It won't help you either if the rules are changing while the bounty is running, the bounties will get extended normally when the ICO sales are extended so you need to promote it continuously if they have rules like that to get rewards or just skip with the stakes you have earned and find the best bounties if you can.
i think i saw some ico that extend thier token sale but the bounty does not . while other dont extend their token sale but they extend thier bounty campaigns because they only want traffic . they want exposure so that when the coin is listed on an exchange , it can easily gain attraction to potential investors . most bounty that i join before , are have a fix rules which is good because participants wont get confused . those the one that change rules too often are a bit hassle and seems shady . CHanging rules is not a shady thing, they want to get more exposure about their project but what is important it is they are giving enough compensation for doing extra promotion, because on stake based on calculation the user will normally get from the allocated bounty pool no matter of how many weeks they are doing it.

Of course, I agree with this. The participants of the bounty companies are not protected and are very often subjected to fraudulent actions on the part of many projects, and this aspect in most cases depends on the bounty of the company’s manager and its compilation plays an important role.

It is rare for a bounty campaign to complete on time and raise the required funds to meet their softcap requirements. You should simply assume that the date will get extended so don't join at the beginning, join a campaign around the middle of the campaign

Recently, I just had this bad experience with a bounty campaign I joined (Vanta to be specific). They've extended the campaign, added some task, and threatened participants that they'll not get all the bounty rewards if they won't participate. I raised my concerns to the bounty manager and I was quite disappointed with the response.
To all fellow hunters, you may want to ask this questions to your bounty managers before joining a campaign:
1. Bounty campaign extension - Will the team ask for an increase in the bounty pool? - Will the team close the registration and allow only those participants prior to extension?
2. ICO team inserting rules after the campaign - Will the team allow ICO teams add rules like exchange voting and require hunters to participate? - What would be the bounty team's response if ICO teams would withhold the bounty rewards to force hunters to participate?
These questions might help you understand how strong the bounty manager is when it comes to protecting its group of bounty hunters.
Disclaimer: I've also posted a similar topic in other forums I'm into. In case someone checks my post for plagiarism
I like your posts but remember that bounty managers only say what they are asked to say, most of them know nothing, so it's just like blind hunters following blind leaders. Haven't you noticed that some projects exit scam even when bounty is still on and the bounty managers. Do your own research

Bounty manager is not to blame here, mate. We follow bounty manager's rules to get stakes/tokens. And Bounty manager has to obey the team's decision. So, VANTA team asked bounty manager to make a new rule to get paid Vanta Rewards! You will be always disappointed by asking these questions at the beginning of the campaign. Because the ICO team needs to extend the bounty campaign to get more investors to gain enough money to reach the soft cap! I suggest you read all those replies here, you will understand these questions are not answerable at the early of bounty campaign.

Knowing things on the first place is really impossible yet rules can be changed either half way but most of the time they do make changes in the end of the campaign thats why as a bounty hunter you wouldnt have any choice but to abide with such changes even how hard or careful you are on knowing everything on the first place.

Sadly this seems to have become normal for the bounty campaigns. I am personally against the extensions and all the sudden changes and especially change and reduction in rewards but even after provoking the bounty managers in different campaigns the results are not seen may be we need some guaranters to interfere to mark a legit campaign.
I am also surprised at the many projects that now often give surprises when the bounty will end by extending the bounty without any additional allocation of rewards for the participants so that this is clearly very detrimental to the participants who have long worked and even more strangely now, it seems became a new trend for projects to reduce / cut the allocation of funds after the last bounty and I see it has happened a lot in several bounty projects in this month.

This is not about blaming the bounty managers. It is about how they will deal with those scenarios I posted in the OP. Surely, they already know things like bounty extension is a possibility and they could have included that in the negotiation before they accepted the deal to manage the campaign. Would it not be better if you get to work with bounty managers who already have plans for those scenarios and aren't easily pushed around by ICO teams?

we should understand as bounty hunters that we still need our esteem. I dont think the right to change rules during campaign include the extension of campaign period but we have thrown ourselves at any change because we believe the forum now has more people that could tolerate such change. Most extension should allow participants to leave campaign without lose of allocated stakes but now they lose everything even if they have spent a whole year.

They will change rules according to their wish and they can easily extend the bounty campaign.

Even if they do stick out on their rules from start to the end and then when the time of distribution comes they do suddenly cut out pays or make delays according to their likes which do really sucks.

Neither which way as long you would potentially earn but I do always preferred anytime on earning bitcoins and other valuable alts doing task rather than doing bounties without having some assurance of their value in the end yet we know that most of them do end up on a graveyard or doesn't have any value at all in the end. Its your choice though yet bounty hunting is somewhat like a gamble.

It is our freedom to ask anything before joining the bounty campaign. Now if they didn't answer your question properly, its your choice if you are going to continue to apply or not. But if that happen to me I won't join anymore if they didn't answer my query, though sometimes they have rules that they can change rules any time they want.

That's why some of the bounty has a telegram channel exclusive for bounty only so participants can ask different questions they want to know. It's important that the managers are transparent in running the bounty so participants would know the potential income they will make and of course the potential of the project to succeed. Bounty managers are also necessary to have the knowledge about the project he is promoting so he can echo the message coming from the team.

all rules are in favor of the bounty manager that they have the right to change all the rules if necessary and disqualify the participant without notice, so before joining the bounty we must analyze the bounty project by looking at the progress of the project to what extent their success.

Asking the team before joining the campaign project is the good thing that we must do always as a bounty hunters, so that nothing's to be blame in the end but ourselves. Besides, before we ask in the bounty thread the answer was already in there to their general rules, which is they have the rights to change without further reason.

I think it's a necessity to ask before joining as it will help to avoid most of this post coming up of Campaign extension and others that might come up and the rest

The problem with bounty teams is that they are all 3rd party people, managing bounties for other teams, and possibly even managing several bounties all at the same time.
They do not really care about what the project will decide, as long as they eventually get paid. Very few people really care about their so called communities.

Another phrase that could be a cheat is their early claim that the 'campaign rule could be changed any time', so if it could be changed what else are we sure we cam hold on to? I still beleive a bounty manager that seek the confidence and trust from his participants will try to satisfy them with the agreed reward.
