What a surprising moment that Afghanistan is in semifinals. And one more surprising thing is that now Australia didn't qualify for the semifinals. And now these are the four teams are in semifinals. South Africa, Afghanistan, India and England. So first match us between Afghanistan and South Africa and second is between England and India. And I am looking that India and Afghanistan will play the final match. So let's see.

Afghan deserves all the praise and they deserve it, they were about to beat Australia in the ODI WC too but were bodied by Maxwell-ed. India are Group Matches bullies, they bully every team and get humbled and heartbroken in every semis or Finals. In the last decade, I've seen this story countless times in every ICC tournament. Let's hope they get their shit together this time.

True, but they won't be facing Australia this time around, Australians who usually tend to be high on confidence when facing India, so may be India has got a better chance this time around.

BTW, what's your opinion on Jadeja this season? He's been poor overall this tourney, including fielding.

I don't know anything but I am happy for Afghanistan. And you are right they improved their batting and bowling much. They beat one of the best team Australia. And now the Australian team is out of the World Cup. Second the best team is India and I think they have ability to win against India too.

The main reason behind the loss of the Bangladesh team today is the batsmen of the first phase.  Although Liton Das and Tanjid Hasan entered the field as opening batsmen, Tanjid Hasan got no chance to turn around and got out.  

Although Liton Das stayed on the field in the end, and he scored enough runs for his side. Basically, if Shakib Al Hasan, Nazmul Hasan Shanto, Mahmudullah Riyad, and Tanjid Hasan could have scored a few runs, the Bangladesh team would have won for sure.  
Because Bangladesh had a good chance to win today's match, Afghanistan team's bowling performed well in the end and won.

SA seems to have luck on their side this tournament, so better chances they'll cross semis this time around. I'd put 60-40 (SA-AFG) chance for both these teams.

I would say the two main heroes of India's victory in this match were Rohit Sharma and Kuldeep Yadav. Rohit batted well. And Kuldeep Yadav picked up the wicket of Mitchell marsh at the crucial moment of the match. Travis Head and Marsh were able to form an excellent partnership. Had Kuldeep not picked Marsh's wicket at the right time, it would have been more difficult for India to win this match. At the same time, Kuldeep took two wickets by giving only 24 runs in 4 overs.

I think  206 runs target was not big for Australian team if they make partnership and they didn't lose the wicket in last seven overs. In the first ten overs of Australian batting,match was in the control of Australian team but after that Indian bowlers bowled very well and Australian batters lose their wickets one by one and Indian team became successful to win the match against Australia. That match was tough for Indian team because that is the same time who won the last World cup against India and now India took revenge . Indian team should score 230+ runs because they were looking in good form and if Maxwell play 5 overs more then match could bend to the Australian side.

Always loved Afghanistan winning matches, they have such passion for sport, and they going against SA in semis makes it even better as I love both of these teams, wouldn't mind whoever wins there. India better win against England though.

Afghanistan's bowlers also performed very well in this match and defeated Bangladesh. After the victory of Afghanistan in this match, the Afghanistan team qualified for the semi finals. Afghanistan, South Africa, England and India qualified for the semi-finals.

South Africa and Afghanistan will meet in the first semi-final. Both these teams are very lucky in this World Cup. So I would say that even though the South African team is experienced, both the teams have equal chances to qualify for the finals.

Lol man ! I want to say if there is only one worst performer team in this t20 world cup super eight then it will be the Bangladesh team. I lost my bet today I was thought Bangladesh was going to win this match because they really did good at bowling side and target was very low but they can't take this easy score even being the stronger team from Afghanistan anyway congratulations to Afghanistan team for magical performance at the end.

From the start, I had no expectations from the batter Jadeja. In bowling he's under bowl as well, he kind of lost all his white ball tricks. He did fumble in the field but still, he's our gun fielder so I am not worried about his field.

Having said that, I don't think they will drop him because slow pitches in the Caribbean require a different skillset and an extra full-time bowler who can bat is a big plus, although he's not in form with the bat but still looks like a good bet when comparing to specialist batter or seam bowler.  

Bumrah + Arshdeep + Hardik (Batting allrounder) + Kuldeep + Axar (Spin all rounder) + Jadeja (Spin all rounder). This combination is working nicely so far and it's important for team balance. It gives you an extra bowler and most importantly with this combination, your team can bat as deep as number 8, which is necessary.

For the first time in history, Afghanistan qualified for the semi final match in T20I World Cup, not only in T20 but also for the first time in any ICC tournament.
Just imagine if they will win this World Cup  .  From the last one year since 2023, the team peak time was started, they give loss to Pakistan, New Zealand, England, United States of America and Australia too. This time Australian team has been out from the World Cup and Afghanistan qualified for the Semi-final. What an amazing experience for them, when they came in then the celebration that they have done such a next level achievement. The Afghanistan team is on its peak.

The performance of the Bangladesh team in today's match was not at all strong but played poorly. Although it is very sad for Bangladesh that they lost against Afghanistan and their dream of semi-final was dashed. However, Afghanistan team always show their best performance and fight hard enough to win against the opposition team. I am very happy that the Afghanistan team beat Bangladesh in the semi-final with their strong performance. However, South Africa vs Afghanistan for the semi-finals and India vs England will certainly make these matches more exciting.

I think it's a first time for Afghanistan to qualify for any semifinals stages of ICC competition and I think that's a huge achievement for them because mostly they were underrated but now they has proved how well they has improved and the reason behind thier player performance is playing different franchise league where they get huge experience and skill which they implement in his international duty. Anyway here is huge contribution from Rashid in term of captaincy and in term of as all rounder. Bangladesh really did well and get them on a very low target but some how rain interpt and become benifical for them otherwise may be Bangladesh give them tough time and get the game away from them. Anyway huge congratulations to Afghanistan for that achievement.

Ayy SA makes it to the semis, Rabada's four was such a clutch. I'm glad rain didn't wash-out match completely.

This is a big disappointment for the West Indies team as they not only lost this match but also lost the chance to move to the semi-finals of this world cup. We could see the sad faces not only in the team but also in the crowd as 90% of the crowd was from West Indies and they came to see their team through to the final.

Once again this match was a low score and again it was a thriller. South Africa is the only team that remain unbeaten in this tournament. What’s more exciting is that they are the only ones who won a lot of close matches and didn’t panic in the end or take the match pressure. Will they continue this form in the semi-finals and the finals ? That’s the big question.

South Africa played good cricket and not only won the game but also an unbeatable team in this World Cup like India. Hosts are out from the World Cup now everyone is waiting and watching who is coming from another group and played a Semi-final with SA.

Australia has the most aggressive batsman in the team who can be aggressive at any time. So India team has collected 174 runs in 17.2 overs so far, thus if India team continues to collect runs then there will definitely be a chance to win.

Hitman played a wonderful innings and secured a victory for India in a very important match. Australian fast bowling line is completely shattered by Hitman and other players. A loss from Afghanistan costs them a lot now and probably pushes the auses out of this world cup.

Talking about the early loss of wickets the first player who lost his wicket from the first innings is Virat Kohli. He was out by Hazlewood and it was caught out the catch was picked by Tim David.



Virat Kohli played 4 balls already and then on the next ball he tried to hit a boundary and he hit pull shot to hit the shot but the fielder picked it just because the ball hit on the upper part of the bat, it could also go for the boundary but the ball went up high and it was caught by Tim David and like this Virat Kohli lost his wicket. Anyways, other than him the Indian top order played very well.

South Africa will play against Afghanistan in the semi-finals, but I would warn them not to take the Afghans lightly. Australia learnt it the hard way. The match will take place at Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad, and we can expect the pitch to be slightly more supportive towards batting when compared to the other venues so far in this tournament. BTW, the big clash is going to be the second semi-final between India and England. India will be the overwhelming favorites, as England really struggled to qualify in group stage.

We are almost at the end of the ICC Men's 2024 T20 World Cup. These few days we have enjoyed the group stage and Super Eight round games where every team has tried to play well according to their respective abilities. However, congratulations to the four teams who succeeded in their endeavours.

Bangladesh and Afghanistan faced each other in today's match, if Bangladesh had won this match, Afghanistan would not have reached the semi-finals. As Bangladesh were defeated, Afghanistan easily reached the semi-finals and created a new history. Afghanistan have reached the semi-final of T20 Cricket World Cup for the first time in their cricket history and in that semi-final match they will face a strong cricket team like South Africa. It will not be a surprise if they manage to beat South Africa in that match as well. Because Afghanistan's team performance is currently very good. Maybe they have that ability.
