Yep, Zimbabwe is a very weak team against India or any other opponents. But you shouldn't address them in this way. India lost this match today, because they had a high wicket fall at the end. I never imagined that the Indian team will perform so badly, Shubman Gill has led the new team in today's match. Shubman Gill definitely suits me as the captain. But the unique batsmen got out very easily, this is where the Indian team failed. The Zimbabwean team did the best in terms of bowling performance, as India beat the team by a huge margin.

IMO it's not a fair comparison because, for starters, this is a completely different squad. Not one player from this squad featured in WC winning 15 men's squad.

Overall, I felt that Indian batters took this lightly and looked complacent with their shot selection. Washi also needs to learn how to bat tactically with the tail and learn to farm the strike because this is becoming his habit despite being a capable batter.

I've read it tho but to me, it felt like the comment's focus was more on the initial statement because after the loss, that's a popular narrative running around, hence I responded to that only and not their existing capabilities, which everybody is aware of.

Having said that, I'd say that In T-20I only Washi is more experienced and so far even the likes of Gill or Ruthu were used as a filler. IPL experience does count but International clashes are different ball games. Also, I strongly believe that complacency played a big role tonight and they didn't respect conditions enough.

There is no competition between Indian (whether young or otherwise) and Zimbabwe, so personally there is not much interest for watching this series except for getting regular cricket fill.

Unexpected thing happened: this small team has defeated the word champions. Zimbabwe has beat India and is now leading in the series. No one from the Indian team did the good batting. Does this mean after Rohit and Virat the team is losing its dominance? How the team will go from now on. Zimbabwe didn’t qualify for the World Cup, and now they beat India. May be you are right because I think no one thought that West Indies Zimbabwe will gonna win this match. Because the West Indies team is weaker than the India team, moreover they are the champions of the last ICC World, so it is natural to think that India will win this match.  And on the other hand West Indies Zimbabwe team took only 115 runs which is an easy target for all teams in T20 format.

You are right.The players in this Indian squad are not very experienced in international cricket. But I feel bad because every one of these players we have seen perform well in IPL. I had higher expectations especially from Abhishek, Gaikwad and Gill. After playing so well in the IPL, if they cannot play well against a weak team like Zimbabwe in the national team jersey, then these players will not get a place in the Indian national team in the future.
The way I saw Abhishek Sharma perform in the IPL, I expected him to become a regular player in the Indian national team. Abhishek should be more diligent and practice.

Zimbabwe won this match because of excellent bowling by their bowlers. Indian bowlers also bowled well. It is already assumed that bowlers will do well on bowling friendly pitches.

you're right, big teams often fail against weak teams because they take them too lightly. Sarah Glenn bowled very well in today's match. He picked up 3 wickets for just 16 runs in 4 overs. For New Zealand opener Suzie Bates scored 43 runs and Jess Kerr scored 38 runs. Besides, no other batsman's performance was good.

As you mentioned here, a strong team often fails due to neglect of the weak "team". I would say that no matter how weak the opposing team is, they should never be underestimated. Because no matter how strong a team is, if they play undervalued in terms of competition, it is not unusual for the outcome of the game to be reversed. As it "happened" in the case of India against Zimbabwe in this match. However, in this match, the Indian team has come under a lot of criticism after losing against Zimbabwe. I was also not expecting such kind of performance by Indian team Basically this is a new squad. They are not the some old players. So they didn't win. Indian team bowling was better but their batting was nil. So they need more practice. But the opponent was Zimbabwe so I was not expecting that. The target was not high but Indian team didn't able to chase such a small target. By the cricket is unpredictable so we can't say anything because here in cricket anything can happen at anytime. What the hell Indian team did yesterday. I was not expecting this. Zimbabwe is not a big team. They just made 115 runs in 20 overs. And Indian was not able to chase that target.
I think India is picking up new talents. They are giving chances to new players and after that some good players will be picked up for the big teams and for the World Cups too. Therefore this team has the new players and they were not able to give their best. May be the international playing pressure. May be they will show their power in today match.

Anyone watching Major League Cricket? I really don't know what the organizers are thinking. The matches start at 1am Indian time. Given the fact that India is the largest market for cricket, this is something that seems illogical for me. They can schedule the matches at morning time in the US, which would be like prime time in India. But they doesn't seems to be interested in doing this. With all the star-studded lineups and glitzy arrangements, MLC could have raked in a large share of revenue from India if they had slightly changed the schedule.

The bowlers naturally managed to perform well as the pitch was completely bowling friendly. Sikandar Raja, Tendai Chatara and Muzarabani of the Zimbabwean squad bowled well in this match. Due to the controlled bowling of these three bowlers, the Zimbabwe team was able to defeat the Indian team.

I was surprised to see batsmen of Indian team batting like fools. This is India's second tier squad. If a batsman is able to perform well here, it would be easy for him to join the Indian main squad. Yes it is really surprising how a world champion game that won the 2024 world cup lost the match against a weak team Zimbabwe. Even before the match started I was thinking that India team will win these match but the kind of performance Zimbabwe team has given is really commendable. I think the Indian team will make a good comeback in the next matches and win the series.
