The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Hey all,

At the moment we're working on a new wallet for MacOS and we wanted to give you a sneak peak of the first design. (follow the reddit link)

We wanted you to be the first to see it and get your feedback for development. Let us know what you think and what you'd want to see in a wallet.

We're looking forward to hearing your ideas and suggestions!

Do you plan on open sourcing this wallet along with the rest of the GUI wallets? It is very odd that the official GUI wallet for an open source cryptocurrency is close source. It doesn't help much to improve the project's reputation. Development transparency is the strongest pillar in the success of any cryptocurrency. Dash's code base was closed source for a long time before the community started demanding transparent development. That experiment is now trading at $200 a coin.

Hello,

We are working on this problem right now, this should take 2-3 weeks to fix all the bugs.
It would be great If you could help us with the communication with Poloniex.

Not quite right. It is possible with the GPU, but less efficiently. Mine allows a native purse.

Open source development is about being transparent with the community about the code they are running on their systems. A side effect is that other projects (like yours) will use the code and potentially improve upon it. Those improvements can then be brought back into the original project. Keeping the wallet code hidden from this community doesn't reflect well upon the developers of this project. If the developers here are operating as per the Qt licensing agreement they are obligated to release the source code. If they're violating the Qt license then it says a lot about their character.

You're right. We open source our wallet but I perfecly understand devs if they don't open source Wink Not many actually are developing and introducing something new, some just copy'n'paste, moreover replace copyright of original devs  But still it worth it to open source.
Maybe they bought commercial license.

Yes, it is the same system and the same problem (but today, already at 1 313 944 is cycled). On another computer with windows 7 works fine (but only at night it can be synchronized).

I am surprised that people are still mining this coin. I tot it was dead long ago. Anyway, what is so good about BCN? What is the use case of BCN? Or is it just a clone of other altcoins.

Bytecoin is not either a Bitcoin clone, it's a cryptonote.

Yes, bytecoin is the first coin to use cryptonote algorithm. But honestly, a cryptocurrency does not really need to have good use case in order to survive...
