Since Flying Hellfish didn't take a hint last time and separate his personal feelings from his moderation authority in "Politics & Society" I am starting a log here of behavior for public review and documentation. If you have something to add PM me to unlock the thread.

His strategy in the past, but now again increasingly is selective enforcement of what is and is not off topic. There are several examples which I may come back to later and post here, but I will start with this one thread I started for now just as an example.

"Evil MAGA hat kids from Covington School VS Native American"
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5101007.0;all

This was deemed on topic, and my report marked as "bad":

Quote from: TECSHARE
Yeah why should we pay any attention to the uncontrolled insane violent mobbing of children by leftists being puppeted and wound up by television and other media? No what is important is the Russia story that we some how haven't been able to produce any evidence of after 2 years of investigation.

The protest is a non-story. The media 2 minutes of hate is the story, and it is quite convenient for the left to declare everyone ignore their unhinged behavior completely detached from reality as they condemn the right for all the same things.

I agree with you but not in the way you'd like.

Once this issue became an embarrassing fiasco, intelligent liberals fled from it. There's always a shiny new penny of an anti-Conservative anti-Trump story to pick up from the gutter, right?

So let's keep moving.

We don't need to discuss all that "old stuff."

Hillary's lies...server....Bengazi.....Covington...

Keep moving, nothing to see here...

I'm not really urging anyone to ignore anything, I'm just asking for relevance to be considered. Sure, this may irritate you because you empathize with the Covington students. But if I search the forum, will I see a post from either of you condemning the attacks against David Hogg? You definitely wont from me; I had better shit to do LOL.

Either be offended by everything, or nothing. Selective outrage is hypocrisy by another name Wink

And @Spendulus, I'm not even joking when I ask you this. Like, what would it take to satisfy your side that Hillary Clinton is either innocent, or untouchable? How is it that through all the investigation launched into her, her organization, there has been nothing? She cant be that slick; supposedly there are books like Clinton Cash extolling the icky vileness of her ways. So many shitty books and docs written about her "evil shenanigans", I can find like 10 unique titles on Amazon in a minute or two. Basically, I'm trying to express that her supposed misdeeds are public knowledge.

So if she is a known bad actor, that has faced oversight at the highest levels of government yet avoided prosecution..
.. maybe shes innocent?

Whitewater was 70 Million
Email Probe was 14 Million
Benghazi was 7 Million (fun fact! Congress spent more time investigating this than 9/11. Seriously, look it up)

This is the definition of insanity, repetition with the expectation of divergent results.

Meullers probe has dredged up shit at a fraction of the time and cost. Say what you will about the man, Meuller is efficient.

Anywho, back to the subject. An FBI investigation. A Congressional investigation. And most importantly, intelligence agency oversight as she actively served in office as the Secretary of State. You know. The job you need a security clearance to perform? I understand if the gravity of a security clearance has degraded in the current WH; the highest intelligence designation in the land used to mean something before they just started handing them out like bottled water to the unqualified (Kushner, Bannon).

I personally propose we spend exactly as much money investigating Trump as we did Hillary. For the sake of fairness of course XD no stone unturned...

Speaking of Stones, *cough* Roger Stone *cough*

I bolded the part that might be considered on topic if at all.

Of course the post I made in my own thread was deemed "off topic":

Since Flying Hellfish refuses to do his job and remove off topic replies because he has trouble separating his personal feelings and beliefs from his moderation authority, I think, at least in the case of this thread I am just going to start not directly replying to off topic responses.

As you can see from the last post, and several before that there are zero or few even mentions of the actual thread topic. Given that the left's strategy in this matter has been to try to distract from this event and change the subject as much as possible, I find this behavior from all parties very relevant as far as demonstrating intent. If anyone would like to have a discussion about the actual event at hand please do post on topic.

As you can see I am responding directly on topic and commenting on the strategy of using off topic posts to distract from the topic subject matter, which is the strategy to cover up this embarrassing event here and elsewhere.

Of course there are several other off topic posts he refuses to address, even in this thread alone. He has repeatedly demonstrated that he has problems separating his personal opinions from, and he knows he has a certain amount of plausible deniability in enforcing reports.

For example, he had time to remove my post as off topic, but some how all of my reports are still "unhandled", and this is a regular occurrence, the idea being the comments stay up long enough for some one to respond to them so he has an excuse not to remove them while he always seems to have time to remove anything some one reports of my posts right away.

This kind of behavior is not conductive to free discussion, and this is the exact type of behavior we have all over the internet with control freaks abusing arbitrary enforcement of rules to silence those they disagree with. This shouldn't be tolerated here.

There is no reason this topic needed to be split other than to satiate Flying Hellfish's need to marginalize people he doesn't agree with. This subject is all very much on topic as it relates directly to Venezuela and its systems of government. Venezuela is a Socialist nation and he was attempting (poorly) to argue for it.

How exactly is anyone going to learn from the mistakes made in Venezuela if you are just picking and choosing what parts of the discussion should be had?

The above was deemed off topic in spite of the fact it was a direct discussion about Venezuela and the causes for its circumstances, yet I reported the posts below as off topic, and they are marked as "bad" either because I was the one to report them, Flying Hellfish own opinions align with their opinions, or both.

Come on - all he is doing, to use your analogy, is pouring petrol on the flames. He needs to butt out, and sort out the problems at home. All he is doing is turning the world against America. That is a shame because it is Washington, and not America that is the problem. He is going to lead you into a war, and that will destroy the country economically and politically. I don't believe that the US is the top military force any more, they seem to lose all the wars they get into directly.

Well the US is a big country and since all resources are distributed based on extreme inequality, we end up with the best and worst of everything. Jetcash statement would not apply to well-off areas but its definitely a reasonable point if you consider underserved areas within the US for your comparison.

https://www.vox.com/identities/2018/8/15/17692414/puerto-rico-power-electricity-restored-hurricane-maria
Just for perspective, Puerto Rico was without power for 11 months and it was largely due to the poor shape of the grid infrastructure before Maria. I think its safe to say it was in worse shape.
Quote
How’d they get that way? As an invaluable article in IEEE Spectrum points out, tax incentives in the 1970s induced mainland US companies to build factories in the southern part of the island, so Prepa built generating facilities there. In 1996 the tax break expired and the factories left. So today, 70 percent of Puerto Rico’s population lives in the north, around San Juan, and 70 percent of the power generation is in the south. A fragile grid connects the two via tough, mountainous terrain. Scattered rural populations have always had a tenuous connection to that grid. Meanwhile Prepa, hamstrung by billions of dollars of debt, austerity measures, and possible corruption slacked off on maintenance. Hurricane Maria sliced Puerto Rico’s broken-down grid in half.

This has been what Knowles calls a “slow disaster.” Like the lead-tainted water in Flint, Michigan or a flood in Houston, the crisis in Puerto Rico came not as a consequence of one big storm but after years of well-understood neglect. “The standard logic has been, ‘we know, and that’s just the way our government works.’ So we wait for a disaster,” Knowles says. “But disaster relief funds are not up to the challenge of meeting deferred maintenance issues.”
https://www.wired.com/story/why-cant-we-fix-puerto-ricos-power-grid/

Also, keep in mind that Flint, New Orleans, and Houston have all suffered severe disasters because of poor, foreseeable infrastructure failures that we are sure were not due to any intentional sabotage.

There is literally not even a single mention of the actual respective topics, but some people are more equal than others to Flying Hellfish.

More posts reported as off topic, but marked as "bad" because Flying Hellfish puts his personal feelings and beliefs above equitable moderation of Politics & Society.

long-winded circular rant about nothing

I just asked asked you if you believed Sandy Hook was a hoax or not. Do you believe it happened, or not?

Whats that? I can't hear you over the sound of you being off topic and having no logical argument.

I'm not trying to "argue" with you. I just wanted to know if you believe Sandy Hook actually happened or not.

It seems any time I make a report in Politics & Society for an off topic post they always go unhandled.

"Child Kidnappings by the Western-European States"

Facts are facts.  72% of undocumented immigrants work compared to 60% of the entire population so they are actually an economic plus. If you normalize their status they can live above ground while paying full taxes.  Hearings are currently being scheduled for 2022 it is short term style housing but will be used long term and even as some of those people are sent home, they will just be replaced by a ballooning amount of more refugees.

775 per day for four years is more than the average american makes in a lifetime.  Its over a million dollars.  The permanent recurring cost would be negative in the form of the income taxes 73% of these people would be paying if they were free.  The moral argument is clear, but there is no logical economic argument on your behalf.  Its not even close.  The cost of detaining these people is astronomical and we aren't even counting the money being spent "securing the border" and funding ICE which is money that could instead be spent replenishing the resources you say these people are a burden to.

Sounds on topic to me.

More "on topic" posts according to Flying Hellfish. Reported post in "Count down to Iran invasion" thread, marked as "bad".

98% personal attacks and an attack on a source reporting publicly available information. The 2% on topic part is in bold. Perhaps no one ever told him because he likes it doesn't mean it is on topic...

8 year old forum post  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes  Grin Grin

Dreaming about a war for 8 years? By the way, zerohedge isn't a reputable news source. Dumbasses on this politics forum is rampant  Cheesy

Agreed. Zero Hedge selectively caters to doomsday fanatic nimrods. I can't believe people swallow that stuff up without realizing their lunatic mindset is being selectively targeted as a reader. Its a site that exists to comfort people about their wacky, unfounded beliefs, and not much more. We're not on the brink of:

- war with Iran
- civil war
- World War 3
- financial collapse
- the apocalypse
- armageddeon
- or widespread chaos and anarchy in any form

If we were, people sure as hell wouldn't keep commenting in this forum. This is one of the foremost examples of leisure activity, representative of a society functioning at a very high level, where people have time to kill arguing about abstract nonsense.

More ignored reports of clearly off topic posts (now marked bad):

Since you are only capable of communicating in the form of cartoons, this is what you sound like...

https://i.imgur.com/bm7BQYy.png

Funny you talk about changing the rules when you don't like them when that is all the Democrat party has been doing since 2016, including this sham impeachment. As usual, more of this...

Thats... that's not a counterargument. That is saying "no u" while posting a meme that says "no u." You've clearly lost it by this point. Its ridiculous to think you deserve a better response than a meme.

https://i.imgur.com/dhDgSu2.png

That meme is free for anybody to use in the future. I'm sure it will come in handy time and again.

Edit: TS is probably furiously creating his own supermeme right now that will not only destroy me but all libs as well.

No, my counter argument with sources was my counter argument. I went to bed, that's how concerned I am with your verbal fecal/vomit combo.

I have to say - you do look a bit concerned in that photo.

I am looking forward to Flying Hellfish not taking action on your off topic retardation and posting about it in the log of his related behaviors. I make use of you no matter what angle you take Nutilduhhh.

Dear Diary,

Today the internet was mean to me again. I told them to cut it out but they just wouldn't! Donald Trump is the best president ever. He also did nothing wrong and its just not fair that people don't want to accept these two very important facts. This forum is a place for RATIONAL DISCUSSION about IMPORTANT THINGS like whether or not space is fake, how George Soros is a reptilian, and how to survive the impending apocalypse. Its not my fault my debating prowess is so extraordinary that people cower at the thought of having to take me head on and resort to posting childish memes. I myself would never do such a thing. I did not ask to be born with these powers!!

Apparently everyone else is allowed to joke around and post memes in Politics & Society, except myself and anyone Flying Hellfish doesn't agree with. Especially when it is mocking one of his ideologically aligned pals.

Zerohedge just publish an article containing data and facts from other credible sources, if the Wuhan Coronavirus is a bio-weapon or not is all conspiracy till proven.
But there are news that infected have been treated with HIV retrovirus medication.

Bingo.  I don't even have to bother to reply to Twitchy.  All the info they collated was in the public domain.  Someone just found it and wrote a very pertinent article about it.  Yes, written in ZH style which seems to be what really gets under certain people's skin (for bizarre reasons which we can only speculate about.)

I find the "ZH style" to be:
- dishonest
- inflammatory
- non-factual
- catering to an extremely selective audience and serving to profit from the reinforcement of their beliefs

Anyone who rules out biological engineering is deliberately blind and totally ignorant of the science of the last 30 or 40 years.  And ignorant of the current state of the analysis of 2019-nCoV at this time as well.

I'm not ruling it out but I'm saying it is highly unlikely. Coming from a biology background I require proof of these sorts of assertions, which is why I know for certain that ZH's articles on the subject are bumpkiss.

Its like, didn't you guys even read the tweet that I posted that was later included in the article which undermined the premise of their entire fucking article? In so many words, they admitted they wrote a hacky, baseless story. Yet you guys keep believing it to be true. Why? What's in it for you other than you don't have to admit you believed a falsehood?

If ZH made anything up about the BF guy in order to do their rebuttal the 'victim' has got a slam-dunk lawsuit, and nobody can tell me that BF doesn't have the funding to retain a few lawyers.  In today's climate they could almost certainly win a claim against ZH no matter what the details and who is guilty I would guess, but we've still got that pesky discovery thing and there are still independent contents outlets that won't necessarily cover up the damage.  For now.

After stumbling across a certain amount of BF content over the years, and trying to heal my bleeding eyes because of it, I have no trouble at all believing that the writer wants to be 'the Andy Warhol of hebephilia' or whatever it is that he is supposed to have written.  In fact I bet that half of the writers for that rag would like the same thing.  Until I see the guy prove that it is a malicious fabrication I'll assume it is probably true.

What does any of this have to do with the fact that this journalist exposed ZH for what they truly are? This was genuinely the first BF article I ever consciously read or remember reading. I don't give a shit about them. But because you do, it gives ZH credibility in their cowardly takedown of this journalist? Calling a journalist critical of one of your articles a pedophile instead of debunking their points is a logical response to you?

This entire section of the forum should be nuked from existence. Its an absolute cesspit of stupidity, weakness and ignorance. I've wasted entirely too much time here.

[imagines this entire tirade with a German accent and burning books in the background]

On topic:

And you all turn your backs and look busy doing other things.

This kind of behavior is why people like Vod will be forever free to rampage across this community free of repercussion, and why people like me will never go away. Here I am making my appeal to the community to enforce its supposed standards, but those are only for special people right? The people we don't like they can just be clearly and openly abused using the tools of this system. I don't ever want to see any one of you crying about how much conflict there is around here ever again, because you do nothing to stop it.

I guess we just skip the step now where anyone even challenges Vod and he hides away for a week or two feigning remorse for what he has done and everyone share stories about how valuable of a member he is, so him abusing the system like this can be overlooked, infinite times.

TECSHARE has been getting abused for over 5 years now and you all are just turning your backs to look busy doing other things!

I hope this puppy gif makes you feel better, TECSHARE.

Mormons are Christian.  It's common among many different types of Christianity (and religions in general) for the youth to go on a mission to help the less fortunate and spread whatever religion they are.

If that is the case, then socialists are communists. It is common for many types of unemployed hipsters to go on a mission on instagram to talk about helping the less fortunate, whatever political religion they are.

What a surprise, another thread upsetting the forum Stasi, another flood of reports of my posts, another excuse for Flyinghellfish and the reporting toadies to enforce their political bias get retribution. This forum is really degrading fast Theymos. Might be time for you to grow a spine and make some tough choices. The people you keep giving second, third, fourth, fifth, chances to are just saying fuck you I will do what I want because you refuse to impose repercussions on them.

As you can see they are all very much on topic, but of course very upsetting to certain people with leftist leanings, and the openly Communist FlyingHellfish is happy to oblige to silence speech that makes his preferred political party look bad.

As Flying Hellfish removes very on topic posts of my own, in my own thread, reports of off topic posts are marked bad:

3. All the deaths, quarantines and, city lock-downs in China are simply the CCP dealing with low scores in their new social credit system and prepping for the invasion.

Do you mean China's invasion of Australia?

The two countries are tied at the hip - Australia pulling coal out and shipping it to China to be used.  Maybe China doesn't want to pay Australia profit anymore?  Just wait a few years until the US economy fails due to climate change, and invade.  I'm sure the Australian people would prefer an ally/leader that is geographically close to them anyway.

Another example... Jokes are fine, as long as it is a joke he likes...

I've had this deleted along with some other posts so will re post without comment this time so I cannot be accused of infringing terms and conditions and not complying with posting rules. If it is deleted again it means someone is performing censorship or moderating with a personal bias  Wink Wink

I received messages that 3 of my comments on this thread were deleted.  Upon review, they are all factual information. So the bias is apparent, facts don't matter. 2 decades of actual experience in this subject don't matter.

No reason to post truths here anymore.  Y'all have fun.

One more aspect to consider.

If police did not stop this dangerous felon immediately..... and he used that taser to carjack someone in the parking lot, and drove off in their car, while drunk, crashed and killed someone else.

Who's fault would that be. The officer would be charged complicit to murder and fired, for the death of the innocent person killed by the fleeing felon.
Who's live is more important? The violent criminal? Or an innocent bystander?

Quick, you have about 3 seconds to answer that, evaluate the risk and possibility, all while fighting for your life.

They are damned if they do, damned if they don't.

Resisting arrest is a felony.   Assaulting cops is a felony.  Disarming an Officer is a felony. Stealing an officer's taser is a felony. Pointing the stolen taser at an officer is a felony. Firing a taser at an Officer is a felony.
Assaulting officers is violence.  The fleeing felon has demonstrated he is quite capable of being a deadly threat to others.

None of this is grounds for a death sentence. You can make the argument that he was potentially a "deadly threat" to others - the courts may see it otherwise. Regardless, running away with a discharged taser is not a justifiable reason to be executed.

It really shouldn't matter what the law says cops can and can't get away with -- they should know better at this point in time that just because you can do something, it doesn't mean you should do it.
The "rules of engagement" specify when and how they should use deadly force. Simple as that, although there may be gray areas. These rules vary tremendously by state.

The problem is some people choose feelings over facts.  They get emotionally triggered by the appearance of something, and are ignorant to the application of law.
Then add the invention of the internet and social media, and you have a whole new generation who can spout their ignorant position with the same exposure as someone with knowledge.

OK, that's a great example of the law needing to be changed because it was fucked. Just because something is or isn't a law doesn't make it right.

Not the same circumstances as Brooks didn't tase the officer, and the officer didn't have backup.

1. So, if you think a law needs changed, vote for the people who will change it. The Police will follow suit, and enforce and abide by the new law. Your kind is literally shooting the messenger and burning down buildings of the innocent because you don't like the rules  That doesn't change the law. You all act like a bunch of entitled little kids.

2. Correct, not exactly the same, there is only ONE difference; in the linked Texas story, the criminal successfully made Taser contact with the officer before being killed. In Atlanta, the criminal missed.  Now, a reasonable person would research if that makes a difference in the reaction and force allowed by Police. You've proven yourself unreasonable, so I'll make it easy for you.  Police, and the public in most states, have no duty to "take the first bullet" in any assault, whether physical, less-lethal, or lethal, before responding with appropriate force to the situation they're presented with.  And that situation will be judged in accordance with Graham v Conner.
