I don't think it needs to be 500k just to get more hyped, there is a leeway of betting smaller and getting quicker results which is why I think people would not wait until 125k eos and bet smaller and tiny amounts and try their best before that number. Jackpots are such a small chance that normally you would expect it to never hit, people say things like if the odds are 1 in 2.5 million that I will play 2.5 million times and eventually win, but thats not the case, your first bet has the same chance of hitting jackpot as your last bet which is why it is super impossible to hit jackpot normally.

However sometimes luck would have it someone wins jackpot and 10 days later another person wins a much lower jackpot, you never know when you will hit it, maybe someone will hit jackpot in an hour, maybe it will be another year, its that kind of odds.

Odds don't matter to people who are chasing the lottery prices, only the amount of jackpot does. Otherwise they would just play for the smaller amounts.
Greed is the ultimate gambler customer appeal. Not the rationality.

This is why this is a good marketing for the project, if it goes more than $500k its a record breaking. People will keep trying to get that jackpot and will try their luck. I noticed myself sending EOS in my account just to try my luck so that's a personal testimony. Must be my greed.

Who knows that greed inside you will bring the bacon home, we don't have control with our luck, and if destiny brings you the jackpot you'll forever remembered how greed change your life, that amount will surely be more interested to be won by anyone from this gambling site.

Do we know if the jackpot will have an affect on the dividends or not? I mean if 20k is already set aside and was taken from each bet by a small sum and not put on dividends than it means that is 20k that could have been distributed to dividends but did not in order to create jackpot which I am sure many would agree is a good marketing strategy but doing something like that without the approval of shareholders sounds a bit centralized, maybe it should have been "voted" somehow with bet tokens to see if the bet owners want that money on their pocket or want that to be a marketing budget.

If it hasn't been collected so far and will be given after the jackpot hit and affect the dividends that is even worse and would probably create problems in ownership but I doubt that is the case, eosbet is ran much better than that.

Gaming Curacao, you claim to operate under, is a scam artist with many scams!

How many BET tokens were issued so far?

I know that bitcointalk is flooded with dumbasses, but the more tokens are issued the lower the dividend per token will become and the lower the total dividend!

Where are the shareholder terms and conditions?

Where is the dividend calculation?

Over 100M EOS has officially been wagered on EOSBet.io! That's over 10% of the entire circulating supply of EOS!
With this fraud scheme no surprise that so many dumbasses are falling into this trap! Cheesy

Correct me if i am wrong but for playing for jackpot you have to pay extra (0.05 eos) for every bet for the the golden ticket, and that bit goes to jackpot, it's not taken from the underlying normal bet.

If it hasn't been collected so far and will be given after the jackpot hit and affect the dividends that is even worse and would probably create problems in ownership but I doubt that is the case, eosbet is ran much better than that.

The jackpot is not filled from normal bets, but it's an extra side bet you can chose to participate in. If you want to win the Jackpot an extra 20$cents or so is taken from your account for a spin. 100% of that amount is going to the Jackpot. So dividends are still the same for the BET holders.

However when the Jackpot is won the winner gets to keep 90% of it. The other 10% goes to the dividends pool. So BET holders are actually benefitting from an higher Jackpot pool in 2 ways:

1. More volume (=more dividends) on normal bets as more people want to win the jackpot when it grows.
2. More dividends as 10% goes to dividends pool when won.

Which will incentivices holders to keep holding more and more once the Jackpot grows. Genius system actually  Grin

When the Jackpot is won the EOSBet team will refill the initial amount again.

I don't think so. Betting with EOS bringing way more bet token compared to btc and ltc. So even people know there are btc and ltc available they simply don't choose them. Because betting with eos is more profitable.

Why is betting with EOS more profitable?

Is the house edge lower when you bet with EOS compared to BTC or LTC?

How is it profitable to bet against a house edge?

Definition profit: A financial gain, especially the difference between the amount earned and the amount spent in buying, operating, or producing something.

Actually i am wrong:

"Earn Free BET by Playing
Currently, we are airdropping BET tokens to our bettors. These tokens grant you dividends for life, and BET holders receive 100% of profits generated by EOSBet. For every 20 EOS you wager, you will receive 1 BET token. And for every 1 BTC you wager, you will receive 80 BET tokens!"

I thought 1 btc you wager you got 20 bet tokens which is making eos better but no it was 80 bet. So i have no idea why people is not using bitcoin. Maybe it takes higher fees and longer time to transfer compared to eos.

That is what I wanted to know about, how it affects the shareholders (bet token holders). I know its a side bet but if you do not hit the jackpot that money goes directly to jackpot amount and not count as a "win" for dividends as I understand. If that is true than there is a certain sum of money (right now above 20 thousand dollars from what we understand) that is basically unused until a jackpot is won, which could be used for something but I don't know how "ponzi" it would become.

The fact is there is absolutely some certain amount that is unused and it could be not touched until someone wins the jackpot or it could be used for something without spending the capital (like interest from banks for example) that could increase that even faster if you ask me.

Wouldn't make sense to use the jackpot amount since someone could win it every second.

If this is the case then this would be pretty bad since there is overall more loss more like physical casinos. There are crypto casinos such as BetHash which deals with this by providing its users with passive income via dividends. Check this out here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5129963.0

No, there is a part of jackpot giving out as dividends but not while playing it seems. When jackpot wins, it gives %10 as a dividend.

"Please note, 100% of the jackpot ticket price will go into the pool. You will not receive BET tokens for this purchase. 90% of the jackpot prize will be awarded to the winner, with 10% being distributed proportionately to all BET token holders."

I'd say the sliver lining in this if anything is promoting EOS platform suitability for the gambling community (and many more crypto spaces) which major casinos like Bithash and the rest few have already recognised and incorporated in their project each providing their unique user experience. In essence these are all unifying acts of crypto rather than a divide like other people seem to interpret.

well this is why eosbet also allows btc and ltc and god know which token to be wagered in the next months. btc is what matters the most and there it goes, they add more  to please the rest.

If someone wagers 1 BTC with 1% house edge he will statistically lose 0.01 BTC and gets 80 BET tokens.

How much rendite is currently paid to each BET token?

So I found this article https://cryptovest.com/news/stellar-xlm-flippens-bitcoin-cash-bch-achieves-a-higher-ranking-to-date/ which talks about EOSBet becoming the first licensed blockchain based online casino and that got me thinking about why haven't the rest of the casinos done the same? What are the main hurdles to become fully licensed since all of the casinos pretty much emphasise their transparency and provably fair platform?

Promoting in another companies channel screams desperation from bethash. Really a foolish move.

People are probably wearing them signatures because they saw what's happening with Eosbet and they want to back the second horse that could do that miracle again.
Just because they wear them doesn't mean they wouldn't be bullish on Eosbet. Just look at the context of the text, there's no fud what so ever.

There's literally no mention about Eosbet in that. I googled the right link for interested participants: https://cryptovest.com/news/eosbet-becomes-first-licensed-on-chain-blockchain-casino/
