Kenya Quadrangular Cup, 2024. Zambia Vs Kenya match. Zambia won the toss and elected to bat first. Zambia started fairly well. Mohammad Bhaidu played very good innings. he made 62 runs from 44 balls six boundaries and four over boundary. Kenyan bollwer tried bowling under control. Towards the end, the Zambian batter was out too soon,  Zambia managed to score 153 runs off 8 wickets in 20 overs. Kenya opened their batting with a target of 154 runs.Tanzeel Sheikh and Shem Ngoche played quite well.  Especially Shem Ngoche played very good innings he made twenty-eight runs out of twelve deliveries.Kenya reached their target in 16.5 overs.

Anyone following the Lanka Premier League? This time they have introduced a feature called "power blast". It means that during 16th and 17th overs of the innings, only four players will be permitted outside the 30-yard circle. LPL 2024 is scheduled to happen from 1st July to 21st July, but there is an overlap with Major League Cricket in the USA (5th July to 28th July). And without any doubt, MLC is much more popular compared to LPL in major markets such as India and Middle-east.

Not really following it yet but LPL is already in progress and currently, the third match of this league is in progress between Colombo Strikers and Kandy Falcons. I do not like this experiment of 16-17th over fielding restrictions as it will make things more difficult for the bowlers. We do not only want to see the fours and sixes and bowlers having no impact on the game  

And for the Major League Cricket, the matches will be played at Morrisville and Dallas, the focus is to make the USA a hub of cricket too. Since the matches being played at the USA and being a first world country, there is no doubt that in the coming years it will attract the players around the world after the IPL.

I agree with you . But when South African team needed 30 runs out of 30 balls ,match was in the hand of South Africa. David Miller finished many matches and people think he is legendary player because he has a lot of experience and he played many World Cup and many leagues and have a lot of experience. They expected that Miller will finish but Surya Kumar Yadav took an excellent catch because I thought it was six but Surya bent the match to Indian side . Also South African team could stop Indian team at 150 runs but they became unsuccessful to stop them because they became lazy . Also they took wrong decision to chose the bowling first because in final match you should play first batting and you should stand a good total on board,then India Would be Under Pressure and South African team could win this match easily.

There are always replacements; it's better to replace than having veteran in team who is not performing. Anyway Washington Sundar and Axar Patel are couple Jadeja replacements that come to the mind.

There were already talks about giving young players chance even before this t20wc started, and replacing the guys like Rohit and Kohli.

Yeh Axar Patel really showed his talent in recent world cup and some how we can say he has huge role in that world cup winning because he took handsome wickets throughout the tournament in every critical match when team are in danger. So he can easily fit jaddu place while Washington hasn't showed any ordinary performance in international duty so we can't say anything about him while for Kohli and Rohit I think they already have several player who really took that responsibility like we have the young jasiwal, Gill and the emerging player of thier IPL season A.Sharma of Surpriser Hyderabad who can not only played aggressive as a oppner in power play but bowled critical overs too when needed while they have Rinku too to filled the Middle order too. But I believe they are youngster they will took time to perform better in higher level where pressure are at peak level.

People should raise questions about the mentality and performance of South African players instead of raising questions about the catch. South Africa wouldn't even won the match if it was a six. 30 runs were required from 30 balls, and they let it happen to 16 runs from last 6 balls. They have lost the match in the same way as the way they won against Bangladesh and Nepal.

Any team in the world 30 runs from 30 balls where they have five valuable wickets but need 16 runs in an over towards the end, it was again some kind of defense mode game. David Miller and Maharaj will come in the last over to take Risks. The turning point for the South African players is why Risks did not take the 18th and 19th overs. SOUTH AFRICA NEVER PLAYED THE FINAL Anyway South Africa played the final this year but could not lift the cup in the final which will be a regret of their life.

Yes, Lanka Premium Leagues 5th edition started on 1st July, and in three matches played so far Colombo Strikers, Galle Titans and B Love Candy won their first match in this session. The second match of LPL is thrilling to watch between Jaffna Kings and Galle Titans. Jaffna Kings batting first and scored a decent total 178 runs target in a loss of seven wickets. Galle Titans chase down the target in the last ball of the match 179 runs in a loss of 5 wickets. Alex Hales played a match-winning inning for Galle Titana the match by scoring 65 runs. today both matches are very interesting and I hope Colombo Strikers will win the second match they have a strong batting line in LPL this session.

Agreed. Am used to seeing teams throw away games from a winning position in the T20 format. IPL is a great example where this sort of stuff happens on a regular basis. They simply choke under crazy pressure.

Klaasen should have taken the game deep instead of throwing his bat at everything while Miller should have retained strike instead of depending on bowlers. Foolish mistakes!

It's not a normal match, it's a World Cup final and here the South African batsmen should have been patient and they should have finished. We may say that South Africa made a mistake and they must learn from that mistake but the opportunity they missed I don't know if they will get this opportunity in the next 20 years. Qualified for the final and went one stage to beat India from there they batted irresponsibly and here they were basically out of the match. 

We noticed the excitement of Indian fans and African fans on this day. We saw every moment the fans of both the countries celebrated and sat down and cheered the team but Indian cricket and Indian fans had the last laugh.

Colombo Strikers vs Kandy Falcons 3rd match today both teams have already entered the field. This match has started at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Pallekele. The performance of the batsmen between the two teams will depend on which team will win this match. Colombo Strikers  The team came out to bat and set a target of 198 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. Colombo Strikers team batsman Sadeera Samarawickrama was out for 28 runs in 26 balls. Muhammad Waseem was out for 32 runs in 18 balls. Kandy Falcons team batsmen overcame this run to win the match.It will be very difficult.

Colombo strikes really played well especially after few early opening batter dismissal thier middle order and lower middle order Took the inning away from opponent grip and put a big number on scored baord according to the condition and if we have a look at dismissal it's completely spinning friendly track and it's very difficult to scored such huge but some how they manage. While when thier opponent come to filled the required gap while chased they face huge trouble from spinner especially the Paksitani all rounder Shadab khan who were going with really bad form in this world cup and fans really critics him for costly overs in crucial situation got a handsome number of wickets with Hattrick and I think that they Turing point where they almost won the match.

I am not in favor of having comparison of talk about replacements because it's all part of the game and every player is replaceable with now we are having one of the strongest domestic league IPL in India which is bringing amazing talent and things are going at the new level as we have too many players with the confidence level is already at his best things are going India could be having one of the best T20i team and things will be favor them for existing of this all for the decades instead of years.

IPL is bringing many players which are surely having amazing talent and their development and skills are also having extraordinary things, but now it's time for the BCCI to work on technology as well which will make life easier and bring things at the level where we have Australia which is surely one of the best with their own system and having things which are giving them edge against all countries.

Shadab Khan played a key role in Colombo Striker's win against Kandy with his impressive bowling figures of 4/22. However, he has not performed well for the national team and normally fans really critics him. From my understanding he should only be considered ready for international cricket if he performs consistently well in domestic leagues for several years. He needs to prove that he is more than just a league player.

Like CA uses Hot Spot, it's a cutting edge tech mainly developed for the military. However, for the same reason, they don't share this tech with ICC so one can forget about the BCCI.

In India, DRS is now commonly used domestically, but I guess not for every match. Heard in some podcasts that now BCCI also focuses on Data Analytics of players in the domestic, not sure if the data or process is in the public domain.

Checked the young T-20 squad for Zim tour. The batting department looks promising and packed with some quality hitters but bowling is meh atm
