ChainLocks will secure the Dash blockchain against 51% attacks. This update also enables Chained InstantSend to begin allowing instantly respendable payments.

Below is the anticipated timing of each step on July 2.

8AM UTC: Deactivation of old InstantSend
9AM UTC*: Activation of new InstantSend
10AM UTC*: Activation of ChainLocks

*Times are subject to change depending on how the activation process goes. You can view the status of the spork activations here (http://178.254.23.111/~pub/Dash/sporks.html).
Users of DashWallet on both iOS and Android should be sure to update to the latest version of the app as soon as possible to take advantage of the new features.

The process will start with the deactivation of the “old” (current) version of InstantSend. The team will then wait for 24 blocks until all locks are mined or expired (approximately 1–2 hours).
During that time, InstantSend will not be available. This is to ensure a smooth transition to the new system.

Less then 3 hours to go before spork 20 (LLMQ-Based InstantSend) gets activated, and less then 4 hours to go before spork 19 (ChainLocks) gets activated (see above time table)
