Because bitcoin is a stronger and more reliable coin. Buying altcoins has now become dangerous. If you do not have the proper knowledge, you can lose money by investing in altcoins. I think if a person has a lot of money he does not need to bother about other crypto. Enough investment in bitcoin.

He is smart, he knows that most of the currencies out there are junk so no need for a busy man to waste time on figuring out which ones are good and which are worthless. Us normal people have time to research and invest in ethereum, litecoin, and more
If he was clever, he would diversify this investment to other altcoins ("Do not put all eggs in one basket."). Bitcoin will certainly be a king for a long time in this market, but other altcoins also have great potential. We could see this yesterday watching a rapid increase in the Litecoin price.

I say it's no coincidence that a highly successful engineer only holds Bitcoin and not any other crypto, he most likely understands that Bitcoin is a highly robust software, while alts are just snake oil cashgrabs. And it's nice to see that he tried Lightning Network, even many veteran members of Bitcoin community haven't tried it yet.

Maybe he think bitcoin is safe investment. Because risk in altcoin is bigger especially if BTC dumped again, altcoin can followed it. At least that is what i think when i not invest in altcoin. Only BTC and altcoin that i pick only ETH.

Holding bitcoins is good but i don't think that Jack publicity of his owned bitcoin can help to push up the bitcoind market value. It will be good if Jack can influence and attract people all over the world to keep bitcoin and patronize it to help the demand increase together it's value.

I don't want to reveal what I own, but still this post reminds me that I should have most of my portfolio in Bitcoin and not in an altcoin. Still a solid altcoin with big potential will most probably overpass Bitcoin in terms of gains when we enter the bull market so you guys might wanna take that into account.

And it's nice to see that he tried Lightning Network, even many veteran members of Bitcoin community haven't tried it yet Bitcoin is good for long-term holding (compared to altcoins, obviously) But that doesn't mean we should not use altcoins as we should understand that Jack is not a speculator (read, he doesn't spend all his time looking at the charts). So while his opinion matters a lot, we should nevertheless take into account that it is not universally applicable. In this way, if you are a trader, discarding the profit potential of altcoins (whether the profits come through shorts or longs) doesn't seem like a very wise idea

I understand that Jack has four million followers on Twitter, so it should have big influence on people. What effect that could have on the market is questionable but surely is a good advertisement for bitcoin. In my opinion, it should be more safe to invest in Bitcoin than in any altcoin. It is the strongest one, the coin with greatest support of the community. They all can collapse in the future but looking from this position, alts have more chances for that than bitcoin.

They all can collapse in the future but looking from this position, alts have more chances for that than bitcoin And this is what I'm telling folks here A bear market is a good time to reshuffle your portfolio as everything goes downhill including worthy assets. Besides, this market reveals it quite conspicuously which assets are good ones and which are not so good. We see that Bitcoin is still the reining king of cryptocurrencies and no altcoin comes close to dethrone it (Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, or any other altcoin or shitcoin) On the other hand, Litecoin, for example, has clearly shown that it is definitely not going to kick the bucket any time soon and end up as many other Bitcoin competitors. In this manner, the winners in this "race for survival" are easy to spot and choose from. So what are you waiting for?

Jack is holding the right coin cause bitcoin as the mother coin still remains the most profitable coin to hold, for me personally I hold bitcoin and some other tokens but my most credible among all is bitcoin.

It's true I'm holding two coins now this time BTC and BCH.But Bitcoin I've been holding a long time ago when its value was $8000.in fact I'm still focusing more on Bitcoin. Forget it bitcoin prices will increase at any time.So in my opinion Jack has taken a good step.so it can give us more benefits with the future.

He ironically had a pretty good podcast with Joe Rogan all about this topic. It's worth the listen if you have the spare time. I think about 30 minutes in it starts focusing on bitcoin/crypto twitter. <http://podcasts.joerogan.net/podcasts/jack-dorsey> It got me a little excited as i've been following the square/bitcoin stuff for quite awhile now.

It's not clear what you mean, because many people have Bitcoin but they do not want to disclose that they have Bitcoin to say more about it, but you do not have to say anything more about it, but if you want to give an important message then mention it.

Well first of all congrads to the founder of Tweeter to give BTC a endorsement like this. I am not sure how honest this man is since I do not know him personally but maybe he is just a BTC shill. How do we know he does not have other coins? I thought it is that if you have a lot of money you own more then just BTC.

This is not not new, Jack Dorsey is known as a supporter or advocate of Bitcoin and recently he's been consistently saying good things about it. But I'm just wondering, what if Bitcoin started a bull run again and he made huge profit from it, would he still be saying this things about Bitcoin or he will be just like other influenced people that used their popularity and spread good things about Bitcoin (which is a good thing lol) to earn huge profit from cryptocurrency then started saying bad things about it after earning millions of dollars from it and benefit from it, then started to buy again when investors got scared of FUD they spread. I would like to see an influenced person that really believes on the technology not just another one that wants to make money from it.

So, Jack is involved in bitcoin like a forever supporter! I did not know about it, because a couple of months ago, Twitter wanted to ban crypto ads and a lot of crypto supporting twitter accounts got suspended! So, I thought Jack doesn't like cryptocurrency! In that tweet, Ales Gladstein quote a tweet where he wrote, " Bitcoin also matters for freedom and human rights " the tweet link is here, https://twitter.com/gladstein/status/1092965942626156545So, by a single tweet from them, many people will join in the crypto industry! And, We need more famous people in crypto to make crypto familiar with everyone.

Do people really think this tweet will start the next bull run? Its been a positive week so far so maybe there is a correlation between the tweet and bull run we are in.

Maybe he hasn't discovered or never gives time to study how other coins are working and if you are really into cryptocurrency you should at least a holder of the top 3 coins in the market, I'm surprised he is not compiling a portfolio of good coins if he is really a cryptocurrency investor

I'm just hoping this isn't yet another one of those times where some celebrity says something positive about Bitcoin and everyone makes a big deal out of it, because they think it'll help with price/adoption/whatever. Then the celebrity says/does something stupid and everyone suddenly pretends it was never a big deal and moves onto the next celebrity who said something positive.
