I would be more interested in investing if the cost of each square was 0.001 BTC and a recognized escrow service was provided.

0.001 * 1000 = 1 BTC and this is not profitable for them.

Anyway, from my observation, I think the price is not attractive also the entry free. When people calculate they will keep 1BTC (assuming 0.002BTC per slot) and they will give away another 1BTC, they (people) lose motivation. As one of the member suggested they can keep a percentage of the collected money. Max may be 20%.

I see there are only 3 squire sold so far.

Assuming the price of each square is 0.001btc, owner can still take a fee from the total prize pool like general lottery game. What is offered by this site does not make senses at all. The house may get more than the prize pool if all square are sold. Owner should think better how to attract gamblers, even a normal lottery game is hard to get interest.

I think it's not easy to predict which square which will comes out as the chosen one but it's a new system to play gambling and I like the design and the idea.
If you can keep your work and make it more better, I think you can get more visitor to come to your site.

This game is not for everyone though and it is just their choice if they want to join on that game but my concern is that the cost was too much to sell 1000 slots for 0.002 to 0.005 BTC. As the above stated the house is winning too much and the rest is like donating their Bitcoin to the winner.

Yeah, they should have started with less squares. I think 10x10 would do for a start. If they are going to scam (which we can't exclude), expecting someone to buy up all 100 squares might be a reasonable idea after all. Then they would just shut down the shop and run away with the money. If they are in it for real, they could start adding more squares after assessing the first results and probably entice users with more features (like real lotteries do all the time) as they gain experience in this field

Actually it's an interesting site for companies, since they can do some cheap advertising until the game gets traction and the rounds will become shorter.
Although with the house edge bound to rise !!?! I think that the game owners' greed will make the game unsuccessful. Oh well...

Your prize money is 1BTC
If you collect 1BTC after selling all the slots and give the same for the prize then how are you going to keep your cost and other things to manage this business.

The other users was proposing the slot prize 0.001BTC

Lottery or similar game like this is not really popular in this bitcoin gambling industry, the fact says that the most successful gambling game in this industry is dice game.  Easy to play, instant result (no need to wait other gamblers), etc. The main problem of this kind of game is "waiting". Many people do not like wait for unknown time to see the result, it makes people worry to play as the game may not even happening after a year unless there is someone willing to buy so many squares.
As I have suggested before, they should start with lower number of squares. Or give some some more games with different number of square. So users may choose which games to play, if they want to get faster result then they can choose game with the lower squares. There are some good insight in your first paragraph. People do not want to wait for a draw. They want instant result. However someone we are adopted with the national lottery but that's different story. People do not mind to spare £1 or £2 for lotto.

I do not think even lower number will have an increase number of interest to get people in the game.

Others have mentioned it in this thread, but it reminds me of that Million dollar website, where people can buy blocks of ad space.

15% house edge is very steep though, I mean i don't even know of any other gambling websites that have such a high house edge.

This is where we need to think sensibly because greed is something which if we can control things will only become better for us. And we fall in this trap of greed seeing lucrative 1 btc then we know what are the chances of our winning as compared to others.
