It is not possible to find those insects here where I live, so I have never seen people gambling on any spider fighting, I think this is something people do in warmer countries with richer wild animal wildlife.
How would you even pick a spider to gamble on?

yes, I think it's just alternative entertainment to make money, in my country nobody is betting on using spider animals like that, both children and adults, spider animals are not used as battlefields except for other animals such as cockfighting , racing rabbits, horses and racing cows. Let me just correct one of your opinion about spiders. Spiders are not poisonous that could kill a human, their poision is just for their prey, to paralyze it, but only a human could be killed by a spider bite if he or she will have an allergic reaction to it that might lead to death.

Let's get back to your topic. I've been experienced betting on spider fight way back when I was just a teenager, it's kind a cool and exciting at the same time but I don't just bet on random spiders, I only bet on my spiders that I've catched on our night hunt, that way, I had the confident that I will win.

Dont try to criticize your fellow countrymen just for this thing and hence spider fights are seasonal or not permanent and these spiders arent really that endangered thats why i dont see a reason why would impost a strict law about on these animal or insect fights?
