What this author is trying to say is that bitcoin cannot be banned globally and i completely agree with the author, yes local laws can put embaggle on the activities of bitcoin but for bitcoin to be completely eradicated is a complete myth.,

I would like to take up the points of an article published on Bitcoinist. (Even if some will say that this media is Pro-Bitcoin the points are the most important.)

Quote
1. Laws Can’t Be Written Against Bits and Bites
2. You Can’t Ban Open-Source Distributed Software
3. Bitcoin Can Be Broadcasted via Satellite
4. You can Send Bitcoin Via SMS
5. You Can’t Shut Down the Power Grid

Any regulation can't prevent us from using Bitcoin. Despite their attempt to keep an eye on the system, it is simply impossible for them to ban people using it. So why giving a fuck to "I'm afraid my country will ban Bitcoin!"
They have nothing to fully stop the ecosystem that is currently emerging.

Yeah your right.even its banned in one country you can still use bitcoin without knowing by the government or by anyone.its up to you if you want to know of other people you use bitcoin.it is your privacy to hide  that you use bitcoin.also no body will know your bitcoin address unless you tell or broadcast it.it is really privately using bitcoin so yeah your right why afraid of banned bitcoin in your country.you can still use bitcoin if its you want anytime.I also think government who banned bitcoin is useless as lomg as someone wants to use bitcoin.just an idea of mine.

They can't even ban illegal drugs never mind anything else. People will use it no matter what law is made about it. So you may as well just allow it since it is impossible to fight.

That's a terrible argument: people will use it no matter what, it's impossible to fight so you may as well just allow it. Imagine if the whole world thought the same way about certain crimes like torture or rape or murder which is illegal everywhere.

I use Bitcoin, many people do, but many people also don't and Bitcoin may one day become not as useful as something else, some other tech more superior. Who knows. But let's not be take away every logic just because of Bitcoin!

The best reason is that if they forbid it, people will look for it more, so much that it will start to be a lot of persecution, because everything that is forbidden people seek what is prohibited by natural law will always be what they prefer. If we take into account all current events, there are many ways to evade the prohibitions, and to have up to VPNs to access it.

Agree on you. I like your logical perspective. Indeed the more forbidden the more popular it gets except for the fact that indigens of such regions will have to tread with caution because whoever is caught will face the wrath of the law. Meanwhile behind closed doors you can expect that the same law makers may be eating the same forbidden fruit

Bitcoin was illegal. It stayed underground earlier. And yet it slowly surfaced because it was really attractive that people cannot help but join the advocacy. And what have they done? Restrictions, regulations, and so on. Have they stopped Bitcoin? Nope. The point should not be stopping it. The point should be learning from it and determining which features of it that they might adopt.

Bitcoin is a global currency and it exists on the internet so government won't be able to control it. It can't be banned easily just because it can destroy banks, it's because it has a lot of potential to our future technology.

It may be impossible to physically ban Bitcoin. But at the same time, the government authorities are capable of preventing the usage of Bitcoins, by arresting its users. This tactic has been used by third world nations such as Bangladesh, to scare away people from transacting with BTC. And the Indian government, as per reliable reports is also moving towards that direction.

There are many country's where Bitcoin is banned. Crime is there while talking about Bitcoin. Admit or not Bitcoin is the only medium of future transaction. No matter how much law the government uses. Any how people will using Bitcoin.

Did you even read the article you just quoted? That is a gang who stole crypto. Bitcoin is not banned anywhere.

Bangladesh is one of only 6 countries in the world that are considered “hostile” to bitcoin.

Bangladesh Bank officials have again issued a warning pertaining to cryptocurrencies, this time seeking to deter the country’s banks from providing services to bitcoin users.

Then if access in your country is limited to cryptocurrency sites such as exchanges and cryptonews? indeed it is true that bitcoin transactions and other cryptocurrency are difficult to stop. in my opinion the problem is that the regulations that are usually used by countries which ban bitcoin are only aimed at users, I mean those who obey conduct transactions in that country will be punished, according to regulations made.

Get Tails OS, boot it from usb/dvd whatever in random pc. Install Electrum, ensure its properly connected via TOR. Transact away, shutoff computer = all traces are gone.

Yes, seriously. All you need is some spv wallet that can use tor, and never reuse an address, and you are done.

You can do the same on android with android's tor, called orbot. Connect your Electrum wallet to orbot the same way you do in a pc.

Tor is freedom, thank the US Navy for wanting secure communications to their operatives behind enemy lines, and sharing it as free open source software.

It isn't a third party service render or a platform for all form of needs. Bitcoin is a decentralized platform that get used in multiple ways. This way it is completely an impossible task to ban bitcoin usage or restrict people from using it. Only the regulations could restrict the usage, but the network functions the same without any form of change all around.

It is nice to know that one can use his Bitcoin with out hindrance. The Government of a country that is against Bitcoin can not stop its usage. Bitcoin will surely rule the world
It cannot be banned because the transaction is online and government do not know whether their people use it. It is not to be banned as long as it is not used any crimes that will hurt others. Bitcoin existence won't take over the world but just a currency that can be used with anonymity.

Countries that are banning Bitcoin, only do so as a means of buying time, by slowing down the economical impact that cryptocurrencies are having. This postpones the mass adoption of Bitcoin & gives the government time to react & decide what actions they can take, if any. But the technology of Bitcoin makes it almost impossible to enforce the ban, so eventually they will have to legalise it. In the end it is the people who make the laws, but not the government, the government tries to maintain stability & resist any sudden fluctuations in the way society functions.

"In December last year, Blockstream launched its fifth satellite streaming the Bitcoin blockchain from space. This venture solves to make the Bitcoin network more robust and less dependent on the internet." Didn't know that. Shows how Bitcoin develops.

"Sorry folks, try as you may, Bitcoin is becoming increasingly unbannable." Ha ha, nice Grin Grin Grin

The fact here is that banning bitcoin use is possible but stopping the use is impossible. Sounds similarly but truly different as practically, the use can only be discouraged but can hardly be stopped
Strongly agree with what you say, that the use of bitcoin is difficult to emphasize, indeed because of developments in technology that have been unavoidable.
even though it is possible in some developing countries it is still considered illegal, but development will not be able to stop at a time.

In some cases that banning is lifted for they know that it gives benefits to the people and making money from this. Bitcoin has a role in the community and people appreciated it the same thing that authorities realize it and there is no reason why we should have lock it down.

I agree with you. Why is it impossible to ban bitcoin? Government can say that this currency isn't safe for them and they have to ban it, this proposal and everything is done. But there are a lot of things banned, there are a lot of things illegal, there are jails for them but did it prevent anything? No, it just reduced number of customers and made it even harder for governments to stop. So if they ban bitcoin, it still will be available anyway but with difficult and more time consuming ways.

For many people, bitcoin has become a symbol of freedom. States may try to ban bitcoin. But the state does not control bitcoin. And people will find ways to circumvent these prohibitions.

Bitcoin can actually be banned and those dealing in it prosecuted by law. Except you already own bitcoin and carry out all your transactions peer to peer but if you use an exchanged, government can flag your bank account when you receive or transfer funds.
