Coming to market unpreparepd is one thing, gambling is the other thing.
I mean, second thing is curable, for first thing you just need patience. Either bitcoin will be worth $0 or you will regain your money in time so worry not.
Dont try to get your losses back through gambling, its not possible.

That's a lot for me too since I am not based in developed country but somewhere in Asia where earnings and standard of living is lower compared to many rich countries. I sympathize with the things you experienced here in the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency sphere and I am sure that slowly you can recover because you already learned the many big lessons in dealing with this exciting but very volatile marketplace. I am sure that the future belongs to Bitcoin but the road to get there is not always paved and can be rough and tough at times...we just have to get the clear vision and the right strategies to get there. I don't suggest you to do gambling. And I also don't love gambling because of high risk. If you lose in bitcoin for selling fast then you should wait for again fall of bitcoin. Anytime it can go your buying zone again. So be cool and keep patience.
Don't be greedy for recovering lose in quickly. So give a time for thinking to your brain before buying any coin. Don't take a decision quickly without any investigation. Keep in mind that the more you be cool the more you earn in trading. Thanks

Ok, you mentioned 2 things - Trading losses and Gambling. Now, we can have sympathy for the trading losses, because the price dropped with more than 80% and nobody has control over that, but the gambling losses has nothing to do with the technology and the price of bitcoins.

The gambling losses are on you, not the technology.     I sincerely hope that the price would recover to give other people the opportunity to make some profits, like most of us had done in 2017.

this is your main problem. you entered a market and you have no idea what is going on. you think bitcoin is a pump and dump so you are confused about the movements in either direction and then act irrationally and the result is losing money.

sorry to tell you this but you didn't lose money in trading. you lost all of it in gambling. what you think you are doing is not "trading" otherwise you wouldn't have started this topic.

my suggestion is to stop thinking about your loss and stop being sad about it. instead start looking at your actions that you have taken so far and try to analyze them to see where your mistakes were. that way you can learn from them and become more experienced and stop making them again.

Bitcoin is always hace a chance to rise no matter what. Bitcoin price spikes last year so this is the right time. Someone posted before that on 2019 Bitcoin will rise after experiencing a low price on the last year of 2018 and the beginning of 2019 but between February to September price will rise that's predicted by many people in this community.

Loosing money in every investment will always be loosing and how big or small the amount are is not important. But, the good part is that you dont quit and ready to correct your mistake. However, the most important thing which will determine your success in all crypto investment is knowing the all basic rules and regulation of the investment you want to partake in first.

I will advice you to understand crypto trading and gambling every well because they are easy means of making money and they also easy means of loosing money either.

Don't be too depressed about it because there are also investors who are experiencing what you are experiencing right now. I got some losses to in crypto but since I got some rewards from some campaigns here, it covered my losses.

I don't see any reason why Bitcoin pumped right now. Maybe a little pump and dump?? Anyway, this is a good opportunity to get profit for those short term traders out there. I'm just holding Bitcoin at this moment although I got some funds for trading.

Yesterday we saw pretty fast price rise which was a good opportunity for day traders to make some profit. But today it looks like this is not continuing so we might conclude it was just temporary small pump that we have already seen couple of times recently.
But yet this isn't constant rise and recovery process so let's not be too excited too soon. In the meantime you have to accept that Bitcoin is volatile and that both profit and loss are part of Bitcoin investment.

You just have to HODL. Bitcoin will rise - it is a matter of time only.
I believe as we see lots of other crypto/blockchain projects fail for many reasons, Bitcoin will remain the true digital store of value.
Reasons projects will fail/lose include:
- poor management/governance  -- this also means that the project might be too centralized --   
- poor use cases
- bad architectural decisions that can't be fixed without lots of hard forks
- not really decentralized
- bad incentives / design (poor tokenomics)
- not enough community support
If a crypto/blockchain doesn't get all of these issues right, it will not succeed.

doing better would mean doing day trade, and to do day trade you should have a lot of knowledge of the market and must prepare psychologically

By holding did you make right decision or not, it is your own choice. But, if you lost with holding, why did not you try another way? Maybe you could win twice as much as you lost with short time trade.
You should not include what you lost in Gambling, between them there are huge difference.

Sorry to hear that you have losed money on gambling and trading. I am not fan of gamble and as far as I know it can't be recover if you loss on gamble. About bitcoin investment you need strong heart. Weak heart can't gain easily. You can see bitcoin records somehow and someday it would be recovered. Same as other coin also because all altcoins follow  bitcoin's trends. That's why you need patience, without patience you will not able to gain on crypto-currency especially on trading.

Yes it's seems bitcoin price raising very well recently. I think its happen due to few positive news around markets.  However we expect that we can see few major move within few months if in case approved ETF. But ETF is very confused word.

Don't be just so excited yet, it could drop back any time soon probably by Thursday since it's just a minor price rise. There  seems to be a major resistance at 4K. You should start getting excited when it goes 5K and above.

I wouldn't want to get into a debate on speculation of the price of bitcoin. Most people who make predictions about price are usually wrong a lot of the time. Nobody can consistently predict where prices will go.

In terms of the OP having made a small lose and being disillusioned that's understandable but it also shows some naivity as regards how crypto, and even investing in general, really works. One should always be prepared for things going down as well as up.

If I were the OP I would not worry to much about the price at any given time. These things tend to be best viewed as part of a long term strategy. Bitcoin might be $4k now but just a few weeks ago was valued at $3.2k, so it's still shown an increase of over 20% in a relatively short space of time.

The main thing is not to get to worked up about short term fluctuations, unless you are a short term/ day trader where the opposite is true. But I don't believe the OP falls into this category.

There's something to say here,holding,trading,investment all of these things are now up to you.If you buy bitcoin with a higher price,so you can hold now.because we do not want loss our money anytime.Can not always be expected of profits and must have to be vulnerable to take a little punishment.

all there are calculations, we invest bitcoin for sure with a reason. the difference is that we buy it when it's cheap or high. the increase in bitcoin prices at the moment is a good thing, the market is again experiencing a positive injection. I am optimistic this can continue to increase and we will get a good result when we can hold bitcoin.
