Bitcoin does not really need an institutional body to act as the control the body to make people understand the purpose and nature of Bitcoin.

you got a point above but the purpose of bitcoin government is not for the people to learn bitcoin but its for the regulations  . there are benefit if bitcoins become regulated but there were also disadvantages  .

Decentralization in the Bitcoin ecosystem means everybody has the freedom to transact directly with anyone without restrictions. Having a Bitcoin government is basically centralization of the Bitcoin ecosystem, which goes against the true nature of Bitcoin and decentralization.

you got a point again but like what i stated above  . if bitcoin is centralized or regulated  , the users of bitcoin can be controlled and not all can use bitcoins which was good i think because this filters out the criminal and abusers   .

bitcoin government is a good idea imo but not necesarily needed at all because most governments nowadays are already allowing bitcoin  .

If a bitcoin government need to emerge, each and everything needs to be linked on the blockchain. If that happens each and everything will be transparent and through the same it won't be easy for anymore corruption and for any misuse of the positions headed. Surely this will make each and every country to get shrunk and work for the people. Bitcoin government is good in one way, but this too will have lot of negative effects which we can find on thorough research.
This is the best comment so far, to have a bitcoin government it must start and end with the blockchain technology. And since the blockchain technology is not an individuals or group with an established territory having that functions and features of a government is impossible, bitcoin is already operating a free financial system which is on it own a government since all it transactions is carried out on the blockchain which is not controlled by any body which offer us such freedom that no government can take away from us.

I don't like it.

I mean with the use of Bitcoin we can have our freedom, the reason we are using Bitcoin is we can use its decentralization, so we can be anonymous paying online. I know that this body will not be destroying that but if someone will be committing a crime and used Bitcoin, they will be the one on the pressure solving that crime in which in the first place, they don't know about.

I don't think this is necessary. Bitcoin is decentralized meaning it is not being controlled or manipulated by any single organization. And governments are the ones controlling those under their power. Looking at those two ideas, they seem to contradict, right? If a bitcoin government will be established, then bitcoin will then be controlled thus removing its decentralized nature. Simply put, it's basically a matter of decentralization. And would its creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, approve to this bitcoin government? I don't know but I don't think so.

After all,
bitcoin exist for 10 years now and still
proving its pwn identity.

It is possible that in the coming years bitcoin will be more powerful than now and if we keep it for the future we are sure that crypto is the future currency and bitcoin government is a superb idea and mostly the crypto creators will make it happen in the future.

this idea is not new. a lot of people already thought about this but can you tell me who can we make the regulator of bitcoin and what powers will he have. well, we do not have Satoshi Nakamoto so there is no owner or regulator and even if we make someone leader he is still going to face a lot of problems like even jail, because many different countries are going to try their hands with this new power. they are not going to help us they are simply going to declare it as illegal currency because according to them no one can make a currency.

~ that's the real intentions of satoshi nakamoto, giving freedom to all of us in terms of free transactions without any interventions coming from any government bodies, bitcoin exist for 10 years now and still
proving its pwn identity.

As far as we can remember, it's in the human nature to screw up any system, however good or bad it may be, because there is simply not enough honest people around to support a potentially good system. The beauty of Satoshi's invention is that we don't need to rely on people's honesty any more. I think this should be analyzed thoroughly and implemented on every government level as soon as possible, because the Western model, being the best around imo, is nevertheless in deep crisis, and something has to be done to ... well, to save the world.

Do we need a Bitcoin government? Every government worth its salt should be bitcoin-oriented one nowadays.

This is hardly a good idea.  Because if the government means the bitcoin will be managed.  Do we need this?  I think that most likely not.

Government means scam and Bitcoin Government means dream. and guess what dreams never get fulfilled so just do whatever you are doing and stop talking shit. nobody needs governments involved in bitcoin or want to have any individual representing the leader in the bitcoin community. Just enjoy the freedom of money making and spending it as much as you can until higher authority tries to stop you.

Bitcoin is created to be decentralized and one of the reasons why it was created is that for no one to have control over it. It's one of the main reasons why a lot of people love cryptocurrency. They were able to keep away with banks and government, along with being free for transacting conveniently anonymously.

what you are asking for sounds a lot like centralization and it won't ever go fine with bitcoin. we are all here because we wanted a decentralized currency without a "government" to control it or make any kind of decisions for its future, legalization,...

Would it not be best to start your own bitcoin nation then? It seems more and more laws are affecting bitcoin each day in current nations. I mean here in Canada we got to claim it and pay tax on it to the government anyways.

free from banks  ,governments  ?  no i dont really think so   .

bitcoin itself is now legalized by governments on most countries and its also being accepted by banks  . by this  , how can we say that we are away from banks and governments  ?   i think bitcoin right now is already regulated or centralized  .  but i dont get it , why there are still people that wont agree on the idea of the op  ?

That Bitcoin government wouldn't exist for sure. Why? Consider on how he would faced up current centralized government worldwide? How can it be approved nor to operate as it should be
without violating any rules that do centralized government had?

Theres no point on creating one yet people do like crypto as it is and we can stand without the need of that Bitcoin government.
Right, in my opinion we don't need to be troubled to create a system of our own government for bitcoin. otherwise it violates the rules, because each country has its own government. there is no point for that.
just let bitcoin develop itself and stand on its own feet

Bitcoin claims that “It is the first decentralized peer-to-peer payment network that is powered by its users with no central authority or middlemen.” That lack of central authority is the primary reason governments are afraid of the cryptocurrency. To understand this fear, it is important to know a little bit about governments and conventional currencies.

Absolutely agree with you. We do not need any regulatory add-on for Bitcoin, it should not have any central governing bodies. Any such body will eventually lead to a violation of the principles of the existence of decentralized cryptocurrency. Moreover, such a body is unlikely to be considered by the state. It will not actually be a government, but an association of people without specific powers.

I understand the sentiment behind this statement but you need to know how taxation helps the governments. Not being a part of the government internal can end up giving people wrong ideas about it. But that does not mean every government is corrupt. What I am trying to say is that taxation is a necessary evil and you cannot stop taxing people because they use bitcoin.

You have to find out a method to tax them otherwise who is going to pay for the public services like water supply, road construction, government schemes and so on. You will become literally mad if you start to learn about how many things the taxation money is used to run.

Hello guys
 Roll Eyes
I just wanted to discuss - *DO WE NEED BITCOIN GOVERNMENT?*

Let's just put it in a simple way Bitcoins is being harassed by the governments , the banks , the private sector , the bulls , the investors and it's just something that we cannot control.

What if we had a government for Bitcoins to support it , to legalize it like some normal currency , off course while keeping it's main points strong and not converting that into fiat.

What if it was accepted into the normal currency system?
I would like to say that I understand already that it's not just a currency , it's a store house of value , it's more than that, but integrating this currency 2.0,  Cheesy would not only increase it's stability but would also give the users rights.

And to do all this we need something like a Bitcoin government , which will support it ,legalize it , purse the lawsuits , give the users rights .

It will make Bitcoin something that every fiat worshipping government and off course banks and all , will more or so accept ( forcefully though) but let's face it ,it will be still better than the dictatorship in North Korea and no one says anything about it -_- why would this matter to them ? As long as we are not Harming others.

We just need a integrated environment because let's face it there are 111 out of 251 regions where Bitcoins is legal and to make it global everlasting integrated crypto currency , we do need all of these 251 regions to agree to this ( if not all then 90% the least )
so you think of creating an organization or gathering people to make the name of the bitcoin department? this main problem is how to respond to the world government with the presence of bitcoin let alone make bitcoin governance in various countries. I am still thinking about how it would be if the very fluctuating value of bitcoin becomes a means of payment, OK if the value goes up it is very profitable for the user or user, but if the value goes down is not that harmful.

No, we don't need a bitcoin government. Sure we need bitcoin to have some approvals from global governments but we don't need a particular government seeing to bitcoin. This will ruin the whole vision of bitcion as a cryptocurrency.

Tha's the point that once the government are able to have their Bitcoin they will have the full control on the adopters. They will manipulate their ways in in order to enslave the adopters. We don't need government Bitcoin as we are okay with what is currently on ground {Bitcoin}. Bitcoin is decentralized and that of the government will be centralized.

What we actually need are current governments that are friendly to Bitcoin and would have laws and regulations laying down the parameter in doing Bitcoin-related business. Though it is good to dream of a separate island that is primarily governed by the ideals set by Satoshi Nakamoto and his Bitcoin, the reality is that it can so difficult establishing one. Massive adoption means that people all over the world, governments, businesses, organizations are into using Bitcoin everyday.
