not necessary, i'd suggest to run miners that your power allows you to only and non-stop .
i have noticed that these antminers don't like going on and off , they do better in passive state.
