The problem is just the addiction. Gambling can be a friendly activity like any other you do on weekends, holidays and vacations. What isn't normal, as you said, is someone who is every day behind a computer or gambling machine spending money that he or she can't afford to lose.
However you can't stop this issue imposing heavy regulations on gambling activity, what would be harmful for the industry and for the economy of a city or country. Think what would be Las Vegas for an example, without gambling or with heavy regulations over it.

So out of desperation, they will commit money that is too much for them to loose, some will now be on the game all and all nights and this is really very bad.

Just play with the intention to catch fun, spend the little you can afford, just like we make budgets to go to eateries. This way, we will not have so much history of addicted gamblers.

Well the term degenerate is a pretty narrow way to look at it. It's like saying these people are senile where in fact, a lot of them are sharp when it comes to other things aside from gambling. They want money because they are in need of money so the people who are growing them and also the respective governments are also reason for these kind of behaviour at younger age.People need to learn in the childhood days which is the only thing give stable income later stages of their life or they just need to wait for their luck to turn on their side at every occasion of betting.

Yeah as better this is the way I started to play betting. I have started to bet when there is a high chance of winning unfortunately I lose. This is where the taking another opportunity to bet and win the lose. Yes, I could win but most of the time I lose.

We don’t  have to wait for compulsive gamblers to harm anyone before correcting what is wrong. And this idea of they aren’t gambling without money seems to me like we don’t really care about what happens to this individuals. This has nothing to do with imposing opinions on individuals but rather correcting what is wrong, there is always a place for constructive criticism and that is exactly what we are doing here.

There was man I know years back that would spend all his day and time on gambling, no one could correct him or call him names because they all felt it was his money, until this man finished all he had on gambling and rendered his family homeless. Yes. Gambling with your own limits might keep you from being addicted to it. Gamble only with your extra money and if you happened to lose them all, then just go home and just spend time with your loved ones. That is the thing, understanding the aspect of playing moderately and with balance. How? Putting limits to the time and money you will spend daily or weekly. Daily limits are a lot better when you faced addiction in the past, day by day effort and having a step by step mindset can release a lot of chains made by yourself inside your mind.

I don't know if I could able to change your mind but I'll try my best. Gambling may be bad for some reason and also may not bad, it will only bad depend on how will you use it like if you use it to earn profit but if you will you use it for entertainment I think there's nothing wrong with that. Personally, I used to play gambling but I ain't get addicted so far probably because I could able to resist the temptation. It is really hard to changed up someone's mind thinking about gambling. That only way one can be calm in betting is to avoid anxiety and I noticed that anxiety is always common with people who want to make fast and quick money from gambling. Why the anxiety actually?  I feel the essence for varieties of games in gambling is to get fun. Gambling is not a source of income and even when any player desires to play for money, he should at least play moderately.
