So, how do you console yourself?

I first:
I calculated the number of tokens I received, then multiplied by the ICO price, followed by multiplying it by the current ETH price.
As a result, I received the corresponding ETH.
I took the ETH multiplied peak rates ($1500- 2017) And I told myself if ETH peaks (2017), I will get a lot of $. Haha!

For example:
I received 1000 ABC token.
ABC token ico price: 0.2$
Total received: 1000 * 0.2$ = 200$
Current ETH price: 150$
So I will receive: 200/150 = 1.33E
If ETH = $1500 is like 2017, I will have 2000$. )

That is a great way for us to entertain ourselves by counting and assuming if the price can reach the highest price like in 2017. And I personally, when I receive a token, I will sell it when the token is listing in exchange and then the proceeds from the sale will be invested in a coin that I think has great potential.

Well, its normal already because investors want to bag some profit so they are selling their tokens as the token is being listed on exchanges. Even I will sell my bought tokens if it is listed on the exchange because I want to bag some profit and that is what investors do, to get profit that is why they are investing their money.

Many project lost because of the Ethereum price. Usually projects uses the ethereum platform for their coins and sell the coins in ETH or BTC. So we can say that the ETH price went from $1350 to $85 (between 2018 January-2019 January) and that would mean the projects lost like 1/12 value. I think that was the main reason that we all lost.. I used to have greatm ammounts of bounty tokens and i ccould exchanged them with really high price but that was in 2016 and 2017, not anymore..

If I were in your shoes, I would be very much happy to sell my received tokens and will also buy one ethereum right away with that dip price, too. Then the other $50 remaining, I would buy some cheap altcoins that I will trade. If you immediately sell your reward tokens when the price is still high, then it is good. The scenario usually after the ICO sale, price will dump and that will affect your plan if ever.

Bounty budgets are tough, because a lot of factors influence them. And the bear market is probably the biggest one. With time and experience in the field, you will start to get reasonable and accurate expectations.

It would have been a great deal, if the ICO price remains consistent or the value increases after listing, this would make bounty hunting very lucrative. But as it stands, the value drops above 89% after listing, making the tokens worthless. Most bounty hunters are now eternal hodlers of bounty tokens. Its quite unfortunate.

Some people got angry and mad about prices such that they would blame the developer and the team for the failure. The market for new coins is really unpredictable and you don't need to be angry. It must be a part of the things that should or could happen. Accept reality and forget pain and hardship because the moment you decide to promote something, you already know anything could happen.

I don't do that I always treat the coin I received from the bounty or airdrops based on the current market price because that is the realistic value of the coin, but if you have the patient to wait then you can hodl it and sell it at your desired value, but treat the price on it's current price.
