So, like DStrange mentioned they are preparing the infrastructure for services that can be built on top. If the news is on the clearweb then expect it to be useable on the clearweb (and other regions of the web ofcourse) Wink

I didn't say "they are preparing the infrastructure"

I would rather say they are working with their infrastructure. I believe in large anonymous community of good people

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Oops, missed the news message and was just reading the wiki article. Was thinking you refered to that.. Didn't noticed there are already actual services and stores running on the chain. Wow

he asked me to add a buy order for 100,000,000 BCN to spreadsheet. looks strange.

first little bull child Smiley
The question is - who is that guy with 25BTC who wants to buy BCN?
Another strange thing -  is his appearance is related with Bytecoin.org updates about API, stores, etc?
He could be just a profit hunter with bulling manners, or maybe, if he is apart of a Bytecoin secret community he wants to show us today’s "fair" (in his mind) Bytecoin price.

Any way is there anyone who owns more that 10Mill bytecoin today here?
Just want to understand the average miner here.
Thanks.

I currently have about 3M BCNs.

I think something is happening. Changed music, updated API, buying everything we might possibly have mined. What's next?

The biggest question of all though, is it anonymous? From what I've heard no one so far has accomplished this, and if this coin is what it's claimed to be, that is big news!

It's anonymous enough... at least from my perspective. The only criticism I've heard is it uses elliptic curve cryptography, which is vulnerable to Shor's algorithm and thus would be useless against quantum computers. There's also rumours that the NSA promotes ECC because they know of a weakness it has. Even if that were the case, I doubt it's so easily breakable that they can start tracing people's transactions willy nilly.

Last Difficulty is 661742 - i guess mining in solo getting worthless.
Any experience in minergate.com mining? Is it the only Bytecoin pool?

I'd like to see a blockchain explorer to see if it's actually anonymous.

Not this type of giveaways... Anyway, I think there is no more coins left (I applied and received nothing :/)
Quote
Specifically, you are not allowed to give people any incentive to post insubstantial posts in your threads. You can't offer to pay people who post their addresses, usernames, etc. You can do giveaways off-site and link to the giveaway page in a thread, but you can't give people any bonus for replying to your thread.

Oh I see. It's just that all the people replying to the thread are doing it wrong. It seems the letter of the giveaway ban is being followed although the intent is a bit of a fail.

He messaged me as well. Perhaps he knows of a marketplace where bcn is traded at a much higher price and thinks he can arbitrage.

I'll believe it when he actually pays 25 BTC (or similar), or even just demonstrates that he has it. As of now it is just a brand new account with zero post count. Anyone can create a new account and claim to have 25 BTC.

That said, the comment on the web site about "services and stores" is intriguing. If there actually are services and stores there might be such a marketplace.

We'll see.
