However, when bitcoin started from $0.01 to $100 then it became an assets, an investment to the majority that's why everyone is really talking about the price, and some about the technology behind.

Agree, rising from cents into thousands of dollars as its value will really drive investors to become greedy towards it.. We cant blame them for being to attach in terms of bitcoin value.. People got this paradigm because of the lending system 2 years ago that made people rich fast.

People usually ignore the real usage of crypto they are after the money,price or profit.

It was the ideology from the earliest days, unfortunately, people who jumped on the crypto train after 2014 didn't do it for the sake of to have financial privacy, they did it as an investment and they're only interested in profits. To be fair those people were saying bitcoin will reach 10k, 20k next year and so on, it happened when price was 600$ and even 1K reach was wonder but seems they were right.
As you say bitcoin is for freedom and privacy, I would make a little correction here, bitcoin was for it when it was new and not massively used. When good things get abused, they aren't the same as they were at first.
Politic is different dimention, all they want is control on people but also at the same time they keep calm because there is demand, there is supply. When you close supply, there will be new supply and absolutely harder way to detect because there is demand. Hope you understand what I mean.

I am sad that I lost around $800 in profits once because of not selling during ATH, and I now hold some btc with hope that the price will grow, and I'll be able to live and study in Vienna. I also like it that Bitcoin created new job opportunities. Not everyone is into bitcoins coz of idealism. Yes, I think that bitcoin can be a superior substitute for fiat but how long would I have to wait for that to happen?

I also don't think rooting for bitcoin's success and trying to make a profit out of it is mutually exclusive. Say you invested a lot in the early days and during ath decided to sell them all off. Is that wrong? Not necessarily, you could have used the fiat to establish a business and then buy back some bitcoins.

Smart and safe investments in real world are usually not bringing more than 10-15% per year. Everything with a higher ROI is always considered as an unsafe investment. So people that are buying crypto in order to get rich fast would probably lose their money. The other part that got lucky would sell it way below the ATH because of lack of experience.

People will talk about Bitcoin price and it is so easy to them to talk for their invested capital. When they see their investment in Bitcoin is under the purchase price, they become worried. However, when bitcoin started from $0.01 to $100 then it became an assets, an investment to the majority that's why everyone is really talking about the price, and some about the technology behind.

Almost all people here in this business industry which is cryptocurrency they are aiming to get profit and some are thinking through this things they become rich in a short period of time. But this is not the way bitcoin design for. I prefer to use blockchain techologies for making transaction including payments throught different sources and mostly people are really interested to earn by this technologies, in real life if there is available instantanious cryptocurencies we can look for making them usual in a goverment level, but goverments not allowing them to work freely because it's anonymous blockchain structure

We never see that if bitcoin just to be use as an investment only by many users. Very well said people think btc is just another bubble which they can encash whilst its blowing. Just today i saw someone who said that he is regularly investing in btc for better returns. But btc is not about returns not at all about it. If everyone is thinking just about their returns from btc then it will lose its value too as we are not considering about its utility.

You are lucky to enter the cryptocurrency world in such at their young age. I discovered cryptocurrency from at least 3 years ago and the price is a little bit expensive base on my salary per month so i just save at least 10% of my income per month and put it into cryptocurrency and just like yours, i sold them at 2018 when the price is high even though it starts declining.

Every government basically corrupt, they dont care about other people, i think every politician should be representative of his voters , but i feel its like we are serfs ! Think about it ...
 

people today assume that bitcoin is one of the fastest ways to get rich, behind that they cannot enjoy the up and down process of bitcoin prices so that when bitcoin prices rise they will enliven the bitcoin market but when prices fall they are only concerned whether bitcoin prices will rise again or not. I really agree with your thread because humans are now more concerned with the results than the process, especially in bitcoin, the price of which has skyrocketed
