In my opinion, gambling is not that different from playing games like PUBG, DOTA2, etc., it triggers "joy hormone" and give you a sense of accomplishment. Since young people often cannot control that urge to play (driven from hormone), they would easily be addicted, and in the end, their brain got permanently damaged.

At the end of the day, this is just about self-control.

I have friends like this, people that will gamble on Mexican Womens Tennis if they can win (or most likely lose) some money on the game. It's a crushing addicition that we've normalized in our culture to make it seem like it's just apart of life. It shouldn't be, and children at a young age should be stopped from gambling until they know the horrible outcomes that gambling can cause. I support every effort by regulators to stem out the bad actors in the gambling field in order to stop children from being hooked on this.

Its sad that we see there are those who are starting to play games or gamble at a very young age. Sometimes we think who should be blamed here, is it the government who should have a strict policy about who can enter gambling premises and at what age or is it the parents who should have educated their children not go to sites or places where gambling is active or it should be the owners of the site or place because they allowed it.

Gambling is not really the one who must be blamed in the series of addiction stories because gambling is just a game we can play. Now, addiction is the result created from the behaviors of the people who play gambling because they tend to treat gambling as a part of their life which is the bad thing. Actually gambling is fun and entertaining if you know how to play with it in proper moderation because once you have changed your mind especially with the aim why you are playing gambling, now that will cause the addiction. I don't find anything wrong in gambling with money you can't afford to lose unless you are addicted. If someone doesn't like gambling, he is allowed to stay away. But in the case of stopping children from gambling, Children below 18 are restricted from entering the casinos or gambling websites. Online gambling sites doesn't have much parameters taken to restrict children from gambling. If they do so, they should implement KYC and it is not welcomed by majority of the gamblers. I agree with this, we shouldn't call names here. There are two types of gamblers: those who gamble for entertainment purposes(the vast majority, over 95%) and addicted gamblers that should be rather called sick persons than degenerates. Although the former ones do expect winning some money from their gambling activity, they never risk amounts big enough for ruining their lives, and thus if they lose it is not that painful for them, and they don't chase their losses. In short, most gamblers are not sick, and those who are still shouldn't be called degenerates.

I think he now becomes an addicting person in gambling because he still gambling, he doesn't listen to you as his friend, he cannot solve the problem with gambling. No doubt, gambling is a addiction and when you enter on addictive way, then definitely gambling will be dangerous for you, So it is normal thinking if you think negative about gambling.
Basically gambling made it to give us entertainment and if you play it to get entertainment then very good, but when you change your mind and start to play to earn and want profit from gambling then it will be a dangerous thing to you. Yes, it's definitely a lot better to be a gambler instead of a durg addict but I don't think you should be proud that you are a gambler as long as you lose more money than you win by doing that. I think the whole arguments is coming based on the headline addressing all who gamble as degenerates and many didn’t read thoroughly through the post to see where he mentioned those who do it to the extreme without control and at the same time there would be people as such who are also on the forum and would find that really insulting.
