Save for tracking both gold and BTC's price, I think we shouldn't be comparing them that much. They've both been used as currency and that's where the similarities end. One is physical, one exists as 0s and 1s. Both have their uses.

Gold is way better than bitcoin in reality. If we're being practical in such a way where internet is not a good thing anymore, gold is a precious thing. It can be sold for a lot of money in the future while the bitcoin can be replaced by an upgraded or a thing that is way more better and has a lot of benefits.

When people hoard stuff, they usually think of worst case scenarios. You'd find it hard to sell gold in SHTF situations. Only good thing is that no matter how much time passes, your gold cache would still be gold. BTC would not survive the destruction of the internet and power grid.

A lot of us likes to judge their success by their price forgetting that their market cap is what matters, I think Gold market cap is almost 40 times the market cap of present Cryptocurrency market cap, though gold has been existing for years and BTC is just 10 years, but both are also very good and have their own role to play in the development of the economy worldwide.

Once Bitcoin overcomes all this hurdles its presently passing through and the adoption becomes very wide, it will eventually go close to Gold cap too in years to come, that is why we all need to always look at the future and not the present situation the market is now that is making every investor panic.

Imo bitcoin is not new because its been already 9+ years since it existed and most of us now are actually already fammilliar with it but they are only doubting to use bitcoin because they cannot see bitcoin , they think bitcoin is unreal or a scam coin . this thinking only limits the adoption while gold is undoubtedly legit in any angle . all people in all ages recognized and will love to take a piece of it but we'l never know in the more decades to come if people revert their minds to embrace bitcoin .
