ICO in its journey is considered as one solution, for the complexity of requirements in the financial industry in order to obtain funding.
Strict regulations, overly wordy rules of the game, make many companies then see ICO as the ultimate path.
in terms of industry, in the field of technology, ICO might be the most important thing for new entrepreneurs who want to join in crypto to introduce their projects. but unfortunately many people take advantage of this because there are not many permits in place, so investors must be smart before joining in because if one does one step then the loss will be closer

I feel the same way about MLM marketing schemes in real life, you get bombarded with endless marketing for useless products.  Luckily most ICOs are dying down because IEO looks to much a much better investment at this point.

Investors are not interested in the idea that the ICO project is developing because they care about profit. Very few investors read and find whitelist because they know that this is not beneficial to them. Investors are only interested in the attraction of the project to other investors because this creates the success of an ICO project.

indeed ICO does not guarantee a project to be better,
let alone ICO, the projects in the IEO are not necessarily good, maybe it is good because they have been listed in the exchange.
but for usecase and development? this is still questionable.
and it is true, even projects that do not rely on ICO or no premine are usually serious projects and have a good future.
I don't think that IEO it's about technology, more like a hype. Everyone wants easy money, for this they have created. In this I fully support you, there are a lot of projects whose teams are working hard.

Many people do not need investments and they are not satisfied with ISO. Someone sells their tokens as shares in the LLC. ISO exists meaning there is a result of it.

No funds no project idea makes me sick and tired of ICO ,I never like the idea right from the beginning ,why? Well to me if you are the owner of your business or company and you have struggled a lot to build it you won't dare want to let go or see it crumbled and fail, this is not present in ICO cases ,ICO is just like "oh if not much funds then I will back off and reopen another project maybe we can reach the hard cap" ,well if every developers are the ones funding there projects they will be more serious to make it a successful one,the easy safe path of backing out if hardcap is never achieved makes it feel easy for every one especially the scammers, I'm not been heartless ,if you don't have money to fund your project just don't bother ,many coins out there have no ICO ,no premine ,no bullshit with fine price per coin ,they never want any funds ,coins like masari ,Loki, haven project, dero rely on nobody fund yet they perform better than hundreds of ICO.
yeah you are right but it's the reality, no money/funds then no project. to do a project you need funds, that's why they need investors to funds their project. i'm not sure is a project can still run even without funds? it seems impossible, i mean no one will develop a project freely. the teams also need money to run the project and for their life too.

What? Do you really think ICOs are just scams, when you don't even know what is the purpose of ICO?  That is stupid, thanks to ICOs we can have more diversity in this crypto market and attract more investors into cryptos, without ICOs we can never seen these top altcoins in coinmarketcap, you maybe don't like ICOs because its is crypto and risky, then that is fine, because ICOs are still very young and need more time to be perfect but the fact that it does bring profits to investors and traders, so investing in ICOs or not is people's choice.

One thing I do like about the ICOS setup for funding businesses is that it allows the easy entry into this kind of investment market for the micro-investors and people who before would never have access to venture capital or angel investment financial markets. I think this is the positive side of it. The negative side is that by using smart contracts and tokenizing projects, many ICOS can easily run off with the investments made by well-intentioned people and also not bother to put the tokens they issue on good exchanges to be traded, thus rendering the investments made useless. So it is like a double edged sword at the moment, investing in ICOS. You really need to do your homework before you enter in this kind of high-risk investment sector.

Investment in ICO is more risk than investment in old good project as there is chance of scam or totally flop in ICO, so always join the ICO which has great partnership and real company with huge potential.

ICOs have lost their charm in 2019. They were a trend in 2017 or until 2018. Right now, it is all about STO. Also, there is no doubt that ICO owners need to be more explicit about their idea and product, and should only focus on funding. Also, ICOs are now taking place with the proper minimum viable product(MVP) rather than just publishing an idea and whitepaper.

It is clear to those who have long invested in Cryptocurrency that in 2019 ICO is less productive and only gives promises and good vision but others are only fraudulent.
Every ICO has good quality, only problem is they are not good at working with hunters. I think this has become part of our risk and is enough to make more cautious in the future.

Your conclusion can't be taken as a fact. Either bear or bull market, the industry must not be stagnant and if any team have the courage to launch their project in bear market that does not mean it is scam because I see many projects that successfully raised their hardcap even in bear market and they're still doing well up till now.

In my own opinion, the idea of projects with ICO is of no interest to me, this is because majority of these projects most times fail to meet up with the expectations of their investors. I have participated in a project before that failed to reach its ICO and thus was cancelled. Although, I participated as a bounty hunter but I felt highly disappointed because of the precious time I allocated to the project..I take more interest in projects without ICO because I know such project team members will be committed to meeting up with the expectations of their participants. At times as well, I prefer investing into coins that have already being listed on exchanges after their  ICO because with that, I have no fear of loss since the ICO has already  been reached before listing.

As investor who wants to invest into cryptocurrencies and new crypto projects, before you join any ICO project to invest, you should do an intensive research and study about the basic risks involved in investing in ICOs. This will serve as the baseline to help you know the types of ICO projects to invest in. If you fail to do this research and studies, You might lose your money and ICOs will definitely make you sick. Studying a crypto project for some time helps you to identify scam ICO projects easily which will also help you avoid investing in them..

ICO was a cool way for any project to fundraise money and as an investor you could earn a lot of money if investing in right projects. At the moment, ICO format is rare to be used.

This quote realos reflecting the hardship and frustration of investor. The ico market realy need to muy some harsh regulation on themselves otherwise new idea will not get funded even its worthful. Por whole crypto ecosystem you need to take some legal action against fraudlent activities

Stop to suffer of failed investments and scam ICO. Change your attitude to that problem. The team has an idea, but there are not enough funds to implement. Sponsorship and maecenased always had and takes place in our life. Invest in the project as much as it's not a pity to lose.

From the early beginning of the ICOs there were a lot of scams without any real idea or prototype. We can't avoid such scams. Just need to be careful in investing
