Hey guys, how are you all doing?

I've been talking with alpho2k and walrusbonzo, who plan to take over CAIx and make it a community driven coin.
Currently they have not heard anything from Stuhlman, so we still don't know if he's ok with it. I'd like his approval, but at some time we just have to move on...

Walrusbonzo and alpho2k are currently taking the time to study everything about CAIx. Walrusbonzo is learning about the technical aspects as well.
The way I see it is that they're planning the takeover very carefully, they don't want to get in over their heads. Everything needs to be nice and well organized.
Everything about that is fantastic, there's just one disadvantage and that is the time it takes. It will take some time to plan this, but at least you know that when they take over CAIx, it will be worth the wait.

I wanted to share this with you guys, just so you know that there's probably a future for CAIx. We just don't know when this future will start Wink.

I'm good thanks Pieter Smiley How are you?

CAIx has essentially become a personal project for me.

I'm a developer in my day job, I've been programming for a good 20 years. But I've never had any real desire to do it in my spare time in adulthood, mainly because without a "problem" there is no need for a "solution".

Not to say that CAIx is a problem. But I know how undervalued it is as a crypto-currency and I know how many got burned by it.

I therefore thought why not use CAIx as my project to learn about the blockchain, wallets and everything that comes with it.

That's where I'm at and hopefully there will be some positive outcomes. Of course, any help is very welcome, especially as I don't want to come across as some self imposed leader. If anything I really don't want to be responsible for that side of things. So if you think you can do something that is positive for the coin, let us all know about it.

Thanks

stulhman did a come back in november and in february, so, we will should see him soon!

He will probably say : Hey, i'm back to get this coin back on track! New wallet is here! Psp is back! Big pump incomming! And a lot of others stupids sentences like this Tongue

Edit : And the best sentence ever from Joseph Stuhlman : Trust me, I am a man of honor.

He once said to me that he wanted CAIx to be a massive success because his reputation was on the line  Cheesy

That Titan that was supposed to be used for the PSP could be used to mine coins like Crave, Cybercoin and 8bit?

CAIx bootstrap.dat file 04/28/2015

Hi guys, I've uploaded a bootstrap.dat file for users that are syncing their wallets for the first time.
Adding the bootstrap.dat file to your datafolder will significantly speed up the syncing process.

What is bootstrap.dat
bootstrap.dat allows a new CAIx client (not synced) to rapidly import the initial blocks from a local file instead of slowly downloading blocks from random peers.
This significantly reduces the time it takes to get a client synced with the current blockchain.
Simply having bootstrap.dat in CAIx's expected data directory will make your initial block sync much faster. For default directories, have a look at our GitHub.

How this works
  • Download bootstrap.rar from MEGA.
  • Unpack to obtain bootstrap.dat.
  • Put the bootstrap.dat file into the CAIx datadir. This is the same folder that contains wallet.dat and the blocks folder. Or run the wallet with "CAIx-qt.exe -loadblock=c:\path_to\bootstrap.dat
  • Launching the CAIx client will take longer, because the bootstrap.dat file is being imported to the wallet."
  • Delete bootstrap.dat.old after the process if you want to recover some storage space.

I can't be shure if he's behind Cyber and 8bit, but the way they are managed reminds me of caix...
They pumped on fake promises, updates in red, 8bit is somehow connected to a computer game like caix used to be, can be mined with a Titan....
....and in the end they are abandoned.

Of course they don't make any real proof, but I couldn't help notice that.

Guys, this is the end. Don't you see? Holding CAIX means vaporizing all the few peanuts left in your wallets. I feel so sorry about this coin, I liked it, really.

It's with great regret that I announce that no CAIx coin revival involving myself, alpho2k or pieterjanvh will be going ahead.

As I believe I am the largest holder of CAIx I really did enjoy the idea of seeing a revival. I almost felt like I needed to do it having invested so much time and money into it up to this point. Last year shortly after its pump to 160k, I invested around 12~13 btc at 50k sat, this was while many of you were staking for dividends, something I never received. That gave me 26k. The fact I now have 203k proves my attempts to keep this alive ever since.

The reason this has now come about is mostly down to my successes in other areas. I can effectively right off my loses here without a conscience. And therefore my heart isn't in it like it was a month ago. This is crypto, a lot can change in a month.

I'm sure many of you will now be thinking that the dumps the last few days have been me. I don't expect you to trust me, this is crypto, but it absolutely was not me. I didn't sit on this news for days, dumping and only now telling you all. I still have all the CAIx I've ever had. Not a single coin is for sale on any exchange, it's staking away and to be honest I get the feeling I'm the one holding the whole network up.

In light of this I'll continue to stake so that you all have ample time to decide as to what you want to do. If you decide to send to exchanges to sell, your coins WILL get there. I obviously can't guarantee you will be able to sell any though. I don't have any buys set, so this isn't some fud trick to get you to dump. In a week or two I will decide what I do. Maybe I'll send them all to BitTrex and dump. Maybe a good dev picks them up and has good reason to dev the coin. I'll be happy for that to happen for the sake of the rest of you. If any interested devs want to takeover let me know, I'll be happy to relinquish all my coins if you have the right credentials.

That's all I have to say for now, other than I'd like to apologies to all those who had raised hopes about the revival. I'm sorry.

Please do make your decisions soon, once I move all my coins to an exchange the network will become very slow, getting 510 transaction confirmations may take days rather than hours.

That was very touching speech. Taking into consideration that some months ago I bought some CAIX when price was above 80K, I think 200-400 SAT is quite fair price.  Grin So in case you are moving your coins to exchange to dump, I'm gladly catching those dumps. If somebody thinks CAIX is dead, he is wrong. I'm always saying a coin is only dead when it's network breaks apart. CAIX network has been working well so far thus the price might go up one day or another.  Grin  As for most of you this is the end of days, major sell off, I am saying it's extended accumulation time.

Unless you've got plenty of stakes, the network probably will break when/if I move all my coins to an exchange or stop staking.

So if you all want CAIx to survive past two weeks time, make sure you're staking.

How's the network guys? I turned off staking a couple of days ago.

It'll be back on in a bit when I've re-downloaded the blockchain.
