If we look at the statistics, it was a tournament with plenty of goals. There were also surprising results. Switzerland eliminated France. Nobody expected this. France was considered one of the finalists. I think Patrick Schick scored the best goal of the tournament. A great goal from midfield. I think the good players in the tournament were Schick, Donnarumma, Spinnazola, Ronaldo, De Bruyne, Chiellini, Harry Kane.
The worst team was Turkey. Turkey showed a good image before the tournament, scoring only 1 goal and left the tournament with 0 points. Their coach Güneş, on the other hand, did not give the right to the 3.2 million € money he received.

Although it is a good idea, it will not happen imo. Copa America schedule was random but was fixed to be played along with EURO every 4 years so next time it is EURO 2024 & Copa America 2024 which could be a one step away from making this super cup happening but what about other competitions? Asian, African... I doubt FIFA will allow such thing to happen without risking others to suggest side events (ESL and such...)

I am also surprised that we saw that many goals. Before the tournament started i thought that the current playstyle of football has changed from doing extremely high offensive pressing, which is of course also a very dangerous and risky thing to do because every mistake you make will generate a big opportunity for the opponent, to a more defensive playstyle where teams are not risking that much anymore. France managed to win the World Cup in 2018 with this kind of football, so i thought more teams would follow their example. To make this strategy work you also need the right players of course and France has probably the best player for that with Mbappe because he is just so insanely fast. Italy played a more dominant football again in this tournament which was also great to watch as a spectator therefore i am very happy that they won the cup.

I am also hopeful that a Maradona Super Cup will happen and should happen based on who Maradona was inside the green field(I don't care what he did to his life after leaving football).Argentina vs Italy is kinda like a classic,it is like seeing a final of a World Cup by the quality of the players these two teams possess. It is also true that many Argentians with the surname of Di before like Di Maria or De Federico and like this are originating from Italy.

Spain have good players, but that was the problem, they weren't playing as a team.
This is a valid point, and is often overlooked. Whilst having good players is important, it's not as important as how they fit together into a single unit. It's worth also considering the opposite situation, with teams such as Denmark, where the individual players don't seem to be world-beaters, but they way they work together is impressive.

That is correct. As a team, you have to become a unit. Many teams need the first games in the group phase to find themselves. Then they grow together more and more. Germany is such an example. They are a typical tournament team.

Poor Saka. I feel for him the most. He’s too young to be placed in a tough spot like that.
Anyway been hearing some news swirling around of racial abuse cos those poor guys missed their pens. That’s just sad.
I share your sentiment for Saka, sometimes it is best to give penalties to guys who will not overthink it or they simply don't care. I always remember Balotelli in situations like this. You can just see on him that he doesn't care and that is why pressure is not a big factor for him. Not even gonna comment those idiots that resorted to racial abuse. They should make a party for the team that is second in the Europe and celebrate them and instead they resort to abuse. That is why most of the world was on Italy side last night. Nobody is a fan of that "English arrogance", there are plenty of teams with better results in competitions and none of them think they are top of the world like English guys. Various English media outlets have reported that the Three Lions have been practicing penalties after every training session since September, and Bukayo Saka has been hitting them all. With a better percentage than Sterling and Grealish, he was the best performer that Southgate had, and that's why he got a chance to take a crucial penalty against Italy. Saka, in his entire life, never had the opportunity to shoot a penalty in the senior competition, but Southgate believed the statistics and he picked a 19-year-old to take the penalty. However, that decision backfired on him as Saka ultimately failed to convert the spot-kick. It is evident that penalty kicks are one of the most stressful aspects of a European cup final. Evan Jorginho, one of Europe's best penalty takers, succumb to the pressure and missed his opportunity. How can one expect a teenager to keep his cool under these circumstances?

So what do you say to Donnarumma being player of the tournament? Personally it sounds a bit strange, I don't recall a goalkeeper ever winning it before. Performance-wise it is deserved though, he was really good throughout the tournament and has won 2 penalty shootouts - saving 3 penalties in a row in the final (ok, 2 - Rashford hit the post - but counts as 3 I guess ). Who'd you pick? We really did not have any players that were clearly above the others. Maybe Sterling, but he didn't really show up for the final.

It's one thing to take penalties in training, another thing is in competition. I think the problem is not being new players, but the trustworthy personality that each one has. The question is, how many times have these players taken penalties during a game or an official competition?

I wouldn't be surprised if Donnarumma is the player of the tournament. We have to admit that Italy won the title because of his extraordinary performance. The match against Spain in the semi-final was drawn 1-1. Italy won the penalty shootout 4-2. They also drew 1-1 with England in the final and won 3-2 in a penalty shootout. The credit for this victory must go to Donnarumma.

Coincidentally that prolonged winning streak played a bit against him (odds), he has to lose at some point, in fact they were two things you had to look at as a bettor: England's endless streak without winning a national team title and the winning streak of Italy. _____ ...//...: Team Goals: 13 Italy 13 Spain 12 Dinmark
Player Goals: 5 Cristiano Ronaldo (first because they have fewer minutes and an assistance) 5 Schick 4 Lukaku ...//...: It was (is) relevant information for those who like to bet not only on the result but also for live betting and in the case of games and rounds the tiebreaker Lukaku could be the scorer of the soccer world cup, he is in the prime of conditions and at that age where great things are achieved, he fell short in this euro.

And did you notice Southgate brought two Man United players in the last minute just to be the ones to take those penalties? If there was politics behind that decision Southgate deserves to lose the whole thing. It’s just too bad for the fans. Southgate should’ve picked Sterling and Stones. Lolol.

I fell asleep immediately after the game yesterday, these constant overtimes really wore me out I'm glad that Italy won at the end, I thought they were the better team throughout the 120 minutes. I feel a bit bad about Saka though, it takes courage to shoot that last penalty, he's only 19 years old and will be put under a lot of pressure for a prolonged period now. He's also been racially abused, which is something that should never happen. I like english team football-wise, but the english fans showed once again yesterday why the whole world is against them. Disgusting behavior. This isn't the reason why I don't really follow English football more than Spanish, but definitely I've known for a long time about these English fans, and for a weird reason it also translates to their foreign fans abroad, talking about the hooliganism online. You will see them talk all the highest order crap online and hate each other with words not even reserved for things that matter. I don't even like Arsenal but I hope Saka blows everyone out of the water next season. Football has to really kick out these racists.

Donnarumma played a great tournament and even if it is quite uncommon that goalkeepers win this kind of trophy i think he deserved this one. He is a part of the team that managed to win this tournament which is also a big factor in this kind of awards. When I think about it, I can't think of any players who, in my opinion, deserve it more than he does. Maybe Bonucci or Chiellini as both also played great tournaments but aside from them i can't think of any other players. Ronaldo scored 5 goals but 3 of them were penalties and Portugal was eliminated to early. Kane made some good matches in the later stage of the tournament but played pretty unlucky in the first matches and Sterling did not play consistent enough. Maybe Schick would have a chance if the czechs managed to reach the semi-final or final.

England reached the final knowing they were gonna play in Wembley. They had a great start, finding a goal in two minutes and what do they do? They start defending with the whole 11 players!
They did not want to play real football, at the home of football. So they did not able to bring the cup back to home. That was so stupid. Italy suffered 15 minuntes but then found the right way to attack ending with a crazy > 70% ball possession! Italy deserved the Cup, no doubts but this England lost a once in a lifetime opportunity considering they played Euro2020 basically at home.
Italy looked to be surprised by the tactics from Southgate but after 15 minutes, they found out ways to play against England. England were too coward to play and only want to protect their 1 leading goal. They sacrifced their ball possession and did not use their best players in midfield and attacking areas to beat Italy. Dominated ball possession, more total shots, more shots on target. Some very great chances to score more goals. How can I say that Italy don't deserve the Championship?

I would not be so harsh to England, there was pressure on them because of home ground, and after scoring fast goal, it was logical to defend it on the other hand, Italy has to attack and ball possession, total shots, more shots domination is kind-a-logical, these teams are almost the same, and I did not expected from England to go for another goal after scoring one however, congrats to Italy for winning Euro
