subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The
subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Michael you can mine it from the client, I'm doing so now. Update 1: The network does seem to be holding stable, so that's a good sign. Yes I am finding tons of blocks in cgminer, but so far only 2 confirmed to network and that's NORMAL for a coins this fast and this early. That's good actually, it means someone else is/was finding those blocks at the same time and got them to network first. Difficulty is retargeting sucessfully it appears. Went from 106 when I got on, to 109, to 13something, to 146, to 183. Looking like the targeting is working, although quicker than 5 minutes, but that's fine right now. |

I don't know how but I DID IT!!!! I actually found a block within the first 2 minutes of mining. I only had 800 mh/s. I guess it was because the difficulty was at 191 or something. Now it's probably at 1500.  I also got a rejected one and haven't found anything since. When I saw that one miner at 345 Ghash I knew I would never get a chance again. Hopefully the chain doesn't fork. Whatever that means. Oh well, Happy Mining! |
