✂✂✂✂
Squad is out, in t-20 only surprise was Hardik missing out ( maybe due to injury) and Reddy's inclusion.

At the moment, there can be only one pace bowling allrounder in the playing XI. And for now, that spot goes to Nitish Kumar Reddy. Pandya had an average IPL season, and maybe he needs a break now. Other options are Venkatesh Iyer and Shardul Thakur, but they were not being considered. Still surprised with the inclusion of Samson in the squad. How many opportunities need to be given to this guy? And in case Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Abhishek Sharma opens the bat, with Ishan Kishan at the no.3 position, I can't imagine him getting a place in the XI.
Indian team piggy back on sanju in WC knockouts tho so taunting about "how many chances" isn't fair imo.

I also think new kid should get chance but not like this, it should be smooth transition. Still have plenty of time for experiment at the opening slot.

Management has moved on from thakur ji and venky is nowhere in discussion.

Pakistan Women wanted a bit of a test in this warm up match, hence they gave Sri Lanka a nice target to chase. The best target to beat in Women T20 cricket is more than 160 runs. But here Sri Lanka Women had amazing performance as their batters did not give any breathing space to Pakistan Women bowlers. A team losing a wicket and still making good runs to the scoreboard so easily shows that their top order is in great shape for World Cup. Pakistan Women side just have to improve their plan for the bowlers soon as they are simply letting wickets go due to such easy catches.
That was not two sided match as Sri Lanka W team performance was excellent in this match and they chased the target in second last over . Pakistan W International cricket team made an average target in this match and they should try to make 200 runs in this match and their bowling was also very weak in this match . Chamari Athapaththu gave her all effort to win this match because she made a 94 score in this match and she played 58 Balls in this match. She hit 9 fours and 5 sixes in this match and she was a top quality player in this match. Vishmi Gunaratne also played well in this match and she made half century in this match and she made 63 runs in just 50 balls . Vimukthi took 4 wickets in this match and she was a top class player in this match because no player could take 4 wickets in this match besides that player.

To be honest I don't feel anything about Sky being left out of the team. In my opinion he has been one of the most disappointing players in India's ODI and T20 squads. In the tournaments that India won, his contribution was nathing. The only player I feel sorry for is Shreyas Iyer. He truly deserves a place in the Indian team. He has been one of India's most consistent performers and is  the best middle order batsman in the country right now and he should definitely be a part of Indias squad.

The only significant contribution I remember from him is that catch in T20 wc, which sealed the trophy for India and I do give full accolades for that — to take that catch was something in pressure situation. As for ODI contributions, he was added as Hardik's replacement in ODIWC '23 and holy fuck, the sheer disappointment he was.

I ain't sure if Shreyas should be T20 squad, but should be no brainer for ODIs.

Pakistani team began the game strongly, in power play they added 60 runs. But soon Sri Lankan team broke down their momentum by building pressure through ball. The decision to handing the  ball to Vimukhthi proved to be excellent for them. He smashed 4 important players of Pakistani team. His spell was electrifying the the energy ,and added thrilled among the supporter of  Sri Lankan team. However Pakistani team finished their turn on 168 runs. Sri Lankan team stepped up with confidence because the target was easy. They wrapped this win on the loss of only one wicket. Athapaththu played an ideal innings, significantly added 94 runs. He has the ability to read each ball of opponents and decided his response according to that. No doubt Sri Lankan showcased their strong performance today on County Ground.

This was the third match of the World Cup warm up in which Sri Lanka woman win this match.Sri Lanka woman won this match with 9 wickets and 9 balls remaining. The reason for Pakistan Women defeat was also that Pakistan Women did not work hard at all in the previous series  Pakistan Women need a lot of practice to improve themselves and become stronger. If Pakistan Women had bowled well then they would have been confident of 168 runs while Pakistan Women bowlers took only 1 wicket and did not bowl hard so Sri Lanka woman easily succeed in their target.Sri Lanka woman was such a strong and powerful team that only the first two batsmen were able to achieve the target alone.Pakistan had great batting but it is very important to improve the bowling action.

Yo, I came across something funny when surfing YT — Sanjeev Goenka: Pant The future of IPL

Not sure if Pant was sacked or left captaincy by himself (irrespective of whatever the note says) but now this video has become funny after that happening; must put emphasis on 'mark my words' part, it just makes it much better.

It's in hindi though but Goenka is basically saying: Pant will play for LSG for next 15 years or so and should be winning 6 ipl titles or so during this timeframe and he'll fall into same league as in other successful IPL captains like MSD, Rohit (feel free to do better translation).

The ECB have brought forward start times for England's floodlit T20Is against India next month in order to maximise TV viewing figures.

India's men will tour for eight white-ball games from July 1-19, with five T20Is and three ODIs. The three evening games in the five-match T20I series were initially scheduled to begin at 6.30pm local time (11pm IST), as announced by the ECB last year, but have since been brought forward to 5.30pm (10pm IST) starts after discussions with broadcasters.

Start times for England's home internationals are finalised after consultation between the ECB, venues, opposition boards, and domestic and overseas broadcasters - in this case, Sky Sports (UK) and the Sony Sports Network (India).

The change in start times from the 6.30pm slot, which has become standard in recent seasons, underlines English cricket's reliance on "high-value broadcast series" - effectively, those which feature India - which was laid bare in the ECB's recently published financial report.
