Would Italy have won against Denmark? I think it would have been more difficult against Denmark than against England. Denmark would certainly have shot more on goal than England did yesterday. 

This is the most unrealistic and never ending discussion.  Next you will think what if Italy would have played the final against Spain or France  and what could be the result. Denmark lost against England in the semi-final, therefore if Italy could beat England, they could beat denmark too.

England reached the final knowing they were gonna play in Wembley. They had a great start, finding a goal in two minutes and what do they do? They start defending with the whole 11 players!
That was so stupid. Italy suffered 15 minuntes but then found the right way to attack ending with a crazy > 70% ball possession!
Italy deserved the Cup, no doubts but this England lost a once in a lifetime opportunity considering they played Euro2020 basically at home.

I wouldn't say it was a "stupid" move but that is not a great one neither, I would say it was a mediocre strategy. England is known for their hard defense, and so does Italy as well, if England moved their strategy from defense to offense and got stuck against Italian defenses and get a counter attack the result could have been a lot different, which Italy uses a ton, they use players who are very very fast and so they defend hard and then counter attack with fast players, England couldn't respond to that, scoring in the first 2 minutes was the luckiest thing they could have hoped for.

This is why I believe the strategy wasn't the greatest, but it wasn't horrible neither, the worst I can say was "subpar". The real horrible part came when Southgate changed 3 players all of whom missed penalties, that is just unheard of, you normally get good penalty takers if you are making a change and that means all the three players who were assumed to be good penalty takers all missed back to back.

Yep, it was a mistake to give so much space to the Italians. I read somewhere that Kane didn't have a single touch on the ball in the Italy's box and that he failed to have a shot on goal only the 2nd time in his international career.

It was not just Kane though, all England's attacking players had a really bad game yesterday. Sometimes it's hard to get back into the offensive groove if you defend too long, and England did that after an early goal. When they conceded, they simply could not jump into an offensive rhythm again.

I blame Southgate for that. You have guys like Rashford and Sancho on the bench. You can give them at least 2nd extra time to stretch the legs for sure. I was waiting for them to come on and rain hell on tired Italy defense but never happened. If nothing else I am sure they would have had more belief when taking penalties. There is nothing worse in football then taking penalty after not playing, at least for me, and my games did not have much of a stress factor.

Yup..  We exactly have the same thoughts.  But to Southgate’s credit, he did say in one interview that it was on him.  But still, the damage is done.  Poor Saka.  I feel for him the most.  He’s too young to be placed in a tough spot like that.

First of all congratulations to Italy for winning the Euro cup for the second time in their history.The biggest mistake was from the manager of England leaving the last penalty to a really young player.I think that he will have trouble now for the rest of his life when shooting a penalty as I think he will always remember this fail in the final.I can say that Italy deserved it more because had to fight against stronger teams like Belgium and Spain while England the only strong team they faced were Germany but Germany was really weak during this Euro cup.

Yes, you are right. We have to say that Italy plays with stronger countries in the matches. Spain and Belgium were among the favorite teams of this cup and Italy managed to eliminate these two teams. They deserved this trophy more than England. Young goalkeeper Donnaruma received the tournament player award.

Italy and England have reached the final with a great performance from the first match of the group stage. In the knock-out round, they defeated strong teams like Belgium and Spain. They are worthy contenders for the cup. However, we enjoyed a great final match. Both the teams have performed very well. However, all the matches in the knock-out round of the Euro this time were exciting.

The penalty shootout is always hard to predict, it could go either way. But if even before that, Italy had so many more chances of winning than England. This Euro 2020 was a huge red gamble for me, I lost almost all of my last 7 bets. First France, then Belgium, so many favourites just didn't perform.

Football is not my favorite sport, but I can understand your feelings. I never watch club football. The only instances when I watch football is when the national teams play in competitions such as World Cup, World Cup Qualifiers, Copa America and Euro Cup. And the beauty with these competitions is that they occur only once in 4 years or so. Unlike the case with club football, there will be major changes in the team composition and fortunes from one edition to the other. Also, I find it hard to support clubs based in foreign cities such as Manchester and Madrid. Supporting other countries is not that hard.

in the final match,  England actually played quite well in the first half and it was proven by the creation of a goal from Shaw in the second minute of the match, but when you saw England playing defensively for a 1-0 win in the second,  of course it provided an opportunity for Italy to dominate the match more and it messed up the England game until Italy was able to equalize the score, but what I was surprised at was when the England coach saved Sancho, even though we know that Sancho is in his best form at the moment and surprisingly the coach prepared Sancho and Rashford for penalties , I think England actually have a chance to win in the final if sterling who often penetrates the Italy defense is not selfish and holds the ball too long even though several other England players are in a strategic position to shoot on goal.

Yes, I also don't understand why some find this question so strange?  Denmark was eliminated in the semi-final because of a questionable penalty against England. England didn't score in the final after going 1-0 up in the first half.
I don't see Denmark winning against Italy either. But they wouldn't have been that much worse than England.

by chance, they carried that winning mentality into the final, got themselves level
after going 1 down and got the win.

Both players have same goal number so they check assists. Ronaldo have one assist and Schick have none so they give Golden Boot to Ronaldo. Like it or not but this is rules.

You are right. Although Ronaldo and Schick have the same number of goals, they are different on assists. It is surely no a crazy rule, to determine who deserves to be the top scorer, it will be analyzed from the contribution as an attacker. For me, it is a wise decision to count the number of assist as one of the assessment points.

Both teams are worthy contenders for the title. I don't think any team is weak. I don't think England are weak in the penalty shootout. I think their fate wasn't helped them. Players are under a lot of stress during a penalty shootout, any talented player can miss a penalty. As we saw Mbappe missed the penalty in the match of France vs Switzerland.

Just coming to that, i noticed that during the final few youtube channels were showing the thumbnail of live final match being broadcast but when you open the video they were broadcasting the  video game version of the match
