If you are not careful gambling can consume much of your time brainpower and money.
There are so many online casinos to play at and with all of these playoffs occurring in EPL, NBA and NHL there is tons of games to wager on.
It is not a good idea to go into a gambling mood without eating.  I find myself to be making irrational wagers when i am hungry.

Sports gambling is not a king of game that will consume much time for a gambler, however the amount risk at this kind of game is bigger compared to other forms of gambling in the internet. One can bet over $1,000 for every game or bet, and that's huge enough and you can be addicted especially if that amount is not anymore within your range, or you chase your loses.

Gambling losing streak,

I’m into gambling for about months now, and in my first game I was able to generate profit enough to be happy, I continued for the rest of my 4 weeks of playing, sometimes its breakeven but I know its ok.

My friend invited me to play with him in casino this time, I have enough money to play for so I decided to say yes. Bad luck comes to me this time, at first my loss was about $500, so I know it is still fine and decided to continue, but the moment we stopped I think its too late now since I’ve already loss $3000, a very bad day for me. I’ve lost the money I’ve worked hard for.

This is an eye opener situation for me, and I’ve realized that gambling was slowly eating my brain and my money. Now I’m broke but still kickin, this can be the proof that chasing your losses is not good at all and it should be avoided. Have the same experience with me? Don’t hesitate to share and give some thoughts for those who are suffering from sitution like this.  Sad

The untoward incident as you said that was really bad day for you. Also you have taken a big risk about $3000 on one day. Then definitely you have big loss in a day. But if you use your brain and stop gambling on right time, when you have only loss $500 then may be you could save you from big loss. Actually sometime our greediness wise we have loss our all money in gambling, But perhaps you are right, gambling have more power than us, it can eat our brain and money easily, but if we control ourself then may be we could save ourself from this loss.

Many people think that gambling is a way to make quick money, but that's not the case. When i started gambling, i was quite happy, as i won a few round and make some quick money, but as the time passed I just lost all my funds.
I am one of those people who strongly believe gambling as a place to make money. If I am not doing it with the aim of making money, why then am I now playing? I am not disputing the fact that the game is interesting and can as well be entertaining, but the goal of playing is always to make money.

Most of you all that always blame people not to see gambling as an avenue to make money are not always been sincerely to yourselves. You incautiously play for money but you are not aware and that is the reason you feel sad whenever you make loses. If you actually play for fun alone, then you wouldn’t feel bad when you lose.
Keep believing gambling as a place of income and you will come out of your nightmare the day you loose an amount that will take you months to recover from the hurt. Gambling is meant to be an entertainment and if you trace down to the history of gambling you will realize that people who played then did it more for fun.

I am not disputing that you cannot make money from gambling but don’t let your mind see it as a place for money, otherwise you get thorough hurt the day you loose and that mindset can make you commit big money because you want something big in return. Just be wise
Maybe a lot of people will agree with you. We not means if gambling is something that make money. But if someone already think gambling is be something that can be income source, he will end with bad.
I don't think so, actually I think that besides being entertaining, I hope for win and profit too in gambling. which means, I hope gambling is my income also, but in reality gambling does not make nightmare to me, I draw the conclusion that there is nothing wrong with your purpose to gambling, the important thing is you know the limits and controls
Gambling as your income source is something making yourself foolish, you can never get success if your purpose is to make money. If you are investing your money in a source, the source should be responsive and there should be less or no chances to lose your money. Gambling is ways either lose all your money or win it. So, it a very good place for enjoyment, fun & entertainment and brain practice as well. In contrast, it is yes, eating your brain and money.

I understand and i somewhat experience this situation and now i tend to stay away from casino because i dont have self-control. I learned to accept losses because chasing it will only lead me to more losses which will sink into me when i spent all my money.

Good to know that you know this and you have decided to quit gambling. You can develop the skills and self control and then again resume the gambling. Gambling will surely eat your money and make you sad if you do not play sensibly.

Yes, we have to gamble it wisely otherwise surely it will damage our money, even though we gamble it perfectly everything will hurt us a lot in some cases. Some times due to loos in gambling makes us more headache about gambling and for that, we have to refresh our mind by gambling free games.
The statement is correct after facing with some certain lose in gambling that is exactly resulting in eating your brain as well as your money. This factor does work for all the gamblers as they know that they will either win or lose a specific game. No one will realize it before facing with any lose in gambling for the first time they are doing so. Refreshing your mind with free games is what it means, it is mainly for fun.

Some say that playing without taking meals makes you more productive but in long term, you are  slowly dying. This is too much, don't chase any losses and sacrifice yourself just to achieve it. Gambling can eat your brain if you play not good, don't blame gambling for being like that because you are the one who made it try to play without greed.

Gambling should not make you depressed, is the main function is to make your mind happy and refresh isnt it? not make your mind more dizzy. the point is don't use your saving money to gamble, use special money to gamble, so even though losing it won't stress you out

I do gamblings too but not that heavy. I think the most right skill on gambling isnt the luck but the self control. If you have self control you can cut your loose. Same as not being greedy for winnings. You must learn how to control your emotions. Gambling is not about always winning we all know that but everytime we lose on a bet we have to think twice if were still going to roll the bank or just rest for awhile then come back when your mind is more calm or just cut the lose. Dont let your emotions run to your system while your playing. You have to be calm. Set a goal when gambling. If you can surpass the goal then good. But if you think not, better to take rest.

This is what happens to first-time gamblers who do not set a goal when to stop and how much money is he willing to invest or gamble if you failed to set that goal, you will end up miserable because you will try to catch all your losses and this is the only motivation that you had without thinking that you are losing a lot.

Every time a new user gets into gambling all that he have in mind is win big money out of gambling. Upon the same he could've begun to spend big money on gambling. When he experience loss through gambling, the mind won't accept it. To overcome the same user will tend to recover betting big amount and this continued process in most cases leads to addiction.

I am sure that there are people who treat gambling seriously and they use gambling game as their source to make money. Some of them can win but the other is losing money, and they should decide to stay away from gambling if they don't want to lose the money. When you are losing money in many times, you can become stressful, and that will make you frustrated, and that means, gambling will eat your brain and money indirectly.

Gambling is not only eating your brain and money but it also eats your time. And I think that this is the most important factor that gamblers should considered.
I realized that I had spent a lot of time that would be useful for doing other things that would give me the possibility of acquiring and gaining knowledge.

If we are playing gamble to earn accumulate wealth, then we have to take the risk on spending time and money, because it will delegate a way to become aggressive on striving hard to pursue winning at our luck. Fortunately, with the help of our  knowledge and experiences we can create sensible strategy to defend our game. And I think it is about a wiseful deliberation to conquest the consequences on gambling.

I had been a great gambler as I used to be a Tennis player myself till I met with an injury which destroyed me completely. It may sound stupid but when I was playing the game myself, my predictions were next to great and I was able to fetch all the information lied behind the scenes and win over and over again but after I stopped playing (due to my knee surgery), I didn't win a single bet (this is what may sound stupid here but truth) and had big continuous losses which made me lose my entire life savings in it. I never went behind my losses to be recovered, I just made bets and lost them one by one, no martingale strategy, nothing. It is not a good idea to go all in with all the money you have saved in your life as it may become a life threatening experience for you when you watch them going and getting added to the gambling website's house edge bankroll.
I am sorry about your injury, surgery and loses mate. It’s just so unfortunate that you made this huge loss, losing all life’s savings isn’t something funny at all. So many questions running through my mind right now, Like how did it happen, what strategy did you use in playing and what kind of game could that be. I truly feel your pain.

I am surprised you didn’t use martingale strategy, I always thought those who lose everything in gambling are the ones who keep double betting but since you say you didn’t use that, I feel you should have stopped when you saw it wasn’t favorable to you. Maybe gambling luck was just no longer on your side.

This is why it's really not good to always chase your losses. If you can't stay away from gambling, at least employ some sort of bankroll management system, like alloting just 3% of your monthly allowance to betting and never spending more than that in casinos within the month.

If you look up the internet about the worth of gambling industry and the top gamblers of the world, you would realize how instrumental gambling could be in making you one among the richest gamblers. There are people who have made names in gambling and have made billions so it is not that you will loose everything in gambling. Things could also be the other way around. However to be on the safe side, I agree with you over the precautions you have mentioned.

You are right in that no one should spend most of his/her free time on gambling. There are other things worthy of being engaged with, including studying. However, people that use gambling for recreational purposes can't abandon it completely. For some people it's the best way of relaxing, and they can do their main jobs better, and they can study better after spending some time gambling. Maybe it's a risky way of relaxing, but so are bungee jumping, rock climbing, skydiving and many others, not to mention drinking alcohol beverages and taking drugs.

People can't live without relaxation, but they should make sure that those activities are not eating their brain and money, not harming their health and are not hazardous to their lives.

Sad
Lol,  your story is quite funny, it’s not good to be addicted to gambling. If you’re addicted To gambling you’re likely going to end up a loser. Just learn to control yourself and bet wisely.  You shouldn’t bet everything you have in your pocket,  there are bad days,  and when days like this happens, you just have to stop betting immediately and wait for another day, cause chasing the loss just like you have said will lead to further losses. I know some people that are addicted to gambling (not as friends) and I can tell you it’s a really bad thing cause it leads them to doing things they are not supposed to do.

Addiction is not good for anything if you are addicting of anything you will want all the time best from it so in some cases it goes good for us but sometimes it can be wrong for us, we should not put any stress about gambling to our mind just enjoy it and play for your benefit so you will feel good with gambling.

Gambling is not only eating your brain and money but it also eats your time. And I think that this is the most important factor that gamblers should considered.
I realized that I had spent a lot of time that would be useful for doing other things that would give me the possibility of acquiring and gaining knowledge.

I don’t think so I think it is much better to spend your time in gambling more than spending in other activities, those people who don’t gamble more they think about some bad activities so better spend your time in gambling it makes our mind useful and sharp, when you gamble we use our mind to get the idea of the opponent so this way we are polishing our skills of gambling.
