Usually, Newbies are trying to spam some mega threads and their posts are nonsense. It's great that you've created a topic that most of the people here must know. I would like to add something about fraud, It is being used for class A persons where they can scam people or hi-jack some income with that precious information. Even here, some of the bounty campaigns, they require KYC where we send our information to receive the payment, that's very dangerous.

The newbie must know something about fraud, don't have a mentality of getting income first than your safety.

we can actually prevent fraud. but the way to prevent it is that everyone cannot find a solution for it all. the problem is that fraud is always there for every one of us. yes, all we can do is be careful when storing a coin and we also need to be active in the crypto world.

Even with the highly security concerned exchanges fail in it, even it's cold storages have got security breaches. Even to this day I get text messages/phone calls from guys trying to sell me sports picks and I never gave them my #.
Your info is also possibly being sold on the dark webs so be careful who you share you info with.

For all the people in sometimes anyone can be mislead you and a fraud will definitely approach to get out your money very easily so be careful and be prevented while investment are choosing a currency which will be very important for yourself to save your money carefully.

good advice, besides that we don't like to open obscure links, and don't respond to someone who might offer a very attractive promo, because it's likely that it's a fraud. I think by always concentrating when doing bitcoin work it is also very necessary, because without concentration we sometimes do stupid things

These days people become victim to frauds because they do not take necessary precautions and also do not follow the basic security measures. We cannot say that hackers and thieves have come more intelligent and they know better on how to hack  our belonging, its basically us who are careless and these evil people take advantage of these loopholes.

Nothing is save on internet. Since our bitcoins and altcoins are also available on internet , they are also subject to risk no matter how hard security we apply. I have seen 2fa and email verification also by passed by the hackers. If you want to save your bitcoins from theft , the best option is to take them offline by storing them in an hardware wallet.

Sometimes you never know some of them are are scammers cause they all cover up pretty well this time around and you may mistakenly give out your info for the sake of KYC without knowing that they are scammers till they show their true color. But like you said, we should all be careful and know what kind of information we give out these days and also be wise and do proper research and also ask questions, because there are things you won't know, so you need to ask questions 'em for those that knows to teach you.

I think one and only way we can all prevent fraud is by being careful ourselves. But if it is to stop fraud, nah that not going to happen. There will always be fraudsters and its always left for us to make use of our sense and avoid them from scamming us, but as usual! Some people will always get scammed.
