As to co-main event, I dont know why UFC even got this guys out of their pocket? Ferreira fought almost a year ago. Quarantillo - almost 1.5 year ago. UFC wanted to blow off dust from them most likely These two have been out of work and payment for very long Btw both are fighting after being knocked out.

Both of the co-main fighters are not that young anymore, but I guess UFC didnt have anyone else to put in this card.
I cant say that I am excited watching most of the fights in this event except maybe main event and it doesnt have to be live stream watch.
We cant have smashing events all the time, but maybe it is bettr for UFC to reduce number of fighters, and they dont need to have evbents every week.

I was hoping to see more from Jan Blachowicz, but the fight didn't even go past the first round. Stirling was simply better. He was much faster and more aggressive. This was by far the biggest win in Stirling's career that put him in the top 10 in the Meta ranking and probably the same in the Media ranking (it doesn't seem to be updated yet).

In the main event, Uros Medic did even better. He only needed 30 seconds to finish Daniel Rodriguez. This was Medic's 4th win in a row.

I believe these fights are meant to trigger dismissals; they're pulling these guys out of their comfort zones to fight and prove themselves, otherwise new people will come in and replace them. It's pressure on the fighters not just to win, but to win very well.

Agreed! This might cause much knockouts because they will fight similar to the traders who will panic easily on high volatility and begin buying and selling profusely until all of their money is only a few dollars heehehe. This fight might make us witness much punches and kicks! They will do this profusely until they will very low stamina.

In any case, when is the next card that has bigger names? I do not like to watch these fights night cards because they are very boring.

UFC need to reduce number of events, not fighters. They used to have 20-30 events per year. Now they have 40+ and have pauses only on major holidays. With Paramount almost 8 billion deal and 7 year contract, UFC are not going to change anything. With almost 600 fighters in roster, it is always a big question how they manage to combine then and still we get events with random quality. We can get a Fight Night that is better than numerical event with couple of title fights in it.

^  They need to reduce the number of fighters if they need to reduce the number of events as the fighters have contracts, so if the UFC doesn't give them any fights then the UFC pays them if the organization can't fulfill its contractual obligation.

So meaning...  The UFC is leaking money with the fighters who they can't give match ups to.  The organization needs to get rid of them.

But for the Quarantillo vs Ferreria match, I think it's gonna be a banger.

The next numbered card is on August 15th. Until then, there will be another Fight Night, followed by the numbered card fight between Islam and Machado Garry. Could this be the beginning of Islam's downfall? I think Garry has a great chance in this fight if he knows how to defend takedowns.

It is highly unlikely we will see a reduction in events. This trend started with the ESPN deal, and now under Paramount, they have a contractual obligation to produce 43 annual live events.

I was watching all the videos building up to this event from former fighters, and the majority of their opinion is that Islam Makhachev will have the upper hand considering his grappling and wrestling skills. The only way Ian Machado Garry can win the fight is if he is able to finish it in the first two rounds. Once the fight goes to the later rounds, Islam Makhachev will find a way to dominate him and take him to the ground.

My prediction for the fight will be like the Ian Machado Garry vs Shavkat Rakhmonov fight. Garry was able to defend the takedowns during the initial rounds, but he was unable to defend them late in the fight. Rakhmonov won a decision against him, which stands as the only fight that went to a decision in Rakhmonov's undefeated career.
