Created by Satoshi or not, if it is a better version than the current bitcoin client, then I will support it.
There's a chance that we'll understand some great fine tuning in the new coin settings only when it's already expensive. If it's proven to be Satoshi (although the chance for such event is very very small), if he will make a new coin I'd probably put a way a couple of them, just to make sure I have my back covered. Then it depends how the ecosystem will adapt to the new coin, I may use it more or less than the actual Bitcoin.

~~ If Satoshi returns with better technology, it will add to BTC "as it will receive quick acceptance" but that does not mean the need to cancel or stop dealing with bitcoin, something like Ubuntu or mint.
Personally, there will be no other technology that Satoshi will bring out that will be of a match to Bitcoin (Original Bitcoin). Remember someone claimed that, he was the Satoshi; and then fork Bitcoin without a good end, so, likewise if the Real Satoshi do, end in shackles. Lets understand that Satoshi created this technology for it to develop as time goes on, and also, remember that its an experiment and cannot be change from what it is to another new version so easily. If this happen, there will be a clear signal that the community is divided.

This experiment was never about Satoshi Nakamoto, but rather the technology that was supposed to "replace" or "disrupt" the corrupt Banking system. Now Banks have started to use Satoshi's code against him, by creating their own "Blockchain" based coins. If Satoshi created a new technology that could not be "pirated" by Banks and other financial institutions and if it was better than Bitcoin, then I would consider selling some of my coins to buy these new coins. I would still keep some BTC, because it is the most widely used coin at the moment.

Whatever might be the technology with the bitcoin 2.0, one that existed initially will hold the value. The second version will be the one derived from the first one. Some user have mentioned it comparing to the ethereum classic, still ethereum leads the market. Ethereum classic gained good support just because of ethereum. Same will happen with bitcoin 2.0 as well.
The market determines which version will be the go to project when it comes to crypto currencies and you really cannot compare ETH and ETH classic split with the hypothetical situation OP is talking about. The former split occurred because of the dictatorship method in which they forked the coin when a massive hack happened in the network and we all know the fate of ETC. The fact is that the market has grown beyond the scope of Satoshi and the better technology will always prevail.

If Satoshi came out with Bitcoin2.0 would you use it over Bitcoin current client, if he advised you to and let you exchange your current btc into it? let`s say he used his keys to 100% prove it is the real person or team. signed on the forum and signed with 2-3 of the starting wallets and genesis address 1A1zP1eP5QGefi2DMPTfTL5SLmv7DivfNa
Even if someone is able to sign in with the genesis address and asked to convert the coins to their upcoming new coin and promises a better technology, no one in the right sense will do that as the market has grown to a point that it cannot be replaced in a short period of time, if it was the early days with a few users then there would be a possibility but not anymore. This experiment was never about Satoshi Nakamoto, but rather the technology that was supposed to "replace" or "disrupt" the corrupt Banking system. Now Banks have started to use Satoshi's code against him, by creating their own "Blockchain" based coins.
What if Satoshi comes out and patents and copyrights his creation and ask for royalty from everyone who use them, then there will be a massive disruption .

That is how you do copyright, with blockchain tech, You know what they used to do and still do, you go for a patent with your idea on paper and behind closed doors they clone their paper date to earlier date than yours and steal your patent anyways, with blockchain this cannot happen. But yah If I were him I would be going after bitcoin.com Because they are using his trade mark, I know other developers here who are getting attacked by the banks just for having part of their name in it, and were in the cyrpto space 4 years even before the government or banks knew what it was, that is the full name www.bitcoin.com right there and they are walking away scot-free. derailing the btc project. Anyways don`t get fooled www.bitcoin.org is the real one. Bitpatent if anyone wants to make it, do it up!

If that would happen and he proven himself being the one and only then i would wait to see evidence on how much capabilities Bitcoin 2.0 would provide us. What sort ot network improvements would be released thus making Bitcoin 2.0 one of a kind. From those perspectives i would chose to move into 2.0 version or stay at current one.

I just had the sickest idea how to tie bitcoin"core" into bitcoin2.0 so both would be useful. Hey Satoshi hit me up if you want to save the world from us humans. I think the miners would love this and the investors also the average Joe using it. It would only make both the values go up and stop poverty world wide.

Seems to me Bitcoin can and will evolve as need arrises, so the idea of btc2.0 is kinda moot.. Just another greedy pin-head fantasy for the likes of Roger Ver, Jihan Wu, Craig Wright.
Like saying having an Internet 2.0 and moving everyone there...
We are already there and Bitcoin is moving with us....
Sooner the greedy dicks are left behind the better. IMHO...hahaha

^^^ The first Bitcoin Core is still in beta. If the Devs don't change it, anyone who creates a new version will o nly be creating an altcoin. Ongoing development - Bitcoin software is still in beta with many incomplete features in active development. New tools, features, and services are being developed to make Bitcoin more secure and accessible to the masses. Some of these are still not ready for everyone. Most Bitcoin businesses are new and still offer no insurance. In general, Bitcoin is still in the process of maturing.

Everyone is creating their own alt coins and claiming it to be bitcoin and making a ton of money from it, even if Satoshi comes out and create something, it will be another alt coin and since all the spin offs from bitcoin is having a huge market valuation, bitcoin 2.0 will also have a huge market cap and there is no doubt about it but nothing can replace bitcoin.

This ones intresting, well there are mixed answers for me in this situation. If he would be the real one then I guess yes, I would definitely go with his suggestion of migrating. I't because he's probably more knowledgeable than us and in any case, he wouldn't be creating another if there is something wrong with his first creation. Another is maybe is I am afraid of the current amount he has right now, if he goes public then people would be panicking, because some of us believe that he is dead and that million btc is lost forever.

I mean there does not need to be something wrong with the first creation, just they/he or she have a better creation. Look at Nintendo for example, or Windows, There was nothing wrong with their old creations, tech got better, ideas got better, they made new systems.

I think this whole Satoshi thing is irrelevant. Why should we care about him (let's suppose Satoshi is/was a 'he')? We got ten bloody years of experience a disappointing one. I know, some people are just happy with bitcoin as is, I'm not, along with 99.999% percent of human population on the planet who still live under a corrupted monetary system which is run by central banks and governments and bitcoin has done almost nothing for them. Let bitcoin whales and a bunch of smarties alone with their wealth and hobbies, people need a far more efficient alternative. Bitcoin is the most promising technology in recent decades and the most disappointing one at the same time, thanks to junior technocrats who confidently and arrogantly resist change by sticking to their 'soft-fork' obsession and their "let's feel super smart" addiction. It is not Satoshi's job, it is our responsibility and it is not about making fantasies about a utopic super-coin with magical power. It is about specific urgent technical improvements that we desperately need to overcome two major problems with current bitcoin: performance and centralization of mining. It is not even about the solution, it is about the determination and will, it is about commitment. So instead of what op is asking I prefer to ask: How committed you are to help with creating a truly decentralized and scalable Bitcoin?

what you are forgetting is that now that bitcoin is so popular and is still growing is not because of a single person behind it. it is instead because bitcoin is a decentralized currency and as a result it offers us unique utilities that nothing else in the world can do. and main point of Satoshi being anonymous has always been to keep bitcoin decentralized. coming out defeats that purpose and a secondary coin is going to be a shitcoin if uses the term "bitcoin 2.0"

Ain`t nobody making a utopic super coin with magical power, the coin is there it is called bitswift, with decentralized voting, fair distribution, basic income and file sharing. It is just a matter of getting people to use it. and refining it a bit so it is easier accessible and understandable to the general public. I am 100% committed as you can tell by my post, I even shove it in the bankers face everytime I walk past a bank, shove it to politicians look at my tweets but no one seems to notice, no one seems to care. They will in the future, they will be foced to, you are right though, I AINT WAITING FOR SATOSHI ANYMORE, in fact I am starting to despise the man, unless he actually did get killed by the "elite". I have showed the future of bitcoin, People are just blinded by greed. Sometimes you need to give up a ok thing for a great thing. The reason I wanted to satoshi to help as you can tell by this poll at the start of the post, he has the power and network of miners/people to get the ball rolling a lot faster. I know how to make it work within bitcoin itself, But hey, fuck it, I do me now. You want things done right, you got to do them yourself.

I would say yes, and I will follow Satoshi because I think if he came out with Bitcoin 2.0, it means that the technology will better than bitcoin, and we should follow him because I am sure that he will gather all technology from bitcoin into new technology. But I don't know if that will happen or not because we cannot find where Satoshi lived and it still a big question for us.
