early ? when do you think crypto has started ?  bitcoin came out first on the year 2009 and after this others also followed . exchanges are also built along the way and that includes centralized and decentralized exchanges but centalized are the ones that became popular or indemand on other words due to its huge volume ( like what you have stated above ) but aside from volumes  , i think its the stability or the service of a centralized exchange is what makes them better compare to dex exchanges  .

Very informative and give done insights for beginners. Some of them were new to me but it gives easier for us to check as it have links.
I'll be looking out of them the one that could have a satisfying transactions fees and mostly of them were just the same. And the next, will see the team configuration and to trace if they are legit or not.

While I was checking through the list, I discovered that some of the DEXes are beginning to have trades with volumes, which like we have on some centralized exchanges. I checked the trade between APOT and VNT on Allbit and I was amazed. Although, it seems there is a promotion going on, which I feel most exchanges (DEXes), should integrate trading competitions on their exchanges.

Volume is the people here, they are giving the volume in any exchange, and they can also do that with decentralized exchange.
They are more confident with centralized exchanges because they trust it over decentralized exchanges, that's the only thing, if decentralized exchange will improve and offer some good security then maybe we will see more people trading in the platform.

Volume is the people here, they are giving the volume in any exchange, and they can also do that with decentralized exchange.
They are more confident with centralized exchanges because they trust it over decentralized exchanges, that's the only thing, if decentralized exchange will improve and offer some good security then maybe we will see more people trading in the platform.

The issue with decentralized exchanges is not about trust on security, as q matter of fact, considering what is presently happening these days, it is more trustworthy than centralized exchange. There is not much much issue on the security of decentralized exchanges, like we have on centralized exchanges.

It will be part of their portfolio and if the DEX becomes successful, they will be credited for the work that they have dedicated for that project. And in return, they might receive more projects because of the success that has been seen to the creation of DEX.

Actually the answer is more of their personal benefit.

So in other words, there are no revenue model in DEX for developers? I haven't seen any benefits for developers in terms of income they can get by developing DEX. I think rather than building DEX, centralization exchange by far is the most suitable way to earn income from fees, isn't it?

Since DEX is all about decentralization the fees that they cater from our withdrawals goes actually to support the DEX itself. I'm not also seeing those devs talk about it because they are building a platform that isn't centralized. Yes, you are right. Same question should be asked to Satoshi Nakamoto. Why spend time and effort to build Bitcoin when traditional money is already easier to use and build up on?

Crypto as you can see is all started from the ideals of controlling your own money, not necessarily anonymity but to protect yourself in terms of privacy from the prying eyes of others.

Now big companies like Binance would like us to believe their DEX is decentralized but their DEX is only custody free, not decentralized in the purest sense.

It's about decentralization and it's about the innovation that they can contribute to the community. Some developers aren't really in for the money because it's either, they have it already or they want to prove something that it's possible through their idea. I think you're curiosity came out because by just checking the threads on Bounties (Altcoins) there are too many projects that are tackling about DEX, it is their product  and I'm surprised that there's many of them.

So far yes that's one of the dex with volume. After the hack of binance, a lot of users in the forum are recommending to use DEX for safer funds.  One that I have been using before was the WAVES DEX, it existed before IDEX but failed to generate more volume. I don't really see why DEX will be used often if there ain't no volume to it.
