Although the Sri Lankan team tried hard to meet the target given by India, but they unfortunately lost by 43 runs. It was really interesting that the Indian team played well in the first T20 match, surely they will play more hard in the next matches and collect a great score. Sri Lankan team might not be able to win the series against India in T20 matches because India is much stronger than Sri Lanka. But if the Sri Lankan team can show their great performance, then surely there will be a chance to win against India in the next matches. He led this match from the front even as they helped his team score big with a brilliant batting performance. Currently, the T20 series between India and Sri Lanka is going on in which one match has already been completed.In this match, India batted first and collected 213 runs. Almost all the batsmen of the Indian team have batted well but among them Surya Kumar Yadav is the only batsman who has completed his half century.

Sri Lankan batsman Pathum Nisanka was put into an attacking role from the start after being put in to bat with the target given by India. He even played a great innings but unfortunately his team could not win this match.

In T20I format, anything can happen. India had a series against Zimbabwe a few weeks ago, and they lost the first match against a team who couldn't even qualify to the T20I World Cup. The Indian squad for series against Sri Lanka is quite young, with a not so young Suryakumar Yadav as the captain. The Gen next of Indian cricket was selected this time - Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Riyan Parag, Rinku Singh and Ravi Bishnoi, along with the selectors favorites - Mohammed Siraj and Arshdeep Singh.

Don't want to read much into it but it was refreshing to watch Gill. He showed some intent with the bat, that's what you need from your openers in the Powerplay.  Also, such an outcome comes from healthy competition, he should be aware of the fact that 2 in form batters are in line if he fails.

Gill got golden ticket since GG even mentioned him as all three formats player which implies he is most likely to be the preferred candidate even though others got better stats than him.

Indian bowling attack looks pretty ordinary in the absence of Bumrah, Pathum Nisanka played a blinder but got out in the wrong time, still India are the favorites to win this match just cause the required RR is climbing over 14 for the last 5 overs.

Considering their FTP commitments, Indian national team plays tons of cricket every year, one of the reasons becoming an all format player is tough but they are backing Gill and soon Jaiswal too (once Rohit retires from the ODI). These guys are young and hardly roll their arms (bowling) so it could be manageable but I hope management uses them wisely once these kids gain enough experience.

In ODI and test Gill seems to be doing enough but in t-20 he needs to do more, backing a player is not a bad thing but competition is healthy because other players are ready to replace you. In such an environment, one bad patch could cost you a spot in T-20. He was about to lose his position in the test too but luckily he clicked there at the right time.

All four batsmen of India's top order batted brilliantly. And these four batsmen were able to amass a massive 213 as a result of their aggressive batting. Jiaswal scored 40 runs off 21 balls. Shubman Gill scored 34 runs from just 16 balls, Suryakumar Yadav scored 58 runs from 26 balls and Rishab Pant scored 49 runs from 33 balls. Even if India lost 7 wickets, still I would say Sri Lankan bowlers bowled very badly in this match. However, Matheesha Pathirana managed to pick up 4 wickets despite giving away 40 runs in 4 overs.

This time the Indian team had a good start with Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal partnership and made good runs as the opening pair. In the series between India vs Zimbabwe which was played some days before, the Indian opening pair was also this but that time, they both don’t perform like this means when Shubman Gill performed then Yashasvi Jaiswal out early and when Yashasvi Jaiswal performed then Shubman out early. However, today we have seen improvement in both players and they both made amazing runs in the powerplay, i hope it will be like this in the next matches and in the important matches for India, they both are the key players for India.

In this first game of the series, I am impressed with the batting of India under new skipper as they were able to pile up 213 runs thanks to Surya Kumar and Rishabh Pant and also openers gave them good start. Here we have batting quality at its best for the India because no Sri Lankan bowler was able to stop them from having freely runs all around the ground.

In reply, we have good start for the home side as well but as they lost their openers, things gone against them no batsmen got any support, we see 7 batsmen gone back with single digit including 4 were on duck. This is surely big setback for the Sri Lanka in chase because as they got good start and from there things were looking for close end, but Indian bowling quality was at its best to save my bet. Yes, that was an easy prediction as usual with low odds.

Although India won the first T20I match, the chances of India winning the second T20I match today are very high. Because the Indian team squad is already stronger as Suraiya Kumar Yadav is serving as the captain.
Although he is managing the match in a new way so he is controlling the bowling and batting quite well on his part, the bowling and batting management of the first match was excellent due to which the Indian team won by a wide margin. 

Therefore, in today's match, the players of the Indian team will perform strongly, and as batting, he scored a half century in the first match, so he is well known as a reliable batsman in this match.

Having Gill and youngsters for test and twenty and then few players for the ODI and twenty are surely going to be easier to manage and this will also work for keeping load on balance which will surely increase their performance and sporting time India is one of the most busy country in cricket, and they are surely able to have all things well manageable if they fail to keep things on better way then they can fail consequences in future as well.

First weakness I noticed in Sri Lanka sqaud was low quality performance of their bowlers and their bowlers was unable to restrict at low scores like 150 to 160 but Indian batters successfully achieved 213 scores massive scores. Some earlier batters expressed good performance with picking nice scores like Pathum Nissanka (79/48) and Kusal Mendis (45/27). The brilliant performance of the Sri Lanka Women's team in the final match against the India Women's team was truly impressive. Sri Lanka women's team won against India women's team today by 8 wickets. In this match I thought maybe India women team will win against Sri Lanka and they will win the trophy but completely opposite happened and India lost instead Sri Lanka women team won. India women's team collected 165 runs, although this run was not much for the final match, but Sri Lankan team managed to meet this target very easily. Harshitha Samarawickrama and Chamari Athapaththu's outstanding batting performances helped the Sri Lankan women's team to become champions today. And they won by 167 runs by 8 wickets although India women team did not have a very good bowling performance in today's match due to which they lost. However the Sri Lankan women's team saw their strong performance and improved their game due to which they got this great win.

SKY was awarded as player of the match because he was top performer in this match and made 58 runs in 26 balls.Pant also played well and made 49 runs in just 33 balls and openers of Indian team provided good base in this match . Sri Lankan openers played well at the start but when openers gave their wickets then all team out by making only 170 runs.Mendis and Nissanka made good partnership from which Nissanka made 79 runs in 48 balls and Mendis made 45 runs in just 27 balls but Sri Lankan team lose the match by 43 runs.

Today once again we will see the match between India and Sri Lanka which may once again be won by the Indian team. Also today we can say there are some chances for the Sri Lanka team to win this game as we have seen the in last game between them so amazing effort by the Sri Lanka team but when the game reached near the end they lost the way, they lost two wickets back to back and then the dropped their effort because they understood they would lose this match but today they got a chance once again to beat India in their home ground.

By the way, the news is that it was raining at Pallekele and now the match is delayed due to Wet out field.

That was a good Indian batting line-up, there were some beautiful shots that I personally liked Gill's pull to six and Pandya's four to a yorker from Pathirana. It was good atomosphere overall — passionate fans, passion from SL team themselves, and I was glad to see Sanath Jaysuriya in SL dug-out.

SL gave a good fightback, but unfortunately a collapse that often seen with high run chases.

Internal politics plays vital role in picking up certain players and the same reason caused many of the talented individuals lost their career despite they performed well whenever they were given chances. India can even have 3 different team for 3 formats but since cricket became a business a long time ago than just a sport so they need that star value player and that's reason they are sticking with same old fellas.

Today as we have Sri Lankan start in second twenty20 match I was expecting nearly 200 runs from them but again after having good start we have brilliant fight back by spirited Indian bowling Hardick Pandya and Ravi Bishnoi took 4 wickets in 12 balls which stop Sri Lankan aggression and game is now completely under Indian control.

Kusal Perera is having good consistency in his batting 54 runs on 34 balls but sadly no other batsman having ability to face Indian quality bowling which is now doing good job in death overs of this game 16th and 17th overs bring back game into Indian side Arsdeep singh doing his job as he takes his second and 7th of the Sri Lankan inning last four overs having good for the Indian team.

Indian Bowlers bowl very well especially Ravi Bishnoi who picked 3 important wickets by just giving 26 runs and hardik Pandya also bowel well picked 2 crucial wickets by just giving 23 runs and helped Indian team to restricted Sri Lanka in a low runs. In my opinion a Target of 150 or 160 runs in a low score in T20 and especially when you are playing against the world class team Indian. from Sri lanka Kusal Perera played a good inning scored half century 53 runs from just 34 balls but no one stand with him. Sri Lanka needs to bowl well and pick early wickets of Indian openers if they level the series by winning this match
