I know my statement may sound pretty hostile on this part of the board, though I'm not talking about the person who will buy a superbowl box or makes a friendly bet with someone over one big game. I think the degenerates are the people sitting around gambling on every game they can possibly gamble on.

I have friends like this, people that will gamble on Mexican Womens Tennis if they can win (or most likely lose) some money on the game. It's a crushing addicition that we've normalized in our culture to make it seem like it's just apart of life. It shouldn't be, and children at a young age should be stopped from gambling until they know the horrible outcomes that gambling can cause. I support every effort by regulators to stem out the bad actors in the gambling field in order to stop children from being hooked on this.

I'd like one of you to change my mind, or at least make me think different about gambling. Because as of right now, I have a pretty negative view on it.

We gamble on basketball, boxing, tennis, politics, cockfighting, horse race, spiders, turtle race, serial number of bills, color of the next blouse of a teacher, an examination's answer, and countless others. An argument, for example, could easily be settled with a bet as to whether who is right, for as long as it could be actually confirmed. Quite a literal way of putting-your-money-where-your-mouth-is argument.

if ever they realize thier mistakes  , there is a chance that they can revised thier bad doings . some of my freinds were also gambling addicts before but they have changed because im helping them or i convinced them that what they are doing is wrong  . sometimes those people need relief so that they can recover easily  .

I wouldn't say you are not correct because it depends on the individual who involves in gambling, am different when it come to gambling because I can control myself and equally control my emotions, so, there will be no room for degeneration of whatsoever. Faithfully speaking I have never been into such state since I started my gambling life.

Gambling is not life but risk or game! We are here because we can take a risk and not every human being can do that. Many investors and gamblers are not in the right set of mind now because they take gambling too far to the extent of becoming addicted to it and as such degenerated and at that level I will say it is not gambling that is bad but the gamblers become greedy for gain.

Unfortunately many people comes in gambling who have no power to take risk but they come with the hope of wining and they never look at the other side of losing in gambling.  If you do not have complete knowledge of gambling, you should never come in gambling.

Imo there are two types of people who gamble. First the one who gambles to enjoy it as a form of entertainment, it doesn't matter to them if they win or not. Second is those who are addicted to gambling, they treat it as a way to earn extra money not realizing they just lose in the long run.

I admit that in some part of life I almost turn to addiction but lucky I have a friends and family that loves me a lot and they did go along my way until I got to forget about addiction and move the better way.today I can manage my desire in playing and only do this if I wanted to enjoy and entertained

There are lot of times where a simple gambling turns out to be an addiction, most especially when a gambler starts at a very young age. All he feels is the excitement and wanting to win the game, but unfortunately, winning will not be on his side all the time, there comes depression and worries, but this emotions turns out to be the reason why some keeps gambling and gambling till they become addicted to it. I don't why most people consider that gambling is an escape from the entertainment they choose whilst there are a lot of place that can be spend by them without end up with a sorrow, I believe most people who got lost from gambling will end up with sorrow. I guess for those people who choose to play gambling are they who has known the bad side from gambling but they need to proof it. There are only a few people who willing to lose money on the house and the rest they have an intend to gain more profit from it. So, I doubt for those people who says they play gambling only for fun but in fact their purpose is money.

  So gambling is a momentary investment and is a risky one. You want to replicate your money twice or even four times but you have to take risk for it. Since there is great output provided you win, it is worth risking your money in the gambling. Though there is uncertainty but we have seen people wining millions. In addition, having some money invested in crypto is also a lucrative option.

I certainly agree with you on some aspects, however there are some things I would like to point out. I wouldn't really say that the "people" who gamble are degenerates, but rather the industry as a whole. I'm not talking about the concept of gambling itself but more the tactics and objectives that casino's activity pursue.

Negative views about gambling will indeed exist but as long as we can play with full control, then in this way there is no degenerate. The greater argument is to call everyone normal who gambles because there is no alternative in life but to take risks.    Who here has never crossed a road without a green light to tell them, you will not always have definite 100% scenario to proceed with.  Its always best judgement that must be used and some unknown factor that be of some risk.
   The correct appraisal is how well people react to risk, some ignore some increase it for the thrill of beating bad risk and so on.  Some of that behaviour will lead to injury.

It can't, actually it's not impossible but it's very difficult to do. Many of the members here like that include me, when we lose we will continue to take risks to restore our losses. Well, just look at how many threads express their greed here and I'm sure there are still many of us who always take risks to recover losses.

Managing good money management may reduce addiction but will never eliminate our greed or emotional. It will always be there in every gamble that we do, it's just how we are able to control it to stay calm.
