Australia created a batting-friendly wicket, which gave the batsmen of both teams a good advantage and we saw big runs in every match. Brian Lara and Viv Richards maybe legendary players, but they are not good administrators. BTW, WICB forced Shivnarine Chanderpaul to retire from test cricket, as they were afraid that he will overtake Lara as the top run-scorer for West Indies. Lara was mute back then. What the WICB need is some professionalism in the board. They should hire qualified people manage the affairs, rather than political appointees. And that is something which will never happen. So for the foreseeable future, WICB will continue to be a money draining blackhole for the ICC.
