What if you joined a project and the ICO was a successful one, atfirst they dont require KYC nor announce that it must be given.
But at the end of the bounty and you know you got the stakes and number of tokens. but to collect it you must submit KYC.
What will you do?

if its worth it and the coin itself has a big potential to grow its value because the team is reliable then i don't mind going through KYC verification. i have experience this before and i only give my personal information to those project that i know is legit.

Yes you right.
Me too i stop joining campain with KYC ID, that so danger.
And when i look again in that projects so many projects scamers and how if our ID is use for something illegal payment or other.
I quit for bounty KYC.
that's what makes me afraid to join Kyc even though we will be tempted by a gift that will be given by Kyc, but what happens now is that many scams make people afraid because we have to give our original ID before accepting a gift if the authorities don't responsible then our id can be the target of illegal payments.

Most of them are just delaying the payment by conducting kyc. Another reason for conducting one is that not all would do kyc so they would have less people to pay. IMO, kyc should just be for investors who actually invested in the project since bounty participants are not 'Costumers' at all.

KYC is just a way to make sure they are legit, if they are asking for your KYC information that means they are required by law as a company which means they are really taking it seriously. However do you know what those regulations do? Prevent them to go bigger beyond regulations. Hence, they mostly fail and never really go become big things. Do you know why the ones that do not ask for KYC makes money and pays you ?

Because, they have no regulations and nothing stopping them so they do whatever it is best for the coin no matter what which results with profits and paying people. So, it is not the KYC that is the problem it is the regulations. Look at New York for example, they increased the regulations on crypto companies so tight that you can barely find ANY company that works with crypto there.

I support the ideas passed across in this post. Asides from bounty hunting, rendering ones personal details over the internet is  a risky practice and in my opinion it's important to carry out proper checks to ensure the website is safe from hackers before dropping such intricate details.

I really hate KYC and besides those projects that require KYC turn out to be scam or pay very little coins. I think it is better you hide your identity and participate in projects that respect that than wasting your data on those that will steal it.

Hhmm i think not everythinng project who request your KYC is scam or fraud, i ever follow bounty who request KYC and already in exchange. So dont think everything who req your KYC is bad, its not about KYC but its about the people who manage the project.

yes we have to be careful to give personal data to other people, I think many projects are currently asking for personal data but the project is not completed or the project is canceled. I'm afraid the data that has been given will be misused

I really don't know how the issue of kyc will be put to an end to bounty hunters. Recently most projects ask for kyc and it makes me fear . Most times before the start of a bounty, if you ask if there will be kyc, there might be no response but at the end of the bounty you will be made to go through kyc which is not pleasant. I hope kyc comes to an end.

what you say is true.
but for me personally, it was asked KYC or not it didn't matter.
when the project is potential and has a future and we must learn it. want to be asked or KYC doesn't matter.
the point is we as Bounty Hunters must always be wise if you want to get more

This can only be said for projects you have interacted with. KYC is becoming an integral part of the system as much as we try not to admit. Scams and fraud have prevailed in upstarts in cryptocurrency, and as we move further towards STOs verification of devs and investors would become more important.

KYC does not put an end to scams or fraud and there is the risk of stolen identity why you have to verify the agency handling the process. If it's personally handled by the project endeavour to check the terms and privacy policy.

Glad that you did, but still many people are joining airdrops and bounty campaign with KYC, even those airdrops that is worth only $5, I don't know if they are using their own credentials or just faking it, because they can sell their credentials for that very low amount.

I had the same thought and even stopped participating in bounties that require kyc. But, not all of them are scams or frauds. There are some promising projects among them. Now, it become a hefty task to distinguish between good and bad projects. The truth is, many good projects went unrecognized due to this predicament.

I think not all of them base on my observation and you probably just landed to the wrong projects. No one forces you guys to join those projects/bounties that requires KYC, if they are requiring one then from the very start don't join them if you already had bad experience about such.

Yes, choose not choose. Hunters treat us badly. Any project can change the conditions of participation. And not only business in the procedure of confirmation of identity.  Cry

Cool that you understand it even now. Anyway, people should understand this and it seems to me that people already today understand that KYC is a process that is not quite relevant now, because now it’s very frank to share your documents is very dangerous.

There is one thing I have realized from my experience with KYC for bounties. Almost all the projects I have provided my personal information to them failed to even get listed on exchanges and the project dies off. Surprisingly, those that didn't require KYC paid me and the project is truly developing. My point is, am beginning to think those project requesting hunters to go through KYC are just in for their information to trade and do not have any intentions to develop their crypto project so let's be vigilant about whom we carelessly give our details to, for some peanuts...May God bless our hustle

Good for you. I guess there are still gullible people who's willing to share their personal info to a bounty just to get peanuts.

KYC is not necessary, yeah and maybe those who are requesting for a KYC might be a scam projects and just a way to get our personal info, and who knows, maybe they will sell in underground or something. So just be careful (for those who are still bounty hunting and giving out their data)!!!

KYC, in my opinion, is not a threat to us but also does not determine the success of a project. I am very careful about the gift project that uses KYC. As you said, many projects are gifted to use KYC but the project does not develop and even die. We must be careful in determining gift projects and checking.

that is why I do not like to join bounty that requires KYC, it is a sign of a scam to me, but if they are legit, are you willing to exchange your personal information to a peanut?.. hell no.

If you are asked to go through the KYC, this does not always mean that they want to deceive you. However, if there are projects that do not require the passage of the KYC, then it is better to participate in them. I am more than confident that your data for KYC in many cases fall into the hands of scummers.
