Why is Bytecoin soaring? Technical analysis and price prediction

Christmas came this year with a major price correction to almost all digital currencies. Bitcoin prices severely corrected down to $10,400 on the 22nd, dragging the whole market down. While John Mcafee confidently calls it a Christmas discount, CNBC went as far as hinting a bubble burst, labeling the correction a “crypto carnage”.

Following the decline, one digital currency in particular, Bytecoin soared by 57% in the last 24 hours. It currently occupies the 25th position with a market cap of over $1.4 billion. The token, rose to an all-time high of $0.0092 on POLONIEX, a four-digit rise from the $0.000044 last January.

As of press time, the impressive uptrend seems to be correcting around $0.008.

What is Bytecoin? What reasons may possibly explain its astronomical rise in value in the matter of weeks?

Why can we not withdraw coins from poloniex?

Poloniex is pain in the arse to use. Especially for BCN they have been freezing the wallet over and over again.
It is recommended to use HitBTC for BCN.

BCN going to $1 - count on it

How do u know that ?

that would require it to have a 185 bill marketcap

Never

However ByteCoin could reach $0,02-$0,03 in Q1/Q2 2018

- evolvion

Considering other coins price, like Ripple, USD $1 for BCN doesn't look too ambitious in my opinion. I think 2018 will be very good for this coin.
It will see a steady rise during 2018.

Hi devs

Once the hardfork starts, will we have the coins safe on the Mobile Bytecoin Wallet for Android?
Is there any procedure to change the coins to the new API?

Thanks in advance. Keep up the great work!

Suggest me a reliable and alive miner pool for BCN except for  a shady minergate. I need to mine on CPU via simple terminal miner on windows 7 64bit
Except for minergate link all oners are dead i think

Monero (Forked from Bytecoin) is currently trading at 337 $. Bytecoin price still not even a cent?
Both ByteCoin & Monero use same technology. Then why ByteCoin is still undervalued?

This is just out of curiosity and the fact that i am holding Bytecoins.

All right, anonymous coins in the future will still show very good growth. Now you can buy BCN XMR ZEC DASH CLOAK
They all still have to grow very much.

Amongst the coins you have mentioned, only a couple might have a bright future. Those are the ones with a real programme and development behind. Do your own homework before investing into something.

Hello, I am having a problem with my windows wallet and would appreciate any help or suggestions from the group.  After purchasing some bytecoin I moved them from the exchange wallet to a web wallet with no problem.  Last night I downloaded the windows wallet and it synched, but shows disconnected from the network.  I hit the start mining button and that seemed to be working because my shares continued to grow.

I then sent 700 coins from my web wallet as a test to see if there would be a problem receiving them.  Now my walled seems to not respond at all.  It still shows disconnected, it is no longer synced, and no transactions show.

Can anyone tell me how to go about fixing it?

First, make sure you're using the latest version of the wallet. (I believe the current version is v1.1.9.3)
The try restarting the wallet as well as the PC.
If that doesn't solve the problem, you may have to delete the blockchain data (C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\bytecoin) and sync the wallet from scratch. - Please note it is more than 40GB of data. - Backup the wallet before deleting blockchain data.
