That's right, but also it is possible to introduce a system in which the more a participant has earned Merit, the greater the increase in their share, in %, will be received.
I think this motivation is quite capable of attracting quality participants to the company.

The idea is interesting. This would encourage people to write quality posts and possibly further reduce the amount of spam in this forum. But on the other hand, capitalize merit quite difficult and it can result in a new wave of sales merit and will give the opportunity to influential accounts to capitalize on this. Merit as gratitude for useful information will almost never be applied.

Such a system should clearly motivate to write better posts that could be appreciated!

To partly avoid the situation bounty reward could be paid not for the count of merit points but for how many different users merited the message.
For example
1 user merited the message - 1 stake
2 users merited the message - 3 stakes
3 users merited the message - 8 stakes
5 users merited the message - 25 stakes
So it's not matter how many merit points you get from a single users

BTC   Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System   BTC
A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a financial institution. Digital signatures provide part of the solution, but the main benefits are lost if a trusted third party is still required to prevent double-spending. We propose a solution to the double-spending problem using a peer-to-peer network. The network timestamps transactions by hashing them into an ongoing chain of hash-based proof-of-work, forming a record that cannot be changed without redoing the proof-of-work. The longest chain not only serves as proof of the sequence of events witnessed, but proof that it came from the largest pool of CPU power. As long as a majority of CPU power is controlled by nodes that are not cooperating to attack the network, they'll generate the longest chain and outpace attackers. The network itself requires minimal structure. Messages are broadcast on a best effort basis, and nodes can leave and rejoin the network at will, accepting the longest proof-of-work chain as proof of what happened while they were gone.

Monitoring messages with merits is an additional work to the bounty team and most of them do not want that. Besides, the goal the project thru signature campaign and having merit/s does not add to the visibility of the post.

So far, I've only seen one campaign rewards post/comment with merit/s.

Could you post a link to the campaign?
It's very interesting to know some experience in that field.

Here I can't agree with you. The message with merit point captures enough attention. It'd like to read this message

I think almost of bounty manager/community won't do that (manual check).

As far from I know, bounty manager will add some bonus stake to participants who have been getting some merit points. They do not add additional stake by merited post/message

Well lets look to the user (the choise is random. I don't know that user and use the data just as an example)
And look to the merit stats
You do not need to check all posts manually. I don't think that bounty managers manually check posts for character limit. They use scripts. I hope. Otherwise it's a wasting of time.

So by using regular expressions you collect last week message data to the table and analyse that. All information about user's merit points are here.
And if the same message was merited by several users it also can be checked automatically.

It looks great, but as you may note, merit system follows a highly relative distribution (ie, you may find a high quality post without any merit points , while a less quality written post may gain merit ) which can lead to an inequality in term of both ranking memberships & bounty bonuses
But in general, that would be appreciated if bounty & sig campaign managers use it .

More than a year ago Merit System was integrated to Bitcointalk forum to make forum messages more informative and quality (or should make it)
That is the question\idea: Why Bounty campaign starters/managers don't use that?
For example it would be an additional bonus for Signature Bounty participants if their message will be merited. It will confirm (in ideal) that the message will be detaily read and estimated and signature will be noticed for sure.
Low merit can already prevent you from upgrading to Jr Member, Member, Sr Member, etc. So bounty programs ARE already using it, just not directly.
As for your post getting merited - that's an amazing idea, and great advertisement for the project you're wearing the signature of.
I have already proposed this to a bounty manager I know in real life, future bounty programs might use it Smiley

Actually, what you're talking about is a pretty good idea, but bounty managers are not sources of merit, they have no additional reserve that they could spend. The only thing they have - the same amount of Merit as have all other forum participants. And this is not enough for this.

I think it is a good idea. I have seen several bounty campaigns with such conditions. Unfortunately, I could not participate in them. I think in the future there will be much more such bounty campaigns.

A really good idea!!
Unfortunately, I've never seen a bounty campaign involving Merit in the past.
This would probably be a motivation for people to write more meaningful posts.

That idea will help a lot of accounts holders to give their best to the forum and also to members on the forum.
We need an avenue where we can learn and not where shit posts are made.
I have seen quite some good number of posts that have made great deal of contributions on the forum

Okay, that's a good method and maybe can be applied to manage bounty. But, how about high-quality posts was didn't get single merit out there?

Because the campaign managers are only checking the number of posts that a participant made and number of characters instead of the quality of it that contributed the OP, that's good point by the way. Some Managers in Signature campaigns are handling a lot of participants and checking one by one of their post would cost a lot of time and effort so it's so sad that the merit system is not working with this.

Quite a great suggestion but after all, we rely that on the bounty campaign manager rights whether s/he will accept or not.

Some of managers use this kind of encouragement. In some signatures you can't get access without merit.
Moreover you can get more stakes in signature for more merits

This idea is very difficult to implement in practice. Because it is not clear when a post will receive merits, maybe it will not receive any merit during the campaign, but it may receive merit after the campaign. What happens in this case?

Merit is a very valuable resource on the forum and no one is in a hurry to reward other participants, because its number is limited. If the bounty managers encouraged all worthy messages , they would just not enough for this merit.
