Ignorance of the law is not an excuse for someone to be exempted to the rules. The moderator needs to be fair and equal to all members and if theymos extended his exemption to you, then he needs to do to exempt other members who got banned from the same mistake as well.
Accept the fact that you got permabanned and from that alone, learn from your lesson and move-on. Life is short, make the most out of it by improving everyday!

OP, I'd say you don't have a shot in hell of getting your account restored, since what you did wasn't just a one-time indiscretion--it was obviously a pattern with you to plagiarize other people's words.  There's no reason to think you wouldn't pull the same shit if your account got restored, or at least that you wouldn't pull some other kind of crap.  Theymos takes these case by case, but I don't see any reason for leniency here.

It actually takes a lot of work to do what Veleor does. Going through someone's posting history and checking the posts either with a software or via google. His posts get merited for that reason and they should.

How you're different from other people who got banned for plagiarism? We can't say that you did mistake only once - as shown above there are many posts that copy pasted. Theymos didn't mention that he appeal for your ban if you banned for plagiarism,if you have anything to contribute here then mention it and what is the benefits from that contribution to other members which is the way for you to get reconsideration.
