Thank you all, for at least shining some light on the matter..

It seems like a guessing game, where this coin is going,

I assumed that the issue on poloniex with BCN would be resolved within the same week i bought them, as i am used with other coins whom experience maintenance or an update, but why a high listed coin gets so neglected by its developers and marketing team or whatever they use to get attention to their "product" is as logical as upwards rain or dogs playing violin..

As i am invested in this coin it is definitely not a great idea to ask these questions out loud, as it is negative publicity, but not getting any answers from the BCN team brings life to idea of a scam, not me asking these questions after quite some time of being silent!!

So please if anyone from the developers should read this: ANSWER!!!!! Give us the warm embrace of hope, and remove this sickening fealing of abandonment, by the ones we put faith in by investing............

yo, guess you are a bit late to this shitshow/scamcoin.... It's children are 10x better! Cheesy

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=740112.0

Yes very late, but things are going well enough..

It seems you are very sure about this, so you must have some physical evedince ,or maybe just a higher grade of experience?
So if you would be so kind to explain , what makes this coin different  then the other coins with lazy devs? I mean those whom explode in price.  I would be gratefull

Look at reddcoin it was like 2 sats on polo now its 50 sats since delisting. BCN will be better off

Polo probably scared by the margin possibilities, I believe you can magin BCN on polo right? if price explodes then millionaires galore

is bcn usable and mineable right now?

I agreed, this is same thing happened to DSH, DSH price is higher than poloniex delisted price right now. But of course it is good if BCN still listed in poloniex, but if dev does not want to do anything on it, then we can help nothing on it.

Yes, BCN is still mineable, I'm using one thread of my CPU to mine it 24/7. Or do you mean if it is profitable to mine?

DSH is higher than poloniex delisted price right now because poloniex did not put DSH on BTC trading even after changing "10,000 to 1" in coin denomintaion...

DSH applied the "10:000 to 1" to be able to enter BTC pairing, since being a 100% clone of BCN means DSH have 180+ billions max supply, BCN trading at that time was 4 to 10 satoshi so DSH have to be 0.xxxx satoshis, poloniex don't trade on sub-satoshi levels like hitbtc.

DSH price is 3x higher in terms of BTC and 10x higher in terms of USD after the polo delisting.

Dear BCN community,

My name is Jenny Goldberg and I’m the official BCN community manager

From this moment on, the official Bytecoin team will be making an effort to be more transparent to the community.
We've been following all the activity in the community and we know you've been waiting for us to make a public statement.  We see that there are lots of questions and we are now here to answer.

But firstly let me express my gratitude to all those enthusiasts who have made such valuable contributions to the development of BCN.
We are so grateful for all the work put in by @Leogheo and BFB program team, @kinlakinla for the Bytecoin info page, @GaboCarranza and @sydney40 for Bytecointalk activity, @july for the Telegram channel, @boomworking for help with the design and @Camilo_Gil for your sincere appeal to our team.
Thanks to the entire community for your trust and support even when you didn't hear from us. Only with your support we were able to keep up our strength and continue working.

Just a few words about our history, Bytecoin is the first coin developed under the cryptonote protocol, but due to the fragmented nature of the community, BCN was forked a million times. You know that sometimes we were criticized for “slow development”, but the truth is that when the others were spending time on marketing, we were putting all our effort into enhancing the already existing cryptocurrency ecosystem.

In any case, we're still here and we're looking to grow. We would like to invite the best cryptographers, developers, bright minds and passionate hearts to join our BCN team to create absolutely new and exciting developments - get ready for the BCN of the new era. To ensure our success in this new era, we'll need to support and trust each other and make our community even stronger.

Starting now, we are open for communication. Feel free to share your thoughts, bugs and features with us. Please send all feedback to contact@bytecoin.org and we'll get back to you asap.
We will do our best to bring the best ideas to life.

Let’s start a new chapter of Bytecoin together!

Could you please share your cpu specs and how many BCN is produced on your config a day/month? Not because of the profitability, at this price level I'm sure it isn't worth, but if on cpu/gpu you harvest a fair amount, I may start mining it too. Thanks.

Thank you.
Are there any suggested pool/mining software? (I prefer Claymore solutions, but others may work better)

If you were to ask me about profit by using cpu to mine coin, you will lose money. So far I did not see any coin that are profitable with cpu mining (maybe I over look, but if you found any, please feel free to let me know).

To answer your question, I used Q9550 one core = 27H/s, approximate 27 coin per day.

I am using minergate software for mine BCN. and withdraw every 200-300 coins to my BCN wallet from minergate.
I like it. There is no high temp while mining, and I can work on PC without freezes while mining.
BTW I was trying another console miners, but I choose minergate at the end. its more comfort and easy to me.

I used minergate console miner too. May I know what is the model of your i7? Using 8 threads and still can work without freezing? You must have high-end i7 with more than 8 threads?

To yany: You can choose to use Claymore miner at minergate too.
