Bittrex and binance has reputable volumes on alt coins, they are reliable with good reputable, good quality exchange tools, providing good mechanism such as stop loss. Alt coins varies are many of them are unverified professionally as whenever they had on going developments and such, this satisfy your requirements as being the safest as well.

Any exchange you can find here. Or you can use Huobi or Bitfinex exchange. They are all the best exchanges, and you can sell Bitcoin on these exchanges, and easily withdraw money to your account. But they do not support FIAT.

I have some Bitcoin in my hardware wallet

May I please ask - Which is the Safest and Most Reliable Exchange to Sell Alt Coins ?

There are still many good exchange you can trade your altcoin. You can visit coinmarketcap for top 10 exchange. For me, I will suggest you go with binance. I  am not too sure if they allow new signup but I really enjoy trading there because their trading fee is low and minimum withdrawal is small so in case you have little altcoin to exchange. In case you want direct withdrawal to bank account, you can try liquid exchange but you need to pass the kyc which might be tough sometime due to rigorous scrutinization of your documents.

You are telling you got bitcoin in your hardware wallet and you wanted to sell alt coins, can be clear whether you want to sell btc or altcoins. If you want to sell bitcoins then you can go with binance, bittrex or localbitcoins P2P exchange. but before that keep in mind that you have to complete the KYC procedure in all big exchanges so be ready for it. If you want to sell your other altcoins then first check where they are listed and sell according to it.

The top 100 in coinmarketcap websites are good especially the first ones.

Top 100 exchanges are good but if its too far from the top then you must still be careful because not all top 100 exchanges are good. If there’s a local exchanges in your place then try to use it or better to use binance. If you want to exchange your bitcoin to fiat then look for some facilities who can make this one for you in your place.

Binance ranked first in my opinion. Binance is easy to use or user-friendly for me, especially lay people who are new to crypto exchange. Binance is also equipped with KYC which makes it safe and reliable. Actually, there are still many good and safe crypto exchanges like KuCoin, Bittrex, Poloniex.
Binance is highly reputed exchange it’s undoubtedly true. You can use it without KYC, Daily 2 BTC you can withdraw from unverified account. But other many exchange you can't withdraw any single amount without verification. Secondly Bittrex is high reliable exchange i think.

Binance is the way to go. Very trustable, fast and without any KYC if you withdraw below 2 BTC per day. If more, just do another account Wink

Bittrex has been OK for me. Don't use the charts though.

I have been using Bittrex for a very long time, I feel comfortable and safe because Bittrex can provide a very good level of security for my account. Although the transaction fee is quite large, but when we get good security, everyone will feel comfortable. So choose a good exchange service because it will determine how safe your assets are or not.

I prefer decentralized exchange where no one handles you money except you when you do trading. These exchanges that has proven already its worth are forkdelta, etherdelta, idex and etc. However, centralized exchange may also do.good especially on tue establish exchange like binance and kucoin. Yet, setting exchange for altcoin could not be done in the centralized exchange if you want to sell your altcoin to.which decentralized token can.

When altcoin is not yet listed in an exchange? Then try forkdelta and list it for yourself and then copy and paste the link in the telegram group.and for sure everyone else there will follow either sell or buy tokens.

I think the safest and  most reliable exchange to sell bitcoin is face to face selling because you won't be a victim of a scam. But if you dont have any contact buyer I heard something about Bitrexx. On this site my friend told me that it has a good security so your transaction is safe but the transaction is larger than other selling but the good thing is your security.

Face to Face transactions if you have a huge amount of coins will endanger your life, I'm not a fan of this deal as I wanted to keep the real intentions of this market, being anonymous and enjoy the benefits, not unless you will going to trade your assets to someone who you truly trust from there maybe
I'll take the risk of dealing with meetups to someone, moving back, binance can cater your trade if you have good coins that already exist from their
exchange, it's trusted and being used by many traders around the market.

As others have said, Binance is a great exchange to sell alts when possible. I have never had issues with Binance. Though it is a centralized exchange, my deposits and withdrawals have been reasonably fast. Also, remember to set up 2FA.
I appreciate the popular and friendly exchange experience for beginners. Binance is the most popular exchange today, and the platform is user-friendly with many different security layers. Support is always available 24/7 to help all users feel secure and using.

For bitcoin there are many reputed exchange and already mentioned that website. But if you want to sell altcoins then you have to check which exchanger accept that coins. So first check your altcoin where that coin traded then you can sell

If I were to rank the exchanges that I think was reliable then here are my preferences.

Big exchanges such as:

1. Binance
2. Bitfinex
3. Bitmart
4. Poloniex

These are big exchanges that I have bee using and so far in years of using it and trading in these exchanges I never encountered any problems using them. I have also been storing some of my coins and tokens on those exchanges and so far its excellent for me.

In terms of small exchanges, I cannot yet make a list maybe soon. But if you want a good volume then I would recommend those which I listed above.

I think it all depends on what alt-coin would you be selling?
I think it is best to look for it at CMC we have so many trusted exchange platform and many alt-coin.
And not all of the alt-coin would be listed on a single exchange we know that there are some who wouldn't be listed on the top exchange platforms .

You need to choose trading platforms with large trading volumes. There is stable development. Good interaction and support. Any system has a time of error, quick resolution will reduce the risk of your investment!

In my personal opinion Coinbase is the most reputable out there and their service is top-notch and very secure. They don't have a huge alt coin lineup though like other exchanges so only top alt coins like ETH and LTC are included.

I don't think it is a good idea to sell all your coins at moment, because as you can see the market is green and we hope to see 20k+ again. Don't be in a hurry.
