Finally we got the result of Group A stage in Asia Cup T20 where India Women team and Pakistan Women team qualified to play semi finals. We saw the Pakistan Women's team win by 10 wickets against the UAE Women's team and enter the semi-finals. UAE scored 103 runs, easily met the target by scoring 107 runs in 14.1 overs and Pakistan Women's team qualified for the semi-finals.

India women's performance in today's match was really interesting, scoring 178 runs is a tough task but India women's team did it. Nepal women team try hard they didn't win finally they lost and India women team managed to enter the semi finals. If my India Women's team can play with the confidence that they played in today's match then surely they will play a significant role in the Asia Cup and India Women's team has a good chance of winning the trophy.

No matter how hard they try, it is just impossible to make up for the shortfall in funds. The BCCI receives $230 million per year from the ICC (and they don't even need that, as they get majority of their revenue from the IPL). Compared to this Nepal receives less than 0.1% of this amount as annual allocation from the ICC. Being the richest sports body in the region, at least the BCCI could organize a few A or U23 tours to Nepal. But that is not possible due to mixing politics in sports. The BCCI meanwhile provided all the possible support to ACB in the last 10-15 years, enabling them to become a full member.

UAE Woman is not level team of Pakistan. UAE W team is low class team and they gave very low target and they don't know how to bowl because in UAE country Women did not practice cricket. If they didn't practice so how they perform well in International matches. That is not possible because to play International matches ,teams have to play many matches and that have to emit their mistakes and they have to learn from their mistakes.UAE domestic level should be upgrade and government should work on that and they have take decisions for the development of cricket but if they didn't do that then we will face that kind of one sided matches and audience didn't like that kind of matches.

Indian team give their best in all games which was expected because now we have huge difference of quality between India and other Asian cricket teams, so things were not challenging for them, and they have all three wins by huge margin now most chances we will have won for Sri Lanka and Bangladesh which will complete semifinal lineup and India will face Bangladesh, and we will have good match between Sri Lanka vs Pakistan here I am favoring Sri Lanka which is better team for me.

Pakistan after having big defeat against India done good job and fightback with good wins against Nepal by 9 wickets and UAE by 10 wickets which was surprising for me because I was not expecting them to perform like this, but we have extraordinary performance by Gul Feroza and Muneeba Ali which give them good wins and now having spot into semifinal.

Women's Asia Cup: SL vs THA

Lol, Phannita Maya 2 runs of 18 balls (a good blinder from Chamari though), and Laomi 4 runs of 16 balls, if it doesn't look significant, that's 6 runs in 5.4 overs. In t20I playing like this is recipe to lose, SL chased 94 run target effortlessly. I could be having high expectations from these new teams, but these were mine first reactions upon seeing the score.

The 12th match of Women's Asia Cup 2024 where the strong Sri Lanka Women's team and their weaker team Thailand Women's faced each other.This match was a low scoring match especially as Thailand women batting first scored only 93 runs which was a very low total runs.
The batsmen of the Sri Lanka women's team did not have much trouble collecting these few runs given to the women of Thailand. They batted very easily and comfortably even in the last stages winning the match by a huge margin of 10 wickets. Sri Lanka women needed only 11.3 overs to score the winning score while Thailand women took 20 overs to collect 93 runs.

If we look at the points table of this year's Asia Cup tournament, we can see that India and Pakistan from Group A and Bangladesh and Sri Lanka from Group B will qualify for the semi-finals.

LOL... yes.. their jersey looks really good.

A few years back, Thailand was being considered as one of the strongest associate teams in women's cricket. But lack of funding from the ICC has started to take it's toll. The quality of their cricket is declining and it is very much evident from their performance in this tournament. Still the situation is not entirely hopeless. ACC is providing funds to Thailand and they do arrange support in the form of training and travel. Many of their players are still in their 20s, so there is a lot of scope for improvement.
