If you look at the majority of tokens from ICOs from 2018 and the prices they are traded for now, it's no wonder people don't invest in ICOs that much anymore.
I want to understand what kind of people constantly sell their coins lower than the prices of the ICO itself. it's very stupid

Probably people who think they can outplay the market and 'sell now to buy-back at an even lower price'. This mindset is the main reason why people sell for a loss.

As compared to the Q1 of 2018, Q1 of 2019 saw a dramatic decrease in amount of investment done on ICOs. The amount collected by ICOs has been decreased by 58 times as compared to previous year.
https://cointelegraph.com/news/report-icos-raised-118-million-in-q1-2019-over-58-times-less-than-in-q1-2018/amp

Edit - It's not just 5100% but is 5800%
The current situation is guilty. The sharp price fall at the end of last year has led to the pause of most good projects. And worse ICOs began to be visible and the people started to stay away thinking that this was a problem of ICOs.

If it continues to develop the ICOs market in this way, we will see the gradual disappearance of ICOs. Since people in general will no longer invest in any projects. Accordingly, it will be simply useless to create new ICOs, since this projects will not get any money.

I think it was before the launch of all major IEOs this year. ICOs were slowly dying and we needed a good solution and I believe we have finally found a great alternative to make people invest a lot of money into ICOs again.
I think that very soon ico will again become a popular form of fundraising - when people realize that ieo is a form of scam from the part of the exchange

That's no surprise since the whole ICO market is full of scammers and you can't amymore trust anyone or anything. At first ICO seemed like a great time and I thought it will just help cryptocurrencies get to another level because now people have a good option to invest their money in but seems like scammers have noticed the opportunity and took the lead over it

such enormous collapse of investment in ICOs is not a surprise at all anymore. this is owed to numerous scam projects piled on top of another that were launched last year. this is the reason why we are seeing the birth of IEO nowadays. however, this new way of raising funds will find again its way to scammers. since exchanges are now following this process, many will fall again to fraudulent ones and time will tell that these IEOs will be full of scammers again. small or big time investors should be very careful with these projects. no one but ourselves is responsible to our own investments.

It's not surprising and it will continue to go down until no one will invest in ICO anymore, there's a lot of irregularity and developers of these ICO are very dishonest to investors and bounty hunters, investors are now looking at IEO to invest because it's much safer and convenient.

Anyways I think that is not surprising to me looking at the fact that what we experienced in 2017 was a huge bubble. The hype was too high and people created ICOs just anyhow, but now people have started thinking twice about where and what they put their money. Hence we should expect that.

The bear market is highly responsible for that as most icos made major loss after listing on the exchanges.

We cannot blame the bear market. Indeed, very few people are currently interested in investing in the ICO. And in fact it's true, after the listing it is definitely a dump. But not all projects occur like that. There are still many after listing prices have increased.

Although the difference is very huge, it can be justified by the current market condition. After the the fall in bitcoin value, all other coins and tokens witnessed a great shock and as a result investors are looking for other options other than ICOs to invest their money. Others are waiting until the value of cryptocurrencies start appreciating before they invest again.I am very positive that there will be a rise in the rate of ICO investments as the year approaches its end.

Maybe the main cause of what happen in ICO investment is the security issue. With all the scam ICO that doesn't seem to be stopping making many investors hesitate to make an investment because they got worried if they got scammed.

Actually demand of ICO will increase if the trend of Bitcoin and Ethereum up trend because all ICO only accepted crypto as payment methode, so investor will buy BTC and ETH only when uptrend and they make invest that to ICO and hopefully they can make profit from ICO and also increasing price of BTC. Other factor is some ICO that turn in to fraud so alot of investor afraid to join it, and many token ICO so long to get listed on the exchange.

5800 %?
it doesn't too much, isn't it?

I think is because so many fail blockchain project that affected people to leave from investing in ICO, and also with the current bear market that affected to the Bitcoin price and of course the price of all altcoins will decrease too...

I don't think 58% investments reducing in ICO projects is tragic for a cryptocurrency market. There was a real boom in the first quarter of 2018, when millions of people around the world invested in ICOs in the hope of very fast money. As far as I know, in 2017-2018, the average return from investing in ICOs was about 500%. Then  the era of ICO activities regulation began, and many states have legally banned the promoting of ICOs. At present, the work on cryptocurrency sphere regulation is mainly over, and the growth of the crypto market in my opinion is held back solely by investors' concerns against the background of last year’s price collapse. But today, bitcoin suddenly began to grow and I hope that this is the beginning of a new rally.

Honestly, it might continue this way till ICO investment becomes zero and disappear into the thin air if nothing is done about it or scammers stays off it.Scammers really did a lot of damages to the ICO and jeopardized chances of other good projects from successfully getting investor and not only scammers, even bad projects too contributed to this.

However, there are still chances of ICO surviving if we can exempt ICO from this decentralized system we are talking about and get it regulated, otherwise we all stick to the IEO projects and hope that it will end up same way ICO ended up becoming. We also have to keep IEO projects free of bad projects by still making sure we invest in right project and not give chance to bad projects having our money.

It's the true picture on what is happening in the ICO industry, investors are leaving and only the brave remained or those experts who can see a good ICO, in the next two years we may see one or two ICO in a month, unless there is a regulation in these ICO.

It is not surprising to know about as everything linked with crypto was dominated by bears in the last one year each coin was down multiple folds, overall market volume crashed massively so it was natural that investments in icos will decrease too, now with markets improving i think it is not long that we will again see hype in all related niches of crypto including icos.

That is because investors are losing money from most of 2018 ICOs and there are lot of ICOs that become scam in the end and this make investor hesitant to take the risk in joining ICO, investors now are flocking in IEO where they are guaranty that the coins they are buying will be listed in an exchange.
