Running a lost as an altcoin investor can be easy because there are various altcoin out there And so many are poorly managed.

*disregard shilling or FUD
And if you must move a way from established altcoins
*study the volume
*check on the project owners reputation
*compare and contrast the white paper, potential investors and future possibilities of the coin.

Anyway, what altcoins do you mean here, are they new altcoins or top altcoins? I think it should be clearer firstly. For new altcoins, I think they become fewer this year because investors seem not really interested to invest in new altcoins. Many investors prefer to buy top altcoins that can be safer to be their assets. I think it makes sense, during a lot of scams and failed projects, they must be more selective.

First of all your title is confusing, what do you mean by "productive" altcoin do not produce anything, you might want to change it to "profiting". I think what he meant was startup ICOs, he considers it as an altcoins. And yeah I also earn a lot in day trading some altcoins in binance. I really dont like to invest in ICOs nowadays because most of them have no real use case in the long run or in short money-grab projects.

It's too late if you want to cut loss your altcoin now because the price is at the bottom. Right now, you should only wait than to cut loss, and if you want to cut loss, you should do that in the last year. Altcoin still profitable but you should choose the right altcoin. As long as you can choose the top altcoin, I guess you can make a profit again while you still hold the other altcoin.

Diversify is good but you need to manage your funds, so you still have backup funds to buy coins if the price is down again. Now, every coin has a good time to rise again including your coins so you can hope that your time to make a profit will be back soon.
