To much to fast in the past. Only a few can outlive the time of a bear market in a over exposed market. People will be pickier as they should.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

The markets have started doing well and might be that if bull run continues for some time we could see many coins exponentially growing very quickly and results in a very good money making form such coins in future.

anything can happen so it's still very possible if the previous coin is a rubbish coin can become gold in the future, so wait a minute we have to hold it back even though the price is very cheap now
we just wait until Bitcoin can go back up high and we see what happens to the coins we have, hopefully it will also rise.

As compared to the Q1 of 2018, Q1 of 2019 saw a dramatic decrease in amount of investment done on ICOs. The amount collected by ICOs has been decreased by 58 times as compared to previous year.
https://cointelegraph.com/news/report-icos-raised-118-million-in-q1-2019-over-58-times-less-than-in-q1-2018/amp

Edit - It's not just 5100% but is 5800%

It is no wonder, there were many ICOs failed to bring profit to investors.
If the ICOs were good, the investors would like to invest more on the upcoming ICOs.
Now is the time for IEO. Many IEO are success in raising funds nowadays. The question is, will IEO bring profit for investors in the future ?

Why investors would invest in ICOs, if it is not profitable. During the bearish trend over the past one year's, most tokens price drop after listing on exchanges causing a lot of loss for the investors, so now they are reluctant to invest in ICOs.
These price drop they experience after listing was initial blames on Bounty hunters, and them we saw that the percentage allocated to hunter are so insignificant to curse massive price drop, and then we moved on to attacking investors for dumping the coin, then we realized too that investors are not the ones, investors only dump coin when they have made up to 2x of their investment but what we see now is that, ico price gets dropped in price the moment in enters an exchange, so this automatically implies that some of these developers themselves are the ones doing this which is quite unfortunate and discouraging for investors.

Although I also got to know that it is a mechanism design by them also to shield the system from experiencing sudden dump by investors, at least investors will learn to stay longer in the project if they don’t see any favorable price to make them dump the coin.

It is now surprising for me at all. I wonder who is investing ICO's anymore? I think only the newbies would invest to a ICO project now. The ICO's was something great and lots of people make lots of money including me.. But in 2018 nearly all projects turned scam in someway.. So unfortunately at the end of the day we all loose more than we earn in ICO's..

What is common today is IEO. Most exchanges like Binance have already launch their IEO platform and tokens that are listed on these IEOs are mostly easily sold. Well, I for myself was able to get in BTT IEO, missed the Celer and is already looking forward to the release of Beatzcoin IEO.

ICO has lost confidence in investors and is slowly dying at the end of 2018. Currently, the BTC price increases, causing market fluctuations. Therefore, it makes investors focus more on altcoin. Another part of the IEO was born, giving them confidence and safer investments.

Because we are in the bear market and many investors are discourage to invest anymore. The perfect time to buy crypto is when Bitcoin started the bull run.
Same here. The statistics are not wrong. You can check out so many online articles on The Medium magazine about crypto and what IEOs have done to ICOs. There is a buzz in the crypto space about IEO and every company that want to raise funds by selling its tokens will now think about IEOs and not ICOs. So yeah, it’s like the arrival of ethereum out-ranked the litecoin from the position of king of altcoins like that. I guess, situations may get restored as IEOs may start attracting more investors in near future so that may have another set of statistics which may speak about increased investors.

In any case, ethereum is in a leading position among all new companies that use different platforms. But nevertheless, today the situation in the cryptocurrency market is such that investors most of all prefer to buy coins on the stock exchanges and not only old rating ones, but also new ones, but also new ones after listing. The fact is that everyone already knows that the prices of new coins on the stock exchanges are much cheaper than the prices of ico companies.

All have long known that investors have moved to other markets, more promising and profitable. Now there is no point in investing in new ICOs. So there are so many scammers and basically when a coin starts trading on an exchanger it drops sharply in price.

If you buy a coin from an ICO and it actually gets listed on an exchange that should be the greatest news you could hear because the problem with ICOs right now is that they are not even bothering to list their coins on exchanges, running away with investors money way before that.

Base on my observation when Bitcoin kicks it price value in the market, majority some of the altcoins I had noticed that they are also increased their value in the market as well. In short, the motion price of Bitcoin has a big influenced or impact too to others coins here in crypto currency, so it doesn't matter if most of the ico's decreased in the market..

What did you think? People will endlessly believe the scammers? This once again proves that the ICO market is dying very quickly... maybe this is good

Of course, this was expected since the public sale of tokens has already lost its former investor confidence. All investments now go to the I and Sto since these types of sales are much safer for investors.

This there are some factors that have lead to this and some of the factors are, reduction in the price of bitcoin, rampant of fake project and the introduction of IEO.

You are right and its happening already because people are tired of ICO scams and there is no better ways to fish scam ICOs out yet and investors are tired of trying out there lucks with no guarantee which is why many are going after IEO projects now ,its hard to see failed IEO in crypto space now

There drastic reduction is the success rate of ICOs is down to two factors, which are the bear market conditions and the fraudulent activities that are run with ICOs. The bear market is a period where there is not much money in circulation and people are rarely investing in cryptos, so ICOs would surely struggle to raise funds. And the fraudulent activities that are run with ICOs are too much which discourages investors from investing their money. If ICOs could be regulated, then the good ones will be able to raise enough money.

5800% only? I thought that ICOs are completely dead, I didn´t hear about recent ICO that raised atleast soft-cap and what does it mean for us? For bounty hunters? A lot of hours of hard working without payment  Roll Eyes.
